DIY: RAINBOW MACRAME WALLHANGING | EASY MACRAME RAINBOW TUTORIAL | (step by step)

IN THIS TUTORIAL I SHARE ALL OF MY SECRETS, TIPS AND TRICKS, ON HOW TO:
- GET THE PERFECT FULFFY FRINGE
- ESTIMATE CORD LENGTHS FOR THIS TECHNIQUE SO YOU CAN MAKE ANY SIZE YOU WANT
- CLEAN UP AND SECURE THE BACK/KNOTS (a must if you plan on selling or shipping these)
- PLACING THE HANGING CORD SO IT HANGSS NICELY ON THE WALL
- HOW TO KNOT IN THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION TO ADD ANOTHER ROW WITHOUT RE-TYING
- USING 2 CORDS FOR A CHUNKY LARKS HEAD KNOT
- STOPPING CORD FROM UNWINDING
....AND MUCH MORE!
I am so excited to share this Rainbow Striped macrame wallhanging with you guys! There are so many different ways you can make this wallhanging once you get the basics down packed. Instead of a rainbow, you can make an ombre, colour blocks of your choice to match a certain decor, long fringe, short fringe, coloured fringe, wider, thinner, etc, etc, etc. I share all of the info you need to be able to make this beauty right in the video, so make sure you watch to the end so you don't miss a thing!
HERE IS WHAT I USED:
- 5mm 3 ply rope from Ganxxet (see below for discount code)
- 8inch/20.3cm wooden dowel (1inch thick)
- For the body (white cordite with Larks Head knot) 12 x 3feet/91cm
- For the coloured stripes 4 x 5.5feet/168cm
- 1 white cord for the final stripe 40 inches/102cm
- Jute twine for hanging 3 feet/91cm
- Glue gun
- Masking tape (optional but I do recommend tapping ends of cord)
- Pet brush

Thank you for this easy to follow tutorial, I made one this morning and I love it. I need to get more colors, this will make lovely holiday gifts. May I ask where you purchase the 8-inch thick dowels? Did you say you stain theme? I love the darker color.

Thanks so much hope!! That’s a great question and I should have mentioned it in the video because it’s a great trick I use alll the time, I simply tie on hair elastics on each end after the “S” hooks and that way it can’t slip off!:)

Unfortunately I don’t have that information! Most of these colours I have had for years! But I do know for sure the dark blue is Rolyal Blue from Ganxxet! So sorry :/
