This is an 11 bar blues!! Yeah, that's weird right? I think this particular riff lends itself to major pentatonic mostly. You can change to minor pentatonic on the IV chord (C7). Or you can even play minor pentatonic over the whole thing!

Has there ever been a more satisfying track to jam over!? Love the song (also love AC/DC's Ride On which has some similarities). My favourite approach is minor pentatonic and Dorian but throwing in major 3rds here and there - you can really go for those classic, tumbling Angus Young style runs. I'll be focusing on the A-C change as well, to try something tasty in those little moments there. Fabulous jam track, thank you!!

speaking as someone who can play this song, it's correct. one of many reasons why NYS is one of the best in backing tracks.
