You would like for tickets to explode, as you just bought a few the other day.
Hes starting to show all the hallmarks of a pump and dumper at this point.
@@johnniejay Starting? It's what he's been doing with his app and most of his videos.
@@johnniejay he's been a pumper since day one. Only now are all the new people noticing.
Who gives a shit?
😅
My pump and dump detector just went off
I don’t think they will be on the same level as cards but there is certainty a lot of room for them. When you consider the cost is only 50 dollars to submit a ticket to PSA it’s pretty appealing. I submitted my WWE Survivor Series “Montreal Screw Job” ticket on December 9th and it’s already on its way back. Not to mention it’s going for over 500 on EBAY.
Earl, when I first saw this video I raised an eyebrow. Now that I know there is a Montreal Screwjob ticket out there (HBK is my favorite wrestler of all time), I'd pay $500 for one!
Tickets are cool, only if you were the one to go to the event. I don’t find buying someone else’s ticket special.
So I display a ticket to a Super Bowl in my house and someone asks about it and I reply “I actually never went to the game, I watched it on TV?”
I mean collect what you’d like, but I hate this as an investment narrative
Tickets are memorabilia... that will always take a backseat to cards. I saw you bought a bunch of tickets, that's not why you want them to blow up right? Lol
I have always kept my tickets for the events I go to and also opted to pay the extra $5 to have my tickets printed vs. PDF. I think the ticket is the closest thing to the event that the normal person can get a hold of if they want a piece of that game or concert or whatever. I always thought they were undervalued but I never tried to buy more. I have a few hundred unused concert tickets also, from things like Amy Winehouse's canceled last tour, tickets that I had originally bought to resell for the live event. I have tickets for Michael Jackson's memorial, Adele at a tiny club, Kobe's 81 and final game, Brett Favre's record breaking ones with the Vikings, Nolan Ryan's last strikeout. I do think tickets to major milestones or deceased musicians will jump at some point. It's one collectible where the day after the event, half of the tickets are already in a trash can, and a ton of others are bent or creased. It's a very limited pop count. I don't think they'll ever become as popular as cards, but there's definitely a market for them.
Good luck with your tickets, I’ll just collect what I like. You do you.
As a collector of NFT sports cards only, I'm absolutely interested in physical tickets. Too many downsides to physical cards that NFTs solve and do better. But tickets on the other hand is directly connected to a physical moment where that ticket entered that event. I can see physical tickets being the future of collecting physical.
No. This video is 26:00 too long
Isn’t this the guy that Dana White wants to slap around? 😂 I keep hearing Dana reference this name.
I have a ticket from MJ’s HOF inauguration in Mass. It comes along w a great memory in which I shared w a close friend that has passed since.
I have a game ticket from a Monday Night football game I went to when the Broncos played the Giants on 9/10/01. The night before 9/11
No. I’m sure you bought a bunch before posting this video though.
tickets are tied to an event/moment and sacred in numbers. It´s a true collector thing and not as shallow as photo sports cards they printed of millions or hundreds of thousand..
you want some cards collection to complete, you just join ebay, take a couple of hours maybe and you got your complete collection..and there´s prolly 10.000 psa 10th of every card out there..
try to complete a series getting all HOFERS debuts in MLB tickets..good luck..or all home runs..or every heavyweight champ starting with John L Sullivan till today..lifetime task!
thats why its a true collector thing for me, you´ve to put effort in and be patient and then, when an item pops up you´ve been waiting years for and you actually get it..man what a feeling!
I have an unused ticket from a Syracuse univ bball game vs Notre Dame when melo played 🔥
I bought a Nirvana Full ticket for a concert he was supposed to play at but committed suicide the next day. current psa pop is 1. Cost was $150
Thanks Geoff, this show it brought back fond memories of my first NFL game I attended 👍
MAN you articulate sports history (GOAT)
Great episode Geoff. I love to meet collectors like this who really enjoy the hobby.
Great information and another avenue to enjoy.
Maybe had you not hung out with the ticket guy the entire Chantilly show you could have bought all of my Lonzo cards. I gots steals and deals.
“Helloooooooo ticket Investors”
the honus wagner of tickets is that golden ticket that charlie has
I collect super bowl tickets stubs and complete ticket 🙌
I wonder what the value is for Steve Bartman's actual ticket stub.
