Good review, love the new Kodiaq, especially the diesel 4x4 with an electric tow ball, for towing! I’m so impressed I’ve ordered one!

Thanks for the great review. I love the first gen Sportline Kodiaq and can’t wait to drive the new one.

Judging by my Sportline just bought earlier this year, I cannot wait to try the new version. One of the nicest cars I've had.

Thanks for the great review. Have they increased tow ball weight capacity up from 100kg?

All those things you are talking about it would be nice to actually see them. For example you said in rear seats there is a screen for third climate zone for passengers but where is it? How does it look like isn’t that’s the whole point of the reviews. I wish Tom B would have done this review

Whats your laptop, mobile screen measured in?
People will have a better idea of the size in inches

Those external shots at the lake are definitely not the German Alps. It’s hard to trust a review when you already use the marketing material from the manufacturer and blend them in your own video trying to create the image that it’s all your video / review.

  • @thenorthwatch777

Why is your camera on the side and then relying on marketing B-Roll to show us the things you are speaking about? I mean we already saw the marketing videos. We watch you guys to go for us where the manufacturers have not. Please focus more on the car then you, give us your voice but more of the car.

For me, this is almost a fake review with all those marketing videos blending in.

I adore the new Kodiaq but I won't buy one mostly because of 1 thing: the PHEV version is 2 wheel drive as all PHEV on VW range... Sad because 4x4 is super easy to do with PHEV and makes such a difference in driving feel. VW really need to make a new PHEV system with AWD. Hopefully next gen...

But what do you buy now instead of the Kodiaq?

Only having the petrol version available for purchase in Australia says it all . I think they are sending what does not really sell as well elsewhere . In Europe or the US and with a turbo Diesel engine maybe ; in Australia with the turbo petrol engine; nope, there are better options for that kind of money .

Why does every new model have to be bigger, bulkier? Is it because the worlds population is obese? Side profile is bland, good point on how the French forget about functionality...

The Australian motoring public are decerning. There is a reason why Skoda's market share is so low. An ample dealer network and good aftersales service is paramount to them.

I'd say it's the brand's repositioning from cheap & cheerful to borderline luxury that's seen them fall by the wayside

If that is true, and I don’t necessarily agree, it’s a shame because most of their cars are considerably better quality and value than their direct competition.

    • @rickb314
      @rickb314 Месяц назад +2

Spare me, the Australian motoring public by and large are sheep that don't know a control arm from a fuel flap and buy whatever everyone else is buying. Given that Skoda is VW, with the same corporate Head Office in Oz, same service departments, same low aftersales customer support expectations (!!) and given that Aussies seem quite happy to buy VWs I'd say it's more of 'badge snob' situation than any reflection on the quality of vehicles offered up by Skoda.
