The Vietcong (Southern Vietnamese) mostly used weapons captured from the US Forces and their puppet government like M1 Carbine, M1 Garand, BAR M1918, AR-15, M14...
@@HoangTinDon the AR-15 is a civilian weapon, not military, also the weapon you mean (the M-16/M-16A1) was introduced rather late into the war, so ofc the VC used M-16's, but in very limited numbers

The fact is not one North Vietnamese boot stepped into South Vietnam until the US left under the Paris Peace Accords. Do you remember the Paris Peace Accords? That was after the United States bombed the North into submission and forced the North to the negotiating table, otherwise the north was going to be completely annihilated if it didn't come back to the table and agree to the peace treaty, and they knew it. Fact is North Vietnam was 2 weeks away from an unconditional surrender (and they knew that also) so they signed the treaty. Just because the north didn't obeid and honor the Peace Accords broke the agreement and rolled in three years after the US combat forces were pulled out, don't distort the truth. You didn't defeat the United States North Vietnam defeated the Republic of South Vietnam. Yes I have been to Vietnam on several occasions and know the truth not the propaganda. Infact I probably know more about your own country than you.
