In the 19th Episode of 'Esports Mount Rushmore', Snappi, former in-game leader of Heroic and ENCE and now of Team Falcons, discusses the four stars throughout his playing career he thinks were under-rated.

Zywoo is comfortable with entry-fragging, that was his role before and that's how they practiced the game. It's not about whether the role is comfortable, but if the player is comfortable playing that role.
s1mple doesn't sacrifice his teammates comfort for his rating. electronic is comfortable as an entry-fragger and it's a known fact that s1mple and electronic are two of the best players at playing off of each other. Zywoo has been known to take comfortable positions from his teammates when his rating goes down. The start of 2022 is an example of this. Why do you think he never left Vitality? They're one of the only teams willing to restructure this much around a single players rating.

The only reason why people underrate ZywOo is because of who he is outside the server.
He started in a French lineup and dominated with different teammates, he went international and still dominated under 3 different rosters.
Well well well, two of the best IGL's in the scene said ZywOo is the best (karrigan & snappi)... That must hurt for some people lol. Jokes aside, I really like watching snappi talk about CS, so much lucidity in his points!

I think it's obvious that most people who actually played in a real team will appreciate what Zywoo brings to the table outside of raw stats.

@@bidcs_ he was basically the best rifler from starladder Berlin to katowice 2020 and hard carried the guardian line up but all people talked about was how good s1mple was. Electronic had insane performances very Fer-like imo but he's regarded as just a very good rifler and is never on peoples minds for top 10-20 all time even though he was a top3 rifler from mid 2018 all through 2021. I just never see points about him even though lesser players get tons of conversation.

Same ESL run, s1mple went +24 in the quarter finals and lost to G2, by being the ONLY player from that lineup with positive rating in that game... for comparison, these games Snappi is refering to, Zywoo has help from Spinx and Magisk. ZywOo and s1mple in my point of view are like Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo on their prime. Both of them are great and they are above anyone in the game. Even niko or sh1ro can't be compared to s1mple or ZywOo. It's another level.

This is exactly what Snappi said, Zywoo made Vitality win trophies while hard carrying in a less selfish way than S1mple and as Snappi mentioned the FPL win rate prove it for himself, he's not only one of the greatest player but also the perfect teammate, which make him the perfect player.
You're talking about Spinx and Magisk but Zywoo did put numbers before, and he did win top 1 HLTV without any other teammates in the top 20, it has NEVER happen before... And he did TWICE ! Again S1mple always had teammates in the top 20 for his accolades.
And now look at where we are, 2023, when you give the best player in the world the right teammates... 5 big events won Major included while being the MVP of the fives.
Closest to be the GOAT there is no statistic argument that could beg to differ... Even this "S1mple 2018 peak" narrative that people try to bring by nostalgia while statistic wise Zywoo had literally done the same

2019 & 2023 he was clearly the best. 2020 is the only year he can be argued to be tied with s1mple. That is not 1 year bud.
@@AstroSullytotally agreed. I think 2020 and 2022 could be considered as tied. I think ZywOo deserved more in 2020 because won more titles, while in 2022 s1mple had more consistency. ZywOo didn't played on top 1 level at 2022 first semester, but he was great in the second semester. Otherwise, s1mple played on the same level for the whole year. But if we look just for stats, ZywOo and s1mple were almost tied at 2020 and 2022.

Really interesting little insights into Snappi's philosophy on Counter-Strike in this one. Great episode, seriously loving this Mount Rushmore series, makes me think of what my own Mount Rushmore of CS would be!

Another player I would mention for this is NAF. NAF gets his appreciation but in my opinion people don’t realize how great he is. I think NAF will shine with this new Liquid rebuild in 2024

Snappi is a genius . This is one of my favorite videos on your channel and I've watched a lot of them.
I knew it was Magisk as soon as he said there was another one like starix, although my mind also wandered to NAF.
My personal Mount Rushmore is low resourced rifflers that are stars in their own right, so it kind of overlaps with Snappi's idea.
Here in Brazil giving interviews is actually one of the downsides of Fer lol actually not in his younger years, when he was just funny, but lately interviews are definitely hurting his legacy, he can be quite an asshole sometimes.
Even kng commented some time ago, people were asking like “playing with a wild bunch like the twins, fnx and fer should have been madness outside of the server” and he said “not fer, he used to be such a geek, we would call him out for drinks and he would never go, always said “thats not my stuff” and things like that” lol

I think rain is one of the most underrated and appreciated players of all time because hes always just been so instrumental to the wins that faze have had. I mean what sucked for him was that he was always ALWAYS getting outdone by guys like coldzera, Olof, guardian, ropz, twistzzzz, niko, broky, shit sometimes even kioshima back in the day. But hes just been so important to the win and the team as a whole and no one ever seems to talk about him like everyone else just like snappi mentioned with Fer.
Snappi is great, always has his own opinions and values the things that most of the players and fans skip over and just go directly to the stats section when it comes to assessing a players impact in a team.
I think Rain should be in the discussion for underrated/under appreciated stars

Someone should remind Snappi that Zywoo is 5 years still hasn't won at Katowice or Cologne, or beaten a top 18 team in a Major playoffs.
But sure, he's been better than s1mple for 5 years XDDDD
2020 and 2021 s1mple was visibly better than Zywoo when it came to individual performances, and for the better part of 2022 as well. Zywoo literally had to start baiting his teammates to get his rating past 1.11 in 2022. It's crazy how recency bias kicks in when it comes to this conversation and it just seems like Snappi is licking boots so he can slip a spot into Vitality.
