Is there much difference between the DT 770 32/80/250 regarding closed back for gaming?
In my personal Office I use sennheiser 559, but also need a closed back when gaming. I have a Soundblasterx G6 for my PC.
You know I definitely respect Andrew and golden for having a budget oriented set of headphones. I consider anything that can be on sale for less than 200 as a good deal for budget and i feel like if you're gonna do a top 3 headphones then dang actually make it mostly about headphones/iems

Don't have the chance but would like to hear Elysian Diva in person. Meze 109 Pro is surprisingly spacious and airy. Thank you guys for the video as always, very enjoyable to watch!
That Zähl HM1 looks like a sexy piece of gear for someone like me who mixes and listens to music with headphones equally.
How do you EQ headphones if you only listen to music on iPhone and using a Dongle DAC?

You won't hear these channels mention AA because they have affiliations with other brands.
AA is easily the best sound under 1000$, especially X60. Im sure it will destroy meze 109
No Neumann ndh 30 (open back)? Came out this year, surely the price puts them in a leading position in comparison to mostly anything
I have a small head and can confirm that I had comfort issues with the Edition XS, but the sound was so good to my ears.
All you have to do is buy the geekria sleeve on Amazon.
And your problem is solved
For me, best iem is the Soundz Blade, known brand to professional musicians mostly I guess
I would say the best headphone I got this year would be the Meze 109 pro as well. It’s just a good headphone for the money for both build quality and sound. Meze did a great job with this . IEM would be the 64 audio U6T. Prefer the warm and musical sound . And the dac+amp would be the ESS variant of the FiiO K9 pro .

Never knew the Qudelix 5K dropped THIS year.. 10:50 had some amazing picks.
The Qudelix is a superb little device
The Airpods Pro 2 are fantastic paired with the Apple TV 4K. The Dolby Atmos for movies is like being in a cinema. I love them. Not my first choice for music. I'm still a Beyerdynamic DT900 Pro Plus or Moondrop Blessing 2 devotee for that, but Airpods Pro 2 for movies every time!
interesting. How about delay? You know, bluetooth headphones usually have some latency issue for movies and gaming.
@@indradinho88 No delay, works amazingly with the Apple 4K TV. Highly recommend! Check the video from Elan Osborne - The Future of Home Theater from November 19th. The only thing missing are subs.
I agree! I upgraded to the new Apple TV and it has made everything much more smooth with my HomePods and AirPods.
whats the best headphone for listen music under 200$?
Ordered the hifiman edition xs for $379 on amazon. Coming from a HD600 and a modi/magni schiit stack, I'm looking forward to the new experience 👍
All of my big audio purchases this year were 2 channel related.... I picked up a Celestee + Ifi go blu at the end of '21 for "return to office" and have been satisfied still not sure on the Bathys. I do need a new streamer so Wiim Pro coming looks very interesting at the price point as I solely use Amazon HD music. Also considering picking up a pair of Meteors early next year. All in all a quiet year of hifi purchases for me.
14:59 Hifiman Edition XS is so good. Dekoni velour pads help with the squeeks and don't noticeably change the tonal balance for me.
What headphone would I use to plug into my guitar Amp. Amp is solid state katana.
You probably don't need more than an HD600 or HD650 for that use case -- plus, they're just great all-rounders.
When DMS talks he makes a lot of Shu shu sound, good for testing sibilance on headphones. lol.

One product above all of them is the airpods pro 2.
It is so convenient and alone it outsells the rest of the industry.
The issue is the best headphone is just hands down the same the last few years. The HE-1 of course nothing just comes but the price, just the price and the waiting period...
I wish the reviewers would elaborate on what makes the 109 pro a better choice than a Clear OG. They say that they love it, but don't really explain what its defining strengths are
Resolve here - comfort and soundstage. But personally I find the Clear OG still sounds better.

Air Pods Pro 2 is a really great entry level for the audiophile world. And the fact that's its convenient to carry around

9:08 oh god I love the Susvara so much. It sounds like how a headphone should sound. I'll never afford it, but wow it left an impression.
Regarding the Zähl, I don’t really believe the sound base adjustment replaces a cross feed. One of the most annoying thing with headphones is that they sound horrible with a signal where a sound source is pan potted (including reverb) 100% into either the left or right channel. It is to my ears physically painful to listen to just just a source where the signal just comes out of one channel. The only thing I can compare it to is listening with a bit of water remaining in one ear after the morning bath. Sadly some old recordings are recorded exactly like this. Just a tiny touch of cross feed will take care of this. Sound in real life is heard through two ears at a time not one. So I wish they would include a very, very subtle cross feed button to the undoubtedly very fine product. I would like from others if they are as sensitive to this. Try to swirl the balance button on your amplifier to either complete left or right and write back. As said I find it highly uncomfortable with headphones but obviously not with headphones 🤔

Golden has the most chocolatey smooth voice in the entire audiophile game. If he narrated nothing more exciting than Betty Crocker cookbooks, it would still be worth the listen.

Andrew's high end heaphones selections were very strange.
I've tried Roon twice now and while I love a lot of features it has, the software just doesn't like my PC - or the other way around. For example, everytime I turned my volume up or down on my amp, it automatically changes the output to my monitor speaker. Without any reason whatsoever. So sadly I've retired it for the second time already. I'll just stay with the native Qobuz app.
Dumb question but you’ve got the device set to fixed volume?

the best HP 2022 is the focal elear with dekoni elite velour pads. you can easily find it for 300 bucks (used), buy 60 bucks pads and youre officially high end. NOTHING beats that price wise..
and that combo doesnt sound that much different than the ullta expensive focal utopia. go for it. I'm in heaven for a few days now. it sounds so unbelievable wonderful :)

Aren't the new stealth magnet Ananda and edition xs, the very best? At those price points, nothing is close even.
I can confirm... the HD 600 are still very good. HD 600 and Sundara at $300 are a great entry drug into the HP Hobby
I just wish the HD600 was more open for classical music; it suffers in that regard. Sundara also suffers from an unnatural timbre, again hurting classical music. You see a theme here, classical music enjoyers suffer and price to pay is with their wallets--$300 headphones don't cut it.
@@NFStopsnuf I could see that. You might have to get up to that HD 800s price range to really find a headphone that performs really well with Classical/Orchestral music genre's. I actually use my HD 600 pretty much exclusively with Tube Amps like the LYR3 Hybrid amp. The 600 really synergize well with tubes and take things up another notch

I thought it was a refreshing perspective. Sometimes people can get swept up in novelty bias, chasing the newest flavor-of-the-month product when better options already exist. I had a similar experience when I picked up a DT880 600 ohm and realized what a ridiculous value it provides in its price class
