I respectfully disagree, but it's coming from bias. I work in a stage Union, and the stage is made out of some equipment we use on the job, such as truss, pipe and drape, show cases, etc. I love my job, and this stage reminds me of the work I do.
My guess is that this is meant to be a version of the map that's still actively being worked on. It works great for big run and the cannons were awesome (especially with all grizzco weapons since you get to save all the ink you'd typically spend throwing eggs), but the center area does seem too open and basic for a multiplayer stage. It would make sense if lore-wise, they were still building the stage only for big run to interrupt its construction.
This was by far the big run map I've performed best on It was really fun especially on low and normal tide I got an for me all time record of 207 eggs on this map My favorite big run definitely
Its definitely my favorite big run stage, it made salmon run in general much easier, plus I finally got a slopsuit that I've been grinding for almost 2 years because of that big run, and I got Eggsecutive VP for the first time too
my only issue with the map is how cramped those paths next to mid are during regular/high tide makes low tide gone fission hyrdro plant look open i think the splatfest version will be better btw i wanna mention there seems to be blue tar covering some weird looking objects im willing to bet that is the stage gimick
The 3 cannon looking things on the stage that are covered, problem are cannons! Maybe if a team grabs an ultra signal, the cannon in the middle will fire an ink explosion of that team’s ink color around the map! And if that team grabs the second ultra signal the other two cannons will fire as well! However if the other team grabs the second one, the cannon will switch ink colors every time it firers!
For me I think it's meant to be a teaser for the stage rather than the actual stage, mostly just because this feels like it was designed with Big Run in mind. Hoping that the stage will be given a bit of a glow up, especially on the attacking spawns. Felt like it was under construction, which is cool if thats what the devs intended.
I think it's my favorite Big Run Stage in Splatoon 3 plus I finally defeated the Three Boss for the very first time during this event which was extremely satisfying.
Who cares about the stage layout THEY FINALLY BROUGHT BACK STICKERS ON A STAGE FOR A SPLATFEST! (For context in S2 for every special fest (splatoween, frostyfest, springfest, and final fest) there were stickers relating to the theme plastered around every single stage, kinda like what goes on in splatsville and inkopolis in S3 but in multiplayer stages.) I've missed those so much and I'm so glad to see them back, even if it's for only one stage.
My desire for a Moray Towers size map in S3 has yet to be quenched, and this would've been a fitting time to get a fairly big stage so I pretty much agree
The attackers have a nice variety of points they can squid surge up from in the trenches by spawn, but I get what you’re saying. It does seem like chargers could easily hole up the attackers at spawn. Hopefully they’ll add some rails that offer routes that negate the backliners advantage.
Let’s just get to the point. I believe the Grand Splatlands Bowl is THE BEST big run map out of the 8 maps. Low tide/normal tide is amazing since all of the action is happening in one place, the egg cannons really help for moving eggs, especially if you’re on one of the outer areas, and it’s just way more fun compared to other big run maps (Inkblot Art Academy). Also I think that this map is going to be amazing for tricolor. And I’m pretty sure it’s called a bowl because it’s set around an actual stage, sometimes referred to as a “bowl”. I might be wrong I just checked google to make sure I was possibly correct.
Me when judging a stage that technically isn’t finished, even as I played the map there is definitely a lot of things that need to be added but we’re specifically for Big Run. The stage is not in its Tri-color form so I reserve the right to criticize it properly.
I like that it has good flanks and ditches but it lacks onstage deccoration and lacks some walls and covers. otherise it's a good tri color stage and a decently fun salmon run stage
tbh I think its so underwhelming is because this is what these stages should have been instead of being a map but better than the base map, but bad for tricolor
Well I mean it looks pretty unfinished, like it was still being made when the big run happened, so maybe it'll look a lot different later? I thought it was good
I am not a big salmon run player I will admit, so take this with some salt. I... actually kinda liked it. The main area was cramped! But if you kept the walls painted and stayed on top of the poor salmonids, it kept a nice pace. Of course, the nuke tier grizz splatana and stringer caused a few wipes. There was alot of salt in my sessions regarding low-level EVP and under. My only issue with salmon run has always been the poor rewards and the lack of custom options. I really wish the dev team would stop limiting so much player option. It would only make the game better. But regarding GsB, it was straight. Nothing crazy, but I had a gud time.

That's wholesome
Unrelated but very based of u to be respectful instead of screaming at him
Thumb up for being a union member.
" It feels a bit small and cramped" it is a Splatoon 3 map after all.
Oof

Id rather have a small map thats good than a big map thats horrible (scorch)

SAME!!! And it was an all Wildcard (aka Grizzco weapon) Rotation which added even more fun to it
I coincidentally also got a record of 207
Its definitely my favorite big run stage, it made salmon run in general much easier, plus I finally got a slopsuit that I've been grinding for almost 2 years because of that big run, and I got Eggsecutive VP for the first time too
Man that grind is grimy

I still haven’t done that yet but now I don’t care since I got a gold trophy.
I get the cramped thing since everyone usually spend all the time in the middle even if the basket wasn't there
This map was honestly underwhelming but it might change drastically during the fest
This aged like fine wine
@@CalaHestoomi it did.. 🤡🤡🤡🤡

Hear me out. This map is gonna get a rework once we get the update for grand fest.

@@willoesd2449 I didn't call it "mid" and who's y'all? I rarely complain about anything in this game
I feel like I can't judge based off of Salmon Run.
