@@BakingMemoriesLLC Do you take questions? Beginner here. I just bought my first seeds and they are on their way in the mail. I think I have a pretty good general idea of what I'm doing, but would love to be able to email someone for advice if needed.

In the picture with the S curve with the x as the stump. Theres a lot of empty space to the right of the X. Do you need that empty space for roots? Im trying to figure out the shape of pumpkin patch i need to make. Im in texas with terrible soil so I will be making a raised bed. Im going to build a 15 x 20 or so rectangle. How far should i plant the pumpkin left of the far right border? Hope that makes sense.

Great Video! Thanks for putting it out. I'm a first time grower and have a beachball size pumpkin that is doing great but is only 4 feet from the stump and a football sized pumpkin better positioned and with a much thicker vine. Need to decide which to keep. Is it better to have two or 3 weeks more growth or a better location and stronger vine? Just looking for a little advice. Thank you

For powdery mildew prevention feed your plants Amino Acid, Calcium and Silica..the amino acid takes up the calcium and silica 1000x faster filling the cells with pectin so if mold try to puncture a cell it crystallizes around it. Milk also helps alot (my plants survived 3 weeks of temps dipping to 27F and 2 snow storms..the videos are on my youtube)

what type of amino acids like amino acids meant for body building for human consumption

    • @fihimsadiq8779

@@cheesecakerda904 I know this is 4 months late but plant fertilizer company make amino acid like raw npk amino acid just search a local hydroponics store. Also you might need a pH down because silica and calcium can make the soil too alkaline and can lock up other nutrients like phosphorus and iron.

Systemic insecticide is not good if you will be eating the pumpkin.

    • @BakingMemoriesLLC

If applied at the correct time and intervals recommended they are the same insecticides used by commercial squash and pumpkin growers that you buy at the store.

Instead of using synthetic pesticides use neem oil or clove tree oil this way you anent eating a plant with poison in the cells.

Thanks for that advice, I would recommend anyone who truly want to grow a giant pumpkin not to rely fully on organic pesticides if they want to achieve their true potential.
