fuck, this is awesome billy! I watched the whole video...I still hope they come to south america soon, who knows...may lord Satan hear me and send his children
Great footage!!, unfortunately I couldn't make it to this show, life responsibilities got in the way (fucking work), but this is everything I'd expect an Electric Wizard show to be, you captured it well. FUCK!, I wish I could've made it!!
You start listening and you just can't really hear the vocals....so you turn up the volume some...and you still can't quite hear the vocals...so you turn it up more. Before you know it, the volume is maxed...and you still can't quite hear the vocals....but goddamn does it sound good.
The problem he and Liz have is that they are tuning down to Bb standard on 24.75-inch scale guitars. Their guitars do not intonate well enough to stay in tune, thus when they use tuners, they are flat. They should use either baritone 6 strings or just use 7 strings with 25.5 scale length.
@@DoomedStoned Ofc, I will ask good friend of Jus... absolutely forgot about him! btw. i love this vid because of great quality so I can clearly see their technique!
+sweFunereality Let's see. First N. American tour since 2002 might be a good reason. Also, first visit to Portland, Oregon. Kind of a big deal for us. Cheers.
+Doomed & Stoned ah, then I get it. I was just curious because I thought there might happened something special at the gig, or possibly before or after. I'd kill to see them live.
I love this band, the tune, his albums, lyrics, ambience, armony on the songs, i love all albums (not the last album), albums like Witchcult Today, Dopethrone, black masses are pure black magic. But the live isn't like the athmosphere of their albums, you are right.
I caught them in Austin and I'd have to disagree. The vocals were pretty terrible, but that was to be expected. I thought they had a solid atmosphere going and I enjoyed there set. They are very far from the best show I've ever seen (Neurosis takes first place with Earthless coming in second) but I've seen worse headliners. They do sound better in the studio, though. I've only seen them once, but they might be similar to Mastodon in that some of their shows are great where as others are awful.

WHAT A FUCKING SETLIST
Man Electric Wizard are one of the few bands I still NEED to see one day. If they come back to the South I will
Saw them in The States a couple years back, best show I've ever been to.
It’s not the recording, some of you don’t understand fuzz
got that angle by the Elf lady and her SG of Devilry Honor
well 2 SG Guitars
only a Rikenbacker Bass was missing sadly
33:59 this riff
One of the best bands EVER.
facts dude

brcrs Right on! I'll forward your message to the Great Red One the next time we have a conference call.
Tell hime to summon them to Norh Carolina and tell him to get my band a gig with them :)
Return Trip is amazing!
Epic. Many Thanks for Sharing!
What a great rendition of "Black Mass"

Hell yeah, I was there!
same
Return Trip was the highlight.
Must have been super stoned!! Horrible zoom activity
Props to the sound engineer, may just be their best live performance(found online)
check out recordings from hellfest 2014, roadburn 2005, and their live on radio 1
Tried desperately to score a ticket to this show. No love. This will have to do. :)
This show is fucking legendary
I've seen a number of live videos of EW, why does Jus insist on burying his vocals so far back in the mix when they're live?
dusty48 so it has that hazy caught in the smoke feel. The vocals as an instrument rather than sitting on top of the mix
You start listening and you just can't really hear the vocals....so you turn up the volume some...and you still can't quite hear the vocals...so you turn it up more. Before you know it, the volume is maxed...and you still can't quite hear the vocals....but goddamn does it sound good.
need to turn up the vocals a tad bit
Sound guys sometimes are just insane.
What SG is Jus playing? looks like a Iommi but the crosses are upside-down?
Epiphone SG 400 MK, but in the more recent era he has a Gibson SG standard
DAMN! Wish I got tickets before they sold out! Every last one was sold within approx. 3-5 days of being posted on Mike Thrasher!
incredible
Epic...epitome of heaviness!
Electric Wizard !!! Liz Buckingham I love you !
I was gonna say just is the o.g, than i was gonna add 'as well' to not offend anyone, but, everyone on this band does' hes Jon perfectly.
Riff heaven !
so sad I missed this :( DAMMMMMIT!!
Jus was having tuning issues with his SG Deluxe in Minneapolis, I wonder if thats why he is playing the Iommi now.
Yep but I have to admit that an SG in b sounds killer... ( I tried with mine ) and perfect for stoner doom music !!!
Isaiah Johnson Nah, Tony Iommi solved all that years ago with John Birch.
Ya gotta move the bridge an inch or so foward , to accommodate that low B tuning on the SG like Iommi and John Birch did in 1971.
That's not a Iommi.
The heaviest band on earth, and it ain't close
Awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!
what a fuckin' doom bestrewn finale... marvelous !!!
You got my subscription, Mister ))) Awesome job filming all them grand doomersssss ))))))))
Cheers frm Germoney )))
Two people are going straight to heaven.
@Ivan Catanzaro r/whooosh

helllll yeah. Welcome!
Thanks man!! Nice work!
the two first riffs are the most doomed in history
Facts
10:34 Do you know guys if this guitar in the background belongs to Jus? Does he use second guitar, if its neccessary?
Great question! I'm not sure, tbh. Maybe someone else can chime in?

Not trying to be a smartass or anything but why is it a historic visit?

Doomed & stoned. Still had to be a fucking kook ass bitch when replying I see. Fuck Oregon anyhow. Total shithole. 🖕🏾
Justin looks kinda.. Old. Eh.
Sadly a terrible recording, it is a tragedy how few good ones there are.
what you're hearing is what we heard on the floor, buddy.
Historically overrated?
Not by a long shot.
I saw Ellectric Wizard a couple of times, and i have to say EW is one of the worst live bands ever.

@@yonomellamojavier3002 " armony on the songs,"
get the fuck out!!
@@yonomellamojavier3002 It isn't supposed to be just like the album , It's to add a different perspective on the doomy atmosphere
Sick footage of a sick show
