It would be nicer if the meter can show you a diagram of all the lines and splitter in the house. Which line is bad and could possibly be damaged or loose fittings creating the ingress? And that's just checking noise, that Radio Shack cable probably has all sorts of errors with no shielding. So, the pressure tester is just to check loose connections, nothing to really help you with a damaged cable if you can't get into a certain part of the home to see if it's physically damaged or why there is ingress on that particular line.
