Watching these brings back a shitload of memories from childhood. They should use these again as the ones we've got are shit. Whenever you heard the music and the announcer would say "This is Sky 1" it was if everything you were watching was an event. Like when the Simpsons was actually funny.
Third one is my fav. Reminds me of the time when you got Sky and it felt like your TV choices triped overnight(from 4 to about 12!). It felt like appointment TV and quite different to the usual stuff. And in ten years will we remember any idents from today? think not. They are all vague and boring.
These are very good Sky One idents and if I had to choose a favorite, it would be with the straw in the milkshake. The fourth and sixth indents are good ones too. Brings back some memories when I would watch Sky One at my Uncle's place in Ireland.
I think this is the only reason why these are awesome. They were childhood days, then suddenly we got this box and there was amazing stuff. Positive association. It may have been repeated 3 times a day, but it was magic. Now it's just a gazillion channels... nothing has value.

The ship went into warp speed and flew past the camera as the music ended on "Duh DUH!! Does anyone else remember this? Anyone have it? I can probably find it on one of my ST:TNG videos but wouldn't be able to convert them digitally. Would have to be a camera-on-TV screen job.

My Saturday mornings would be spent watching WWF and D.J Kat, my Saturday nights watching COPS, Sunday nights Rescue 911 with William Shatner, before school in the week was Lamb Chops Play-a-long then when Jeopardy started it was time to leave. Married With Children at 6pm after school. Man what great times. I miss them!

@xxlukeyjxx Totally agree. I basically only watched Sky One back then. Today I actually prefer channels like TV3 in Denmark and Kanal 5 (also Denmark). They still have that program line-up where you really don't touch that dial all night long, not even during the commercial breaks.

With how many indents they have had over 14 years, you have to ask yourself, how is it that isn't happy with them all and keeps on changing their mind in what they want.
Back in the day when television/cable was an EXPERIENCE, and Sky didn't behave like the tyrannical bastards in the BBC, sending the bailiffs round your place for bills you already paid, for money you didn't owe them, but that didn't stop them threatening you anyway.
I prefer the futuristic idents they did back in the 90s compared to the woman sitting in a cafe, or a rollercoaster, etc. To me they come across as bland, and average.

Before 1:00 there was one which had more or less the same visuals as 1:00 and the same tune but it wasn't jazz; it was more instrumental / symbols.
You missed out the idents with the jack-in-a-box, the millennium dome, the carnival and the beach-they were all before 2004

Sky 1 is not the same channel in terms of quality it used to be years ago perhaps thats due to the excessive amount of digital tv channels.
The music on the sixth ident here is a pretty rare mix, I don't think it was used that often.
What I don't get is why they entirely differentiated the sky one channel logo from the actual sky logo as seen here 1:32
