A few years ago, my mother hired a contractor to install a privacy fence around her new house. Two guys were working in the back when I arrived from work and stopped by her place, as usual. We lived close by. When I went to see how the work was coming along, I was completely floored by the sight of one of the men. He was the doppelgänger of Tom Selleck! Everything about him: the eyes, mustache, and even the smile. We talked and he told me that he gets mistaken for the actor everywhere he goes. He even went to a Las Vegas show with his wife and he was suddenly the center of attention and was invited to go on the stage for everyone to see. He was a really nice guy and didn’t let his ego get the best of him, but he did like to have fun and fool people, just for laughs. Lucky wife.
Oh, this reminds me...in the mid-80s, I went to see a new OB/GYN after a move to a different city. To my delight, she had life-size posters of Tom Selleck on the CEILINGS of her exam rooms, right over the exam tables! She laughed when I commented on it, saying that she thought it would be nice to give her patients a fun distraction. It would've been even better if Mr. Selleck could be in the delivery room with me, though! Or his impersonator, for that matter...🤰❤ 😄
Wow...the Rihanna double looks even better than the genuine article, though NOT the case with George Clooney!...But that Jason Statham lookalike is an absolute dead ringer!...Cool stuff! 😊 👏👌👍

A few yes, but most were deliberately dressed up as the celebrity and or their face was covered in dark glasses. You need a lot more photos of the lookalikes to prove it and natural photos too - - not dressed up etc
The impersonators will try to make the best out of their celebrity's images and are happy to be recognized than the originals whose images are likely to cover up. What if someone looks like the person people most dislike? Adolf Hitler, etc.
