    Bikeworx pegs! That was my little brand for a couple years. We made the Groovy (front pegs) and Chubby (rear). We made them at a time when all other pegs had a step down near the axle and they shredded shoes. Ours were 2" diameter from end to end with a smooth rounded end for the early years of flatland pivoting tricks. They were made way too thick because most flatland riders dabbled in street or skatepark, so durability was key but came with a weight penalty. Based out of Akron, Ohio and made in the same city. At one point, we co-sponsored Chase, Chad DeGroot, Dave Shaeffer, and Chris Young and were featured in BMX Plus, Ride BMX, and Props. Stoked to see you have a set and are enjoying their rareness!!

    I'm still riding an old macniel ruben frame, '02 model, but I've got a set of old fishbone ally pegs with the blue rollers on them and a billet gyro too. And some old pedals, tenderizers, demolition and JC oddessey ones

    I love Mid School BMX. Living at the other side of the world, those items you are presenting are mind blowing. Here finding a simple Mid School BMX in its original condition is already a challenge. It would be interesting that you could present more your personal bike collection in future videos. Great content and knowledge, thanks.

      Thanks, I'll try to make more videos. Where I grew up we only had one bike shop that sold GTs. So for the first couple of years it was definitely a struggle to get my hands on good parts. So I know the feeling 😉

    WOW!! dude your collection is amazing! when I was 14 years old in 1994 I raced aba bmx for a local bike shop in Jax beach Florida. the owner of the bike shop gave me his personal Hutch star to race. I think it was from 1977 it had been up graded with answer 1" threadless fork and spin carbon fiber wheels with tons of other goodies like aa pro tires and a 190mm crupie 3 piece crank withe hollow titanium spindle. the entire bike weighed only 7.3 lbs and it was a chro-molly frame. I was so embarrassed to ride it at the races back then because it was an old bmx but now I would be super stoked to have any bmx at all. I am trying to save up enough to buy a cheap one from Walmart just so I can do some flatland riding. your videos make me remember long long ago when the best days of my life where happening and I didn't even know it. 🤘😎 thank you for sharing your videos and your knowledge dude!

    I love how Jay Miron has long since retired from BMX but his name is still being brought up 🎉 that punisher frame would of sold like hot cakes! But im pretty sure he took that frame design to Schwinn and it became the complete hydramatic bike.

    • @midschoolbmx
      @midschoolbmx  2 месяца назад +2

      I'm sure Jay's name will always be brought up. He's one of the greatest of all time. Yes there are similarities between the Punisher and the Hydramatic and Torqueflite. Because Jay's name was on the Hydramatic but he rode the Torqueflite. Maybe I'll make a video about that some time.

      @@midschoolbmx 100% you gotta now it'll be much appreciated from Canadians like myself 🇨🇦 and the BMX scene here, just gotta throw this out there thanks for keeping the mid school era of BMX alive definitely not an easy task 💪👍 just something about that era of BMX can not be replicated. Today's riding is for sure impressive but I feel a lot of riders are just carbon copies of each other and a lot of flavor of the months. During the mid school era and before it , riders really had to stand out and be different an honorable mention is Dave Osato guy was a friggin animal on that bike and just had a unique bag of tricks! But I'm also noticing some new riders are taking influence from riders like Jay Miron it's cool to see.