Yes I own all 7 of Tom Brady Super Bowl Win Full Tickets all PSA Graded
Great interview
No they aren't, jusf like driving up select sales, trying to drive up the tickets he recently bought. Bad advice.
That’s because everyone has gotten wise to their investment advice and been burned and now just looking for the next thing to put a dollar into their pockets. Tickets can be forged so easily, especially Super Bowl tix.
Do you think there is any added value to selling a complete rainbow or would it always be best to break it up?
Most stadiums are ticketless now
lmfaoooooooo that’ll really help peoples attachment and nostalgia with tickets going forward in this market. 🤣
I think that fact drives up sales for past unused tickets.
Thats a great thing for the ticket market.
actually since you are not a ticket collector you know nothing a true seasoned ticket collector knows there is always tickets available if there is a box office there are tickets available its getting more tricky how to get them printed but give box office people a bit of hell and they will print them for you! just got to remind them who has the money and who wants the money! but just so you know true seasoned ticket collectors know that Media passes/credentials or players family passes/credentials are also considered Tickets if it entitled you entry to an event in they eyes of true seasoned ticket collectors its a ticket it might not be a general public ticket but its a ticket none the less and Passes/credentials are MUCH more rare then general public tickets (season or box office) face the fact card collectors tickets are the NEXT big thing and may become bigger collectible then Cards!
Thanks for the gay reply
I believe tickets for significant events, and/or GOAT milestones definitely have collectibilty. They're linked to specific history!
agree!
I'm curious what the value of a ticket stub from Darryl Sittler's 10 point game would be worth? An amazing NHL record that has stood since 1976. Any thoughts on this?
Get it slabbed by PSA. Probably worth a few hundred dollars.
✳ The fact is.BTC is the future of crypto and the questions traders ask themselves now if this is right time to invest? before jumping into conclusion i think you should take a look at things first. for the past few days the price of BTC has been fluctuating which means the market is currently unstable and you cant tell if it is going bearish or bullish. while others still continue to trade without the fear of making lose, others are being patient. it all depends on the pattern with which you trade and also the source of your signals. i would say trading has been going smoothly for me, i started with 2.5 BTC and i have accumulated over 12 BTC in just three weeks,,with the trading strategy given to me by expert trader Mr Baker signal.....
Baker signal is life and financial breakthrough, all thanks to Mr Baker once more 😎
his signals are so accurate and he take his time to teach you how to execute trades correctly before asking you to invest 💰
You are correct about your statement… of course the right signal is what we need to succeed in trading bitcoin 💯✅
Is Select retail actually ruined Select? I don’t think so. Could you make a sequel for the video a year ago?
The smoothest voice in the game 😉 #24 🇨🇦🇵🇭🇺🇸
I have 1 each of Ichiros last 2 games in Japan both full tickets. Going to send to psa.. pristine too
Ive thought of trying this. They're not as popular as sports cards will ever be, but tickets might eventually gain some popularity. I see lots of haters in the comments, buy hey, anything is possible with tickets. Ive seen stranger things gain value. Not everyone is going to agree, and that's perfectly fine. This doesn't mean that there won't ever be a hot market for it. Lots of people have hated sports cards throughout the years, but that never stopped them from becoming valuable and collectible.
Agree and Tickets will always be much more rare then cards hands down look at a Jackie Robinson Rookie there are over 1000" graded by psa now look at a Jackie Robinson debut ticket there is maybe 8 known to exists right now you can do this with ANY big Name players card Cards compared to Tickets will always be More Plentiful! Jackie Robison debut ticket just sold for $400,000 again ticket collecting is till in its infancy cards coins stamps have been around for almost 100 years ticket collecting maybe 30-40 years at best ticket are getting more popular and Collectors from other hobbies are now finally realizing with LONG time ticket collectors already know that they are MUCH more rare and scarce then mass produced collectibles in the hobbies that these collectors are coming from (mostly cards and autographs) and yes just like there are people that are negative toward Tickets maybe its because they feel tickets are starting to take the MOJO of Cards! i see in the future that Tickets get to be as popular Or even Surpass Cards
@@adamstratton1393 You might be right. I agree that these tickets are so undervalued! I just bought a 1951 ticket stub of Mays' rookie year for dirt cheap! Unreal how cheap some of this stuff is, especially compared to cards!
