I do like the Speed events in this game. They are a far step above Redout 1's where it was just a time trial with a different skin. Redout 2's Speed events are more like a combo of Redout 1's Score Attack and Speed.
I do wish they incorporated more from Score Attack and then some, like Perfect Lap bonuses, New Record bonuses, and Stunt (Barrel Roll) bonuses. But I like how they kept it focused and simple
