Holy Moly allright! I've been following Dimash for 3 years now and I still say it when I hear him. The more you discover Dimash , the more you will find out that not only has his voice "tricks" have improved but he has become quite the performer also.
The more you delve into DIMASH the more amazed and shocked you will be, as he is different every performance, he always "throws" a new "wrinkle" at you each time he performs, and you get "blown away" by what he does as it catches you unexpectedly. That's DIMASH, enjoy the journey.
Others have probably said it, but it can't be said enough. This song and performance just barely scratch the surface of what this amazing guy can do and has done. You truly have no idea. None of us did. We are left breathless and speechless, time after time.
That was over five years ago. He still keeps practising and exploring his vocals so you can’t imagine what he can do now. I love Stranger from New Wave 2021 and Ikenaide from the Tokyo jazz festival which was live streamed. These two show lots of techniques Dimash. has mastered. The way I found to celebrate the majesty of Dimash's talent was to have written the following about him: If I were to rule the world, I would immediately add, to the universal declaration of human rights, another article (they would become 31) whose wording would next "All human beings have the right, at least once in their lives, to hear Dimash sing". I am a Professor and I believe that I have a special profession that allows me to transform the human heart and consequently the human society. I work with young people and young people need to have good references. I had been looking for someone for a long time, of whom I could speak to the young people I work with, as a good reference. That person should be young, a super talent, a super mega star in the art world and above all, because he is the most important, a good human person. I searched and never found anyone with these characteristics. Until, finally, I found this person and that person is Dimash. This was 6 yrs ago, he was 22 at the time of "Singer" competition the youngest and the only foreigner competing among professional and established singers in China. Its a 14 episode contest, Dimash won ep 1 where he sang SOS(French), ep2 Opera2(Russian) and ep6 Adagio,. He came 2nd overall this 14 episodes but won the hearts of Chinese audience and gained global fame. He personally gave tha name Dears to his fans. The copyright to Golden is held by the Swedish songwriters and is super tight unfortunately. Normally even if a song gets blocked it will get unblocked on appeal as he has no problems with people reacting to his videos. He actually made an Instagram post thanking reactors for spreading awareness of his new song The Story of One Sky. It's normally the video that gets blocked not the audio so it helps to put a transparent filter over the video. Golden even took down a whole Tedtalk live stream on RUclips because he sang it live in Mumbai at the Tedtalks there.

The people in the crowd actually are the judges. There were no auditions, no snotty judge comments. They were all professionals invited to be on the show, and the audience voted each week who was the winner for that week. The one with the most wins should take the show, but they didn't want to award prize money to a foreigner. They changed their rule the next season. He was still the winner in terms of how it helped his career.

Adagio is a musical term meaning slow tempo and this is a cover of the original song by Lara Fabian, who, after hearing Dimash sing this song, collaborated with Igor Krutoy to compose a song for Dimash, "Your Love" I believe it to be. Igor Krutoy was a retired billionaire composer who came out of retirement just to compose songs for Dimash because of his vocal abilities. Songs such as his version of Ave Maria, Olympico, Love is Like A Dream, Know, and Stranger. I must also point out how great this orchestra is on this show, in my book they are world-class. The copyright to Golden is held by the Swedish songwriters and is super tight unfortunately. Normally even if a song gets blocked it will get unblocked on appeal as he has no problems with people reacting to his videos. He actually made an Instagram post thanking reactors for spreading awareness of his new song The Story of One Sky.
It's normally the video that gets blocked not the audio so it helps to put a transparent filter over the video.
Golden even took down a whole Tedtalk live stream on RUclips because he sang it live in Mumbai at the Tedtalks there.
That performance was an experience!

There were close to 2 weeks before the show would air on Chinese TV.... After the show aired the producers sent security to Dimash's Hotel but he asked Why - no one knows me here?
The Show runners explained his performance Exploded on Social Media gaining over 650 Million views - still incredulous Dimash went about his normal routine but reluctantly agreed to bring the security - he was quickly recognized & swarmed by a massive crowd - there is video of this

I saw Dimash live in NY before Covid in 2019 - it's difficult to explain his unique ability.... seeing a 6'3'' man w/ large hands & feet, long arms & a jaw like an anvil produce effortless pure high notes in full head voice not whistle is crazy enough
but the resonance he produces b/c that jaw when dropped creates enormous space & the insane transitions that you touched upon simply defy Logic but he's doing it right in front of you & all you can think is this just can not be real b/c he almost Never makes a mistake - he's a Pro so I'm sure he does & we just dont notice - but the amount of practice this man must do & Continue to do to maintain this level of skill has to be Daunting & we just dont see it continued when someone reaches this level of fame & wealth b/c it's human nature to take our foot off the gas & enjoy our success a bit

The people in the crowd actually are the judges. There were no auditions, no snotty judge comments. They were all professionals invited to be on the show, and the audience voted each week who was the winner for that week. The one with the most wins should take the show, but they didn't want to award prize money to a foreigner. They changed their rule the next season. He was still the winner in terms of how it helped his career.

Chaque étape -Dimash les à toutes passées avec succès, alors que de nombreux candidats furent éliminés à tour de rôle. Chaque étape devait impérativement avoir un style différent et être chanté en direct sans artifices. Depuis, aussi étonnant que cela puisse paraître, Dimash a beaucoup évolué en technique, en puissance, en gamme, en créativité. Cet homme ne cesse d'étonner le monde; on ne sait jamais à quoi s'attendre et toutes ses créations sont des cadeaux qu'il offre à ses Dears et au monde entier. Dimash gave the "Dears" to his fans because he refers to the term dear as someone close to his heart. Adagio is a musical term meaning slow tempo and this is a cover of the original song by Lara Fabian, who, after hearing Dimash sing this song, collaborated with Igor Krutoy to compose a song for Dimash, "Your Love" I believe it to be. Igor Krutoy was a retired billionaire composer who came out of retirement just to compose songs for Dimash because of his vocal abilities. Songs such as his version of Ave Maria, Olympico, Love is Like A Dream, Know, and Stranger. I must also point out how great this orchestra is on this show, in my book they are world-class.
