One of the oldest and most popular pasta dishes that is believed to have originated in Naples Italy. This version has four layers of meat and uses fresh ricotta cheese instead of white sauce. With fresh basil and Italian sausage it takes it to another level. It's fantastic dinner party food as once the work is done, you simply reheat the dish and serve square portions. Plus everyone loves a great Lasagna. This is my version, enjoy!

I made this today and my family loved it...never made lasagna before....thank you so much for the video
Chef Joel, you’re completely amazing. Thank you for everything you provide for us. 🌷🌷🌷
Everytime I made lasagna , I will always refer to your receipe and it never failed.the whole family like it very much..Thanks alot!!
Happy to hear that Roseli! 😊
As an italian I'm bound to the traditional version with besciamelle sauce but this version seems really good and I will try it
Just a suggestion. Put some warm tap water into a pan, 3 or 4 inches. A few minutes before you start to construct the lasagna soak the noodles in the warm water. This helps to keep the the no boil noodles from being chewy.
Good suggestion, thanks!
seattwa z an even easier way is to just add a tiny bit of water to the sauce so the noodles soaks it up. Never fails
That's a good idea. I use the no boil ones and that's what happens, it is chewy. Thanks for this tip!
That's exactly what I do but I dump the warm water and replace it with tap/cold water to prevent the noodles from sticking.
I made this last night. Absolutely delicious.Thank you, from Tokyo.
YUMMY! I now hear your “Theme Music” in my dreams! ♥️👍🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Yes, can you imagine what I went through, that's why I had to change 😂
This music is nice, don't change ,🎵🎶
I love this video. So simply & easy! 💕👏🏼💕👏🏼💕👏🏼💕👏🏼
Folks, one big key to this recipe is parmesan reggiano, it is in its own class, anyone can make parmesan cheese, but parm reggiano only comes from a region of italy, never seen it sold pre-shredded, comes in a wheel and portioned out in wedges. All other parms are in a race for second place. 2 differences, taste and price. Taste is supreme, cost parm reggiano 15 to 20 u.s., dollars more a pound, but is pungent and a little goes a long way. The wax ring/rind on the parm reggiano will always have that in dotted print on the ring/rind and no other parm maker can use it.
It looks like really yummy; I’m Hungarian who has lived in Tuscany for 30 years so I’m cooking mostly ‘in Italian’ but I’ll try it!🤗
Thanks really thanks...i love your hand cook...

I've already made three of your chicken recipes, your zucchini too, and cannit wait to try this! I was wondering, are those noodles the no-cook kind or regular lasagna noodles? They look thinner than what I've tried before. Thank you for your recipes, love them!
+mel glenn Thanks Mel, yes the "Noodles" are the "No Boil" type, I used to believe that using them was a cop out, but after extensive taste tests they always come up trumps! :)
+Recipe30 Oh thanks for responding, can't wait to make this, I'm sure it'll be delish like your other recipes!
Yes you can but you'll need to half cook them first.
I will make this tonight for dinner!!💙
Hope you enjoy
My mouth is already watering🤤

That’s looks so delicious. I usually have to add extra water after assembling it to prevent dryness.

My favorite lasagna! It’s crazy, it’s so attractive. . . I want to eat!
Enjoy Harry! 👍
Yes..I used the no boil pasta
I'am your fan.
👏😮wow looks great
Hey Joel, I used to not be a fan of oven ready or no boil lasagna, but now I like them, sort of like a crepe'.
I might do another type of lasagna soon but home made pasta sheets (or noodles as called in US)
I miss the red wine 🍷 for the meat sauce 😀!
Yummy 👍😀
Just looking at it makes me feel hungry 😀👍🏼
Waw 😍😍😍waw😊👍👍👍👌👌💓💗💝💝😍😍💝💝💝💓💓💝💝💝👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
I really want to make this but neither my husband nor I like ricotta cheese so could I substitute cottage cheese? 1%, 2%, dry curd? Thank you
New idea
Possible make it with chicken?
Never heard of carrots in lasagna even mushrooms is odd. But it does look good
How deep is your Lasagna Pan? Our standard (13x9x2) is too shallow, better yet, what is the make & model of your pan? Thanks,
Hi Chef Joel! If I were to freeze this lasagna, what directions would you recommend for reheating from frozen. grazie mille! Sam.
Great recipe...can you just tell what is the purpose of baking by covering the baking dish with aluminium foil ?
Helps contain the moisture.
always put ovenbakingpaper between the aluminium and the food for health reasons. . (pardon my english 😕)

In Netherlands we have Ricotta in very small packages and it's very expensive. Since I want to make this Lasagne for 8 people I need a lot of Ricotta but I'm broke these days lol. So can I use cream cheese instead and can I replace the meat with minced chicken? I really want to try this recipe.
Thank you! ❤
Love SRK I've have used low fat cream cheese and instead of beef, lamb mince. Came out quite nice. Also, I grated my mozzarella on the top with a quarter cup of panko bread crumbs for texture
I use cottage cheese
I never use ricotta or cottage cheese in my lasagne. I use Fontina, Asiago, fresh mozzarella and parmesan.
Don't soak the needles just layer it up and cook one hour remove saves on clean
Yummy😋😋👏👏👏
👍👍😀
Yummmmm
Enjoy!
I add chopped onions, garlic and spices to my lasagna.
Great demo.
Skipped ricotta layer.
Terrible music.
Can i use a microwave instead of oven?
👍👌
You forgot ricotta on your second layer of pasta!!!!🤣
Pls share vegg also
I have, a mushroom one.
@@recipe30 can h pls share Spain and Indonesia Jakarta dishes famous in vegg
Where is the seasoning!? Lol
Very expensive ingredients in my country 😅
Oh really, where are you from India? I will be there this year.
Recipe30 yeah really, I am from Indonesia 😂
Ah okay, I was there a couple months ago :)
@Rifky Almahdi check his travel vlogs
@Recipe30 I have been see your travel vlog about Indonesia food I'm from Indonesia too not in Bali
In Indonesia 1 mozzarella cheese is 75.000 rupiah that just about 7.45 dollar Australia, you from Australia right?
when I tried with no boil lasagna layer, the pasta was not as soft as this video, why?
+deni hermawan Were they thicker sheets or maybe just not quite cooked enough due to different oven temps.
+Recipe30 thanks
Most "no-boil" recipes state 1 hour.....haven't tried recipe but noticed the bake time. Just increase total cook time to an hour
Why cook the meat for so long? Nothing in this pot will take that long to cook
It's not to cook the meat it's to intensify the flavour.
I tried this recipe and my lasagna came out dry...what am i doing wrong?
Was it the no boil pasta you used or standard?
Yes..I used the no boil pasta
Did you cook it long enough properly covered? It sounds like there's not enough moisture or maybe the pasta sheets are thicker.
Should I use the standard pasta next time?

What type of recipe vid doesn't include the recipe in the description or a link that goes DIRECTLY to the recipe? The freakin thing is even called "recipe30!" What a joke~
I'm not sure what the issue is, everyone else has found the recipe, but here's the link anyway Rachel, happy cooking :) www.recipe30.com/lasagna.html/
Rachel X. Having a bad day? Lol
