the interviewer is so skilled and able to connect with jennette! i have watched so many interviews with jennette since the book came out and it's always refreshing seeing someone as empathic and thoughtful in their questions

I'm Glad my Mom Died~ my interpretation of the title is that the title is a way of saying Jeanette knows that if her mom lived, she probably wouldn't have been able to heal the way she's been able to. The enmeshment, codependency, ED and OCD would probably have continued. I'm glad her mom died, too. Her mom is finally at peace and Jeannette is healing beautifully! ❤

Hi Jenn! I have not heard anyone depict my mother the same as you have. I'm astonished that our stories match so closely. You made it OK to admit I was happy when my mother died as well. Thank you for sharing. 💜

OMG She did the twitch/scrunched her nose when the interviewer told her that "she loved Sam" even though jennette said she hates when people make comments like that. A trauma twich

Her book is pretty amazing. I love reading it while listening to her narrated is so sad of which she went through with her mom abusing her becoming an actress. Honestly, I’m glad that Jennette McCurdy did the right thing of retired from acting. She doesn’t need the entertainment industry, even if she knows that there are people who watch her on Sam and cat and iCarly her performance of Sam Puckett will always be my childhood.

Sounded alot like my childhood and my mother.. Unfortunately, I also only realized there was an issue only when I myself became an adult.

Robin tells Jennette about the time Nickelodeon messed over the iCarly and Victorious spinoff which ended up being a disaster.

Brave young woman who doesn't cast herself as a victim. Impressed.

Yeah she is aware and advocates that she is a victim and that it’s not shameful or derogatory but a descriptor. I’m a victim of child sexual abuse and rape. Not a spoiled child playing victim. She is a victim of child sexual abuse and child abuse why is it negative she casts herself truthfully. This is what being a victim looks like. Like why are you mad at victims still reeling from trauma not articulating it to your standard
