It's good to see him loosen up(the smile that cracked after the shootout goal). You get the impression that under Boudreau, he's being trusted to figure things out instead of being thrown into the line blender to stew in the bottom 6... I get why Green would want his guys to understand accountability, but for a guy like Petterson, it seemed to kill his confidence more than it did anything to catalyze his game... It makes more sense doing that if they were just not engaged, but when a player is in a funk and just can't seem to get good bounces, that's probably not the way to work them out of that funk(unless the funk is induced by a lack of effort)
2 games ago Petterson looked half asleep on a penalty shot, last game he lost control in a shootout...tonight he wins the game in a shootout. Glad he's feeling better, only why did he have to do it against my Jets? I'll take the point though, GG 'Nucks.

Offensively they're still a legit 2 line threat without Wheeler but yeah, he just got his first goal too. I hope they can stay within their system to fix it and not have to make any trades just yet, no panic.

Bruce is hell of a coach but can y’all agree, the starting line pairing in overtime was SKETCHY he started… Horvat Pearson And Myers. I would’ve started maybe miller hughes with Garland/boeser. And did Garland get benched ? He didn’t play overtime/shootout at all

Now they gotta get into the playoffs...maybe we'll get a repeat of the early 90s Playoff Turtle Derby between the Jets and Canucks, a nailbiter, literally right down to the final game of the regular season between them. Canucks won.

Last year he was a backup earning half of what his contract is now, he earned his raise, starting position & last year's team MVP and he'll probably get it again this year if he keeps winning games/shootouts like the last 2, he stole those points singlehanded, one on one.