I own tickets from Tony Gwynn milestones. I collect it because he's my favorite all-time athlete. 😁
In tickets I like peoples first games obviously but i like historic players final matchups just as much.
Whatever people post as the next HOT thing people will follow.
Had a game unused ticket with big mac on it and it was stolen. Also had the opening day ticket of the SF Giants new stadium. It got stolen
People are really "reaching" for the next big thing now for other collectables hahaha. whats next? Pez dispensers :)
Actually a thing lmao
eBay was created to sell Pez dispensers true story
@@cardsandcomics lol :)
Exactly, these hustlers have already burned the card market and now looking for the next thing to hype to keep their sad company going.
Leaf seems to think tickets are the next collectible and are cutting them in 1/2 to fit their holders. That's dumb. Each ticket should have a diff seat number and they don't know what they are doing.
I’m sure there is a market for this stuff, but hard pass for me. “Great” is probably a stretch
Wouldn't this pump up sports tickets? Is this ethical?
Ever watch CNBC?
Dont ever buy something you dont love............ I have wish stock and i hate the company.... i dont know what i was thinking.
Power Collector in the flesh!!
Useful.
I have two unused books of Capitals playoff tickets from 2016. Any idea on what they are worth? I went to the Kentucky Derby that year and only used two games. I was able to use the e-tickets and sold e-tickets for the games I did not go to. I also have the Kentucky Derby tickets I would like to have graded.
The tickets that weren’t used or “ripped” are worth more than the ones tore in half I’m almost certain
@@jordanhudson5075 they are entire books. No tickets were torn from either book.
Probably something to a Capitals fan but otherwise a little bit more than the used tickets themselves because they don’t rip tickets anymore, they just scan them so there are thousands of them out there.
Owning a ticket from an event you appreciate its one of the closest things to actually being there. Unlike cards, these pieces are actual memorabilia from that day. I really think tickets are undervalued. Im still buying some Legend debut tickets for 2 digit prices, which is insane. I visualize a wild future for tickets.
Totally Agree! i Know a lot of True Seasoned Ticket collectors (not profiteers like many that are coming over from other hobbies like cards and autographs are only in it for the Pump and Dump they may not history but just because they know and can repeat history of an event does not make them a true collector neither does a HUGE collection especially IF you just started collecting i could see if it took him 30 to 50 years to amass that collection where he would appreciate it A WHOLE lot more like most true seasoned collectors have done but sadly that is not the case people in there replies have already called it for what it is) its amazing No one picked up on tickets for the last 30 to 50 years! but that shows how closed mind they are only once they are hot do they realize DUH BTW the only way for the price of tickets to go are UP and UP More rare and scarce then Cards or any other massed produced Collectible Hands down any day of the week! and Tickets will eventually become a mainstream hobby and cards will possibly take a backseat to tickets! just my 2 cents happy ticket collecting all! remember don't treat it like an investment and you will always have fun! to those that only treat it as an investment one piece of advice never invest MORE then your willing to lose!
Interesting he bought Super Bowl tickets a couple months ago and now wants to push tickets as the next "investment" . I hate watch this show. Only reason still subscribed
I keep Tickets to games/concerts that I go to, but have no interest in others...But there is a market for them, just like there are people collecting toys, coins, stamps, antiques, art work, lunchboxes, video games, autographs. Coca Cola items, bicycles, dvd's, everything is a collectible to someone and if you enjoy it then why not, collecting isn't always about the money and future resell value, sometimes you just collect for the fun of it
pump.... pump....pump........... dumpppppppppp.. make ever one want it and sale it for profit
I prefer sports magazines, they display so much better for collectors than tickets. Backlog at CGC for grading is getting huge.
Another pump and dump
It will not be tickets, it will be politicians auto. Just sold a PSA 10 Donald Trump auto card for $7,000. One of one
Music intro needs to be louder
Jeff, do you think this could be the “ticket” to success? 🤠
PoP counts are over rated unless it is the only one ever, but I had PoP 1 PSA 10 Dwayne Haskins Rookie Card and nobody cares.😂😂😂 Now if you have a PoP one Ty Cobb that is something, but a PoP one ticket, nah!✌they sold 20,000, 50,000, or more.
