It would be such a blessing if Shane & Shane could bring a worship event to the Albany, NY area. I was reading Isaiah 12 this morning and this song just seems to align with it.
Isaiah 11 tells of the shoot that will come forth from the stump of Jesse, how it will be a King filled with the Spirit of the Lord: the moral ideal in human faithfulness. Then Isaiah goes on to prophecy much further into the future, to the second coming of Christ. We'll live in unity and peace. With the root of Jesse as a glorious resting place. Isaiah 12 starts with "You will say in that day:" followed by a song of praise and thankfulness like this one. How wonderful to sing this song with fellow believers, looking forward to the day when He will assemble the banished and dispersed body of believers to go home!
