    DaVinci Resolve is a video editing software developed by Blackmagic Design. Its most recent version is DaVinci Resolve which works on personal computers with Windows, Mac OS X and Linux operating systems.
    It combines professional tools to edit, color, compose visual effects, create graphic animations and mix audio in one program. Professional-quality audio editing, color grading, visual effects, and post-production.
    Its modern interface is extremely easy to use, ideal for beginners, but also very complete for professionals. In addition, the program allows you to carry out faster and higher quality work dynamics, thanks to the fact that it is not necessary to learn to use multiple applications or change software.

    This video works during the day, only slight reduction in the Spatial NR threshold settings

  • @denaco
    @denaco Год назад +9

    i've always done spatial mode in enhanced but your numbers are also what i found to be best before buildings look like plastic toys. i bought neat video plug in as i much prefer it. both do the job but neat is much easier to fine tune. just cant use it on slowed down clips with optical flow as there's a bug that causes stuttering, so i use davinci noise reduction then. night time/dusk videos require lot's of extra work but look the best i reckon.

    • @SergiomotaENG

      Hello Denaco! If you have problems when using Neat Video together with optical flow, you can export the video with optical flow and then use Neat Video
      (I usually export videos that use optical flow since they consume a lot of pc resources)

It's very strange that you're not seeing that menu. The only thing I can think of is that it might split the menus into two, as shown in this video: ruclips.net/video/l5mVdniO3SY/видео.html&ab_channel=SergioMota%7CAcademy but the "Blur" panel icon is the same.

    Hey nice tutorial, does anyone know why the footage slows down as i add the effect? And how can i get it back to regular speed?

    • @VerizonSniper
      @VerizonSniper 4 месяца назад

      I don’t know if you still need an answer, but this happens to me a lot. Just go to the top of your screen where you see file, edit, trim, those things, and open Playback. Once that’s open, you should see Timeline Proxy Resolution and that basically cuts down on the bulk usage of the video. Kind of the same as lowering the quality of a video so that it plays better and doesn’t buffer.
      As you add more files/effects to your project, if it’s still on the highest setting (which is Full), then it will start to slow down.
      I hope this helped, have a great day!

    Hi FAM!
    I'm just curious, as I've seen a lot of the professional color graders add the NR in the end, however a lot of people also add it in the beginning of the node tree. The purpose of adding it in the end is that you'll keep all the camera-information and pixels throughout your whole grade, and the NR in the end will clean up the whole result instead of disturbing your pixels BEFORE you apply any adjustments to the image.
    Does it make sense to you, or where do you stand ?

    • @SergiomotaENG
      @SergiomotaENG  Год назад +1

      Hi Sondre! The truth is that I cannot assure you what is best, some say that at the beginning, others in the middle after the color grade and others at the end of everything. Which is the correct one? Well, no idea haha, it's something very technical, I do it as I learned it, in my personal opinion I don't think it's something that affects too much and that can be seen with the naked eye.
      Personally I recommend that you apply the NR with the lowest possible intensity, it is not necessary to eliminate the noise 100%.
      When applying light NR, I think there will not be much difference when applying it in a node at the beginning or at the end.

    • @beecat4183
      @beecat4183 Год назад +13

      Always at the beginning, otherwise you are color grading noise. This is the industry standard.

  • @martinlatal_
    @martinlatal_ 6 месяцев назад

    If you have a lot of movement in a shot, you certainly won't get better results by analyzing maximum amount of frames in the Temporal NR - you'll end up with artifacts and/or loss of quality

    • @SergiomotaENG
      @SergiomotaENG  Год назад +4

      Yes, I know Neat Video, I used it before in Premiere but Davinci Resolve's denoiser is very good, I don't think it's necessary to spend $160 for a better noise reduction.
      (If you want to dedicate yourself professionally to color grading, it may be worth investing)

    But here I had to click, because I been always confused, what I'm actually doing with noise in DaVinci. The video been simple and straigt forward, which is the KEY on RUclips to engadge people. Maybe make sure the clip you are applying it to is selected, make sure the node you're applying it to is turned on and make sure the overall effects you have applied to your project is not turned off (little icon at the top that looks like a 3/4 rainbow circle with 3 yellow stars - should not have a slash through it).

      @@Marcoosianism sonehow it didn’t work on a adjustment layer

    • @Marcoosianism
      @Marcoosianism 3 месяца назад

      @@how2dodis Interesting. I'm not a pro by any means but whenever I don't see an effect being applied to my clip it's because I forgot to do one of the above-mentioned things. Another time was when I had a very small clip above the main clip as an overlay and I had that selected by mistake, instead of the main clip. Also make sure you're adjusting the luma and chroma - bring them all the way up and wait several seconds to see if the effect kicks in. Not sure what other suggestions to make.
