I have an IPad Air 5. I just use it for working. My last IPad was an IPad 7. It just turned black and then it was trash. Couldn’t be repaired. I only use my Air 5 for working, because I don’t want to be distracted all the time by other Apps, notifications etc… That’s why I’m searching for a really cheap IPad I can use for online Shopping or Watching RUclips (just as an alternative to my Phone). Is this IPad good for my reason? Would you recommend it?

Its a bit slow, even safari is slow and glitchy on it. Some apps on app store will revert to an older version for the ipad while others dont allow it. If you get the ipad mini 3 for multiple and heavier uses its a bad idea.
My ipad mini 3 has 77% battery health according to the iMazing program which is good considering its 10 yrs old.
I found a cheap old e-reader 1-2 weeks ago and actually love it. It is much kinder on the eyes and comfortable to read. Its light to hold and battery lasts weeks maybe. I love it so much that im thinking of investing in a Kobo Clara 2E or Clara bw. I will keep using this old e-reader for a while to fully decide. . E-readers typically last 1 week up to a month. Some of them have expandable storage, wifi, bluetooth, color, android/linux, audiobook etc etc There are many features, models and brands.
I barely pick up the ipad mini. But if you read a lot of manga it might work for you. If you read text then e-reader is better imo.