Easy answer… no
How can a Mets fan wear an Atlanta Braves hat? It's sacrilegious! 😜
I agree your investment into tickets from a previous video shows your greed , I’m done with you and so should others !
Why cant you come out with these videos when Im done buying what Im looking for. Youll be reporting on Skeds next..
Influencers can pump& dump!!I see nothing special here!!This was recorded a month ago! You won’t catch me on the way down!! Or at the bottom of the barrel looking up!! I don’t like this episode!! Good-Luck!!
Junk
This is such low niche & only appeals/caters to people with money & out of most budgets. Yes cards aren’t cheap but they are readily available with many options. The stuff these guys talk about are not easy to find so I wonder what they expect an entry level person with a limited budget to be collecting.
Thoughts on laminated tickets?
Totally destroys the value. People did that with tickets and shellacking autographed baseballs to preserve them and they were worthless.
GO BRAVOS
Karen Rovell
I'm sorry but this is nothing like cards 👎 the day a ticket out sales a rookie card will be the day I believe tickets are worth anything until then...... NICE TRY 🤷♂️
so yeah card collector keep talking down tickets but like it or not Tickets are on the rise and will surpass your Massed Produced NOT RARE or SCARCE at all collectibles you call cards which in my opining are just Pieces Of Card board with a picture on it never seen why people collect or invest in them (ooh wait isn't that what your saying about tickets loll) especially when they are SO OVER POPLUATED! by the way people from the card hobby and autograph hobby are crossing over and seeing and REALIZING just how MUCH more rare and hard to find tickets are then Sports cards!
just so others can see what the article states
"In April of 2018, a badge to the first Masters sold for nearly $120,000. It’s original value was $2.20. Knowing what it was worth in a world where there was virtually no market for tickets, this ticket could easily leap to the top if it surfaced again.
In the past year and a half, sports tickets have turned into a hot collectible. Just last month, Heritage Auctions sold a Jackie Robinson debut ticket for $480,000, the record at the time. The only known full ticket to Michael Jordan’s debut sold for $468,000.
Of the previous 10 most expensive collectible tickets ever sold, one was golf related. Three of them are NFL related - all based on Tom Brady. Three tickets surrounding key Michael Jordan events are on the list, and three baseball tickets complete the order."
this says it all Tickets are Coming and there's nothing card collectors can do about they will be as big or bigger then cards that's just a fact
@@adamstratton1393 I'll believe it the day I see tickets on the rise, just because one is mentioned or if you are mentioned doesn't mean they're on the rise and yes I agree some are rare they are one / one so our cards are autographs doesn't mean you got anything more special than the next I'm assuming you must have tickets and you're one of those that believe that you've got something special
nice... but not sports.... .....
Are they the next big investment?
No.
Cool
I disagree 100%....... I have over 60 friends that are collectors and not one of them owns a ticket stuff that's autographed let alone graded, 👎 this is not going to be the future of collecting there is no money in it. Seems to me like this was a hype job to help your friend get rid of his items 🤷♂️ I love the sports card investor app but you guys and your show are starting to stray away from why people follow this site and it's definitely not for tickets stubs 🤦♂️
Collecting =/= investing
Collecting is NOT investing there 2 separate things (love how people try to intertwine the 2 Never is going to work though) that is a fact if your investing then your investing and ONLY in it for the money your just as bad as the 2 apples on the RUclips channel! if your a true collector then your NOT investing your collecting and if something goes up or down DOES Not bother you at all! because what you get stays in your PC your not selling or flipping
I pray nobody listens to Karen rovell…
If you think investing into a ticket that was used as admission to get into a sporting event could be a good investment please just light all your money on fire. Because you’ll be left with the same outcome. Come on. Be real. Such obvious pumping of this market since you just invested heavy you really wanna see those ticket sale comps go up.
No tickets are not the next opportunity because of limited inclusion...you want most people involved..IMO
Kidding me right? Tickets? Man...next thing is going to be Funko Pops and then Beanie Babies
Lol, no doubt, especially if Geoff finds them on the shelf at his local Walmart 🤣
Everyone’s shitting on them but idk I like it
More like "boring normie pop culture trash" collection. YIKES!
