Arturo Gatti he was always a C Plus fighter hed rely on his punching power to get him back into fights. This here hes just in waaaaay over his head in there with a top 5 all time talent. Floyd was extra pissed off going into this bout he assaulted a club bouncer and had to go to court for that so this was him taking out all his frustrations out on Gatti. I grew up watching Pretty Boy Floyd he was a high light reel back then. Very fun to watch because he straight up took it to u didnt give u time to breath.

Good comments, as far that corner man with Castillo, you have to think, a boxer is like a race horse, a commodity, not yours, but their own. They make their living boxing. A boxer is blind in the ring. I used to do it. You see red and you want to keep going, hell or high water or death itself, but that corner man knows there will be other fights. Stopping this one lets you keep fighting whereas if they let you go and you get knocked into the next decade enough you're done and there are no more fights, or if not that, you might spend the next 10 months to a year in recovery from getting your ass beat bad enough whereas if they stop this one now, that you're likely not going to win anyway, you heal faster, fight sooner and get back to what you do best. They're looking out for you. You hate them for it at the time, but at the end of the day it's good to have someone with some perspective able to call the shots. ...and no I wasn't a big boxer, definitely not professional, but I got in the ring quite a few times in my days in the USMC out in town at a boxing club. I wish Paquiao and Mayweather's fight had been better, Paq was fighting with an injury and it showed. ...was set for that to be a good one.

My fav boxer of all time was Roy Jones Jr, i would love to see Mayweather in his prime vs Jones jr in his prime, i know there differeny weight classes but they both fought middleweight matches so it could have happened, timing was just off. Jones in his prime was when Floyd was coming up, but in a fantasy fight with both the same size both in there prime would be a great fight to watch, i think Jones would give it to Floyd, i think Sugar Ray Leonard would have givin it to Floyd as well.
It still wouldnt have worked. Floyd slowed down when he tried to fight at middle weight which is why he dropped back to welterweight and Roy was weight drained at middle weight so he moved up. If they both fought at middle weight they both wouldn't have had been at a hundred percent.

To anyone who thinks that boxing is safer than MMA, may I refer you to the standing eight count. Every one of those fights would have been stopped far sooner by any MMA ref worth a dang. Those repeated concussions are far worse for you than anything likely to happen in a given MMA fight.
also in MMA if you get KD you can stay down and fight off your back. in boxing if you get KD you have to get up to beat a count, even if you don't even know where you are clearly anymore xD
