Hi, you don't need to purchase any additional software to use Aerodrums in VR. Currently, we support Gear VR, Oculus Go and Oculus Rift. We are working on Oculus Quest/Quest 2 support and hope to make that available soon.

Can the VR be used with an iPhone Xs? or does it have to be an VR Headset Like the Rift, Go, Vibe or Windows MR?

For VR, we only currently support Oculus Rift (on Windows), Oculus Go (completely standalone) and Samsung Gear VR (using a supported Samsung Android phone).

@@normcano5938 Hello, we're about to release Oculus Quest support, but we don't currently have plans to support VR on iPhones, as iPhones are not designed to give a good VR experience.

Yes, you can use without VR. The 3d kit will show on your screen.

We have been planning to release Quest/Quest 2 support for a while now but it has got delayed a couple of times due to other priorities. We will try to get it finished early in the new year.

We have considered doing this a few times but performance is a concern and would require re-working a lot of the 3D visuals to work on lower end devices than we currently support.

It would be great if there was a mode where I can use the Oculus controllers for the sticks and only use the IR camera for tracking the foot pedal.

It would be a nice intro to air drumming, but it would not feel nearly as nice and expressive as using normal drum sticks.
