The Animations - Look closer at how he moves, his fist gets slightly bigger when he jumps and his cap has physics which makes me think it can be knocked off when hurt like on the desert level in 64. 4. His Moveset - Triple Jump and Long Jump are shown in the footage but what if there were more moves that haven't been shown yet (Punching, Diving, -and Spinning like the way in Sunshine.-) 5. How the NPCs and Enemies act - The NPCs don't turn their heads or look at Mario like how the Toads do in Sunshine or the characters in Galaxy. The Blue Shell Gamer23 I can't wait for the hateful comments about this game when it comes out and people realize that there is still no actual online mode, lol.
There was no modes with Internet for Sunshine or Galaxy, so I don't see why people would complain about something the previous games didn't have. (Not counting 3D World or 3D Land.)
The next direct will be awesome. SWITCH, 3D Mario, Mario Kart 8.1, Splatoon Switch, 3rd Party games, the new Retro Studios Project (DKCTF announcement was over 3 years ago), and even more.
Actually, given the facts that Mario's hat follows real physics and that there is a hat store in this Mexico city, it's not far-fetched to think that hats might play a role in this game...
10:06 Folks are talking about possessing bullet bills to go through the rings. I'm focused more on the fact that you don't bounce on the power lines, but travel in them by turning into electricity. That electric box isn't a warning, but a welcome mat. =P
Maybe the cap has its own life and its name is Cappy and Cappy's sister was kidnapped by Bowser who tries to marry Peach, and Mario can swap out hands and .... MARIO ODYSSEY HYPE!!!!
Ibrahim Farooq well, 3d world released in 2013... if the new mario releases in 2018, for example, it's still a pretty standard gap between titles for the franchise.
Jonut WOW, that's the funniest thing I've ever HEARD! And I bet mentioning your age REALLY makes people look up to you and makes you feel smart. "My, what a smart child for expressing his opinion in a space where nobody cares." WWWOOOOOOOOW
You mean like Mario Kart, Mario Party, Mario and Luigi, Paper Mario, Dr. Mario, Mario golf, Mario tennis, Super Mario Strikers and all the other Mario sports spin-offs? This doesn't even include the games focusing on the Mario universe that don't feature Mario as the main protagonist, like Super Princess Peach, Luigi's Mansion, Wario-Ware, Yoshi's Island, etc.. I mean, what other game franchise ever has dabbled outside of its original genre more than Mario? If you are demanding that they be original games, but still retain platformer status, then what exactly are you looking for in order for a Mario platformer to be 'an original Mario game' instead of a sequel?
Chestosneako Inc What the hell are you talking about? Nintendo as a gaming company puts out more new franchises than virtually every other gaming company, and has the most successful franchises to boot. Pikmin and Animal Crossing on the GC. Wii series and Xenoblade on the Wii, Splatoon just recently for the Wii U. Look at all the franchises they own: nintendo.wikia.com/wiki/Nintendo_franchises Now tell me that the only thing they ever do is put out reboots and sequels, and then explain to me how EVERY SINGLE OTHER GAMING COMPANY DOESN'T DO THAT EXACT THING. Seriously, how many assassin's creeds, CoDs, GTAs, etc. do we have now?
one thing that i noticed and im actually really excited about is that Mario's jumps seem to have a lot of weight to them. In 3d world and the galaxy games the jumps are a lot slower which slows down the game play and arguably makes the game easier. This new mario seems more like 64 and sunshine when looking at the jumping mechanics, which could have pretty big implications when thinking about the platforming of this game. btw. i really hope the dive move from 64 and sunshine returns in this game
This Username was changed for the better no, Mario put his hands to his side's for that one, in an L position with fists. Not arms out like an airplane.
What if this game combines the free-roaming aspect of Mario 64 and Sunshine with the linear levels based on Galaxy, 3D Land, and 3D World? By that, I mean you have a large overworld where you can travel to certain areas (like the temple in the distance) and when you reach those areas, they seamlessly transition to platforming challenges (aka, traditional Mario stages) with an end goal? An interesting prospect, especially if this manages to have no loading or transitional screens. Of course, I feel to make an interesting overworld in a Mario game you'd need to have various platforming elements as you travel, with maybe alternate pathways. Either way I'm interested to see what exactly this game will have. The whole thing with the ice is rather interesting.
Gerbil Crab Actually, yeah that's pretty much what I'm thinking. Just without the load times. I think it'd be a cool direction to take 3D Mario. Because then the Mario 64/Sunshine fans get what they want while also appeasing the people who prefer linear Mario.
Could this be an open-world Mario? The reference to the possible bus-stop got me thinking... After all, they're going properly open-world with Zelda, and if Mario were to be open-world then getting around by bus or something is exactly how I imagine Nintendo implementing travel. It's the oddball Nintendo alternative to getting into a tricked-out Comet in GTA. And, although the clip is only six seconds long and only shows two sections, there is a geographical similarity between both locations.
Posted halfway thru video...I guess he kind of addressed the whole open-world thing. But I'm thinking proper, big open-world Mario, not just Sunshine-style.
