Your video is very good. It's wonderful to see modern machines working to help people reduce labor and increase product productivity in an amazing way.
Well Zach, always enjoy watching what you do and exlain what you do, love those 2 dogs and cute little cat, say hi to Jim as us Canadians miss him and his great attitude and yest for life, be safe !
As you head into Harvest season "Thank You" to all the Farmers for doing what you do. Great to see 4th gen. and 5th gen. Johnsons working side by side keeping the focus on Family farming. You'll never know how much you'll miss your parents until you do. All the best to Mr. Jim. 🙏
Same here! Born and raised in a small town in MI, but never worked on a farm. It's amazing all the work that goes into it! And the machines these days. . . Just incredible! I can't imagine how it must have been even 50, 60 years ago before GPS, Autosteer, etc.!
As Always, i am so impressed by the knowledge that Zack has but it's the Patriarch of the farm and his quiet leadership that keeps things organized and working smooth. And what a great relationship between dad and Zack. And then there's mom that holds it all together. Got to be the best run organization in Minnesota. Just a little jealous since we only had a horse and a stuborn old mule for the tobacco farm in North Carolina and a worn out 39 Chevy to travel down the dirt roads to the store about once every 2 weeks. No refrigerator. Kept butter in the well.
Seems like the start of bean harvest can be challenging when they aren't quite uniformly dry. I'm sure you'll get things dialed in and ready to make the big push in a couple of days.
We always found that the last field of any crop threshed the easiest. Mainly because that one was ready to harvest. The earlier fields were not really ready, but we were 🤔
Your my fav RUclips I’m 15 been watching you since you started I love farming I don’t have a farm but when I watch your videos I learn a lot I wish I could meet you in person that would be my dream pls respond to this comment if you don’t it’s not a problem love your vids I do learn a lot about farming can’t wait for the next vid
As someone who grew up on a farm, but unfortunately do not have any relation to it anymore, I Can still remember the exitement of getting the combine started the first day of harvest. Thank you for sharing the videos!
In SE Wisconsin, beans haven't started yet, but I did see someone running corn this morning. We have about five days of 80 degree weather coming before the bottom drops out on the 5th of October..........
My dad, grandfather and great grandfather were all North Dakota farmers. A move to Idaho ended the generations of farming. I have watched tons of episodes of MF and have enjoyed them all. I was stopped in traffic a day or so ago, and found myself evaluating the cultivation in a field next to the road. Keep it between the rows!
Thanks for another great video Zach and Dad. Interesting video. Harvest 2023 has started. Yeah!!!!! Your beans are tough and it seems that is the same on other videos as well. That kind of year I guess. You got off to a good start with just a handful of necessary adjustments. No breakdowns. Yeah!!!!!! Missing Jim. Best wishes for a good recovery. About it I guess. Thanks for everything. Take care and be safe. The Iowa Farm Boy. Steve.
Load up the combine at the speed you want to run then shut everything down full. See what it looks like after the header. See what the rotor and sieves are doing. Take a look inside and see how every stage is performing.
Thank you for making these videos it takes me back and makes me remember that I can go back to farming at any time just got to make sure I got the money
Already miss Jim. Hope he has a speedy recovery ❤️🩹.
Me too man me too
So say we all. ❤

@@timwilkinson2797Zac said he had to have surgery. He didn’t elaborate but said Jim would be out the whole harvest.
The horribly long simply safe advertising really sucks.
Wishing Jim a speedy recovery. We miss you Jim!

Awesome.
Woooooooooo, it’s time baby!
Try putting a large wire concave up front instead of a round bar, worked for us.
I bet Welker’s would let you borrow their seed cleaning machine they used for removing a lot of debris and pods. Wishing Jim a speedy recovery

If you are happy with how clean the ground is you can write down the settings down on a piece of paper for the next year
That is just what we do and it helps us out a lot

I recently subscribed to your channel, I love modern farming. I grew up on my grandfather's farm in the medieval days.
Thanks for another great video!!!!! and Thanks for keeping America running 😊
If you did not have cover plates on the first two sections of the concave putting them on might have helped with the pods in the hopper
Here in Australia we are just starting now.

On a 770 we run the bottom sieve at 0. That sends then back thru. No loss on ground. 80/90s might be different
