Beautiful! As a cake decorator for over 45 years, I am so glad to see this type of decorating making a comeback! I am so tired of those who cover a cake with frosting mounds, candy, cookies, and drips, and call it cake "decorating."
@ofunne I truly mean no offense, nor am I trying to minimize that style of decorating. But it does take a lot more skill, talent, and time to actually make your own decorations, such as piping flowers of all kinds (not rosettes), and to pipe leaves and borders of different types than it does to pile candy and cookies on a drip cake.
I really like the hand-frosted designs. They are a lot more classy than more modern designs. Candy and drips have to be done really specifically to emit the same feel, so I completely understand what you're saying.

It may not be your style but it’s still decorating, and it’s still difficult.