I dunno if the entire game would be open world. I mean, think about it, a bus is a really weird way to travel from place to place. That's probably just for this level. I was thinking every level has a huge area/hub where you can goof off or do the actual level.
It IS a weird way to travel in a normal open world game, but this is Nintendo, and this is Mario. In that context it seems exactly like the goofy, weird kind of method of transport they'd put in.
"each general world (the Desert World, the Water World, etc) might have a sprawling hub that serves as a 64-style level, and then smaller areas that segue into more linear Galaxy/3D World levels." That'd be good, although it'd be quite structurally similar to Galaxy. Personally, I like the idea of Mario having to get in some rickety, South American style bus, to travel between high-altitude villages connected by mountain roads. I don't know why that daydream came to me, and I know it's not gonna happen; still, the idea of Nintendo sticking Mario in their attempt at a smaller, denser, Mario-style San Andreas - not realistic, just cohesive in the way that open worlds like San Andreas are - is pretty exciting.
Has everybody noticed how expressive Mario seems to be!?! He has Disney-esque movements, and it looks wonderful. I love how his hat bounces up and down as he runs.
I thought the same about the ice. I think this is kinda bringing back the mechanics of Sunshine. Another thing to point out....What if there's no HUB? I mean, what if you need to walk from a level to another while making side quest before entering temples....kind of like Zelda.
Came back two weeks before the game's launch to see how much the analysis machine actually got right. You guys were surprisingly close at some points, and completely dead-on at others. Color me impressed.
Diane Tayler Lol what? In Super Mario 64, Mario could kick and punch, which is the only thing missing from this new Mario game to make me confirm that this is basically a Mario 64 sequel.
You missed something. At about 10:48, when the girl picks up the screen, you can see some sort of brown pillar emerging on the right. Most likely it has to do with the ruckus that seemed to be taking place earlier in the clip, when something appeared to be 'emerging' from underground.
Excellent analysis. Very detailed and intriguing! Well-done!! I've never seen someone take a few seconds of video and make it so fascinating for over 11 minutes! Can't WAIT for this game!!!!
I think the story is that the town got covered by ice, and you're supposed to melt the ice to beat the game 100%. like in Super Mario Sunshine, where you had to clean up the goop. but, I also think there is something to grab at the end of each level, like a star. this doesn't look like the kind of game to have flagpoles. the thing that made me think that, was the fact that there was what looked like ice in a desert-like scene. sounds like Nintendo logic to me. (shouts out to chuggaaconroy) what I mean by that, is it is highly unlikely to impossible for there to be ice in a desert, (well, a desert that isn't the cold kind of desert, like in Alaska), but it seems perfectly logical in a Nintendo, more specifically a Mario game. the bad guy comes to the nice and peaceful place, and does something catastrophic, and is severely harmful to said peaceful place's environment. like the goop in Super Mario Sunshine. and at the end of this game, you fight the culprit. (then you're rewarded with a stupid postcard that says have a nice vacation lol.) I'm not being serious about the postcard at the end of this game, but there is one at the end of Super Mario Sunshine. but who knows! there might be!!!!!! when it comes to Mario games, I take it seriously. I don't just do glitches, you know!
How cool would a new Mario game be if they let you use any Amiibo to play as that character! I might actually buy some Amiibo if Nintendo came out with a game like that. Each character could have their own unique controls and abilities in the game world. Bowser could breath fire. Yoshi could eat enemies and shoot eggs. Link could use his sword and items. A game like that would destroy Lego Dimensions and Skylanders.
There are two details I am loving about this game. 1: the way Mario holds his arms out as he runs, and 2: as he jumps etc, his hat comes off a little bit. I love these details because they remind me of Super Mario World, one of my favorite Mario games.
They still pointed out things I wouldn't have gotten without this video. So while 11 minutes seems ridiculous, it's not really if you think about it and watch the video.
***** Yeah. I didn't say that comment as anything bad, in fact, I kinda meant that in a good way. They look at every little detail to get the most info possible, and it's awesome.
Grupo Karate Bugman Mario at it's core is a game about jumping on platforms and reaching a goal at the end of a level, whether it's actually a goal post, a star, or a defeating a boss. An open world gives no sense of direction for a platformer.
Ah Dimentio, i am actually a big fan of the big N. i even rebought both Galaxy on my wii u.i have been a Mario fan since the 80's big time. i just wanted to have NIntendo put out a new flavor of Mario, just because they are so good at developing such unique characters, rich and colorful worlds.
+Scofie Why don't just a new mario tipe game? Like a Super Mario Ice and Whatever, or Luigi is missing (plot twist), or, i don't know, just another super mario.

"Frozen ice" What a redundant idiot
GameXplain The spinning heart is from super mario 64. It would refill your health.
GameXplain did you seriously just diss yourself
And the "plane" motion was a reference to SMB3
+thegamester 10 He said that
TheWildYoshi I know he referenced it but it is much more related to SM64 then he gave it credit for.
5 Seconds of footage = 11 minute analysis. The memes make themselves!!!
They're wizards I swear!
