Hey coach, this is probably irrelevant but I found the sport late, never started until my senior year but overtime I got a lot more athletic by going from a 4.9 40 to a 4.68, and also going from a 4.8 pro agility to a 4.5. Still got some work to do skill wise but I have picked up 9 NAIA offers since june!
I thought I did a good job of explaining it in the video but if you are a guy that tests in the mid range when you go to a combine in the stuff like the 40, vertical jump and shuttle. You are also a player that is not spectacular but will make the occasional play here and there.
@@GridironStuds I’m a sophomore strong safety, 5’9 160 pounds, I run a 5.8 40(I have poor acceleration), and bench 140. I know that’s pretty bad but do you think it’ll be able to get higher by my senior year?
@@masonruacho7572 I would say you have quite a bit of work to do. Currently you are too small to play near the line of scrimmage and you are too slow to play out on the edges. Do some work in the weight room and on the track. You have to get bigger, faster and stronger. Put the work in.
o look coach as a defensive back should you look up for the ball to if you are in man coverage when the receiver heads look up I watched receiver hips but when their head MY HEAD DOES TO

Yes you should be there will be times as you get more experience when you will know not to look in certain instances.