Sadly this is ALL we will get for the next 3 months. Nintendo will not make any additional announcements or show anything else until 2017/
+ricarleite at least this channel will make 3 months worth of footage
yea and also at e3
I get what you're saying, but it goes to show that these guys are INSANELY good at making analysis.
Only GameXplain could make a video over 10 minutes about 6 seconds of gameplay
And I love them for that!
So cool coming back to watch this after all the Odyssey reveals. Who would have thought that Mario would be "capturing" that bullet bill to go through the rings.
3:08
"Of course, we can see some *cactuses* here."
Dude.
It's Cacti.
lolol
When We Heard Of Cacti?
Who the fuck even cares? We still get the point, plus tbh 'cacti' sounds fucking annoying.

an 11 minute analysis for 10 seconds of footage
hah thats gamexplain for you
*5 seconds my friend...
it would be funny if this was just placeholder footage that has nothing to do with an upcoming game
brianna w Lucky you, that's a short analysis. Try being an English major in grad school when you're done you'll be able to squeeze blood out of stones.
It seems way too detailed for it to be a tech demo. Remember the zelda wii u tech demo?
Unique Unit i would be pissed if this was just a tech demo lol
"like mario 64 or Mario Galaxy"
Andre can't stand to admit Sunshine is more fitting for this comparison, cause frankly, Galaxy its levels where also VERY linear for the most part.
+H enryuuki Ha I felt I was more than fair with the amount of Sunshine references...for once :)
H enryuuki This game looks nothing like Galaxy. Not saying that's a bad thing, but it just doesn't look like it.
*****
Yeah, I was only talking about that one sentence, mostly cause in my head I already felt the "Super mario 64 and Sunshine" coming, and then suddenly it was galaxy.
Which I really did love, but I really hated how many of its levels where linear paths across planetoids only to go to the next linear planetoid.
Agreed. Super Mario Galaxy was always pretty much a straight line to an objective.
A straight line with more focused level design, so that evens out...
Who else is watching after odyssey's launch Lol XD
Me
Mii
Yours Truly
Of course
Im guilty
12 mins analysis of a 6 sec clip
Sounds about right for Game Explain.
Yeah because he needs that ad revenue
Well, the whole thing with the tower WAS a pretty impressive observation
110 times as long
Videogames are art though. Looking at a painting can take hours to explain everything you see in it and that doesn't even move!
I just don't want 3D Land and World level layouts. I want free roam like back in the olden days
how do you even know that it is 3d world? looks like 64 to me.
Rordon Gamsey
That's what it looks like, here.
Until I know that free camera control is in the game, I'm not convinced it's like 64.
Rordon Gamsey
Yeah, 3D land wasn't bad, but it's like the difference between Sonic 3D blast and sonic adventure
I kind of like a mix of linear and non-linear. I absolutely love open-world levels, though I am more of a fan of going to goals instead of collecting stars of whatever. I've never been a huge fan of what they did in 64 or Sunshine that felt to me a bit too much of a collect-a-thon.
Notice how the desert has ice, and this is coming to the Nintendo Switch?! Maybe worlds environments are SWITCHED?!
That is absolutly briliant! I didnt even think of that!
Super Mario: Switched worlds
One Dash remember you have said this....
OnlyGav Galaxy had Ice on lava. :v
AAG Ventus I will 😂😂
I love your analysis machine. Where can I buy one?
Sorry, it's a vintage model :)
+GameXplain lol
MasterJoshua467 I don't honk it would be a speed run game because there's a bunch of objectives around him
Find a media player with zoom and frame-by-frame if you want to do something like this.

Its now called super mario odyssey
Lol J’San
Wow you guys predicted a lot of Odyssey from just those few seconds of footage.
Ice? The moon? Super Mario Moonshine confirmed. I can't wait to use my new F.L.A.M.E. device to shower fire upon my foes!
...If it wasn't clear, I'm just being silly.
Ah, yes, the F.L.A.M.E., made by Dr. Gadd Zucks :P
You could have something there though!
Anibal Fermaint Gonzalez Ha, maybe! But I'm not placing any bets on it.
Especially because I can't imagine a flamethrower making for gameplay as unique as the FLUDD did. ...Unless the new devise works to shoot both water AND fire, which I actually could see happening now that I think about it.
Zachmacf Neither am I, but... Super Mario Sunshine, Super Mario Moonshine: SMS and SMM. That's quite the "switch" there.
You know what I love about this? No touch controls, no motion controls. Just classic Nintendo gaming.
E3 2017 is gonna be crazy
an actual controller
***** Well, Miyamoto wasn't involved with the Switch, but I wouldn't be so sure about the new Mario game. If he is involved we may see all of the recycled shit of the past seven years.
Am I really the only one who liked the touch controlls in most wii u games ?
If it's Nintendo going back to their roots for their games, I'm totally on board with that.
For me, touch controls work better on systems like the 3DS. They just FEEL better. Consoles, however, I'd rather have a normal controller.
Sometimes I think that Andre and Derrick are the actual analysis machines...
Shhhhhhhhh
ProDJ222 i
that's as crazy of a claim as the one from the person who claimed I was the analysis machine
I think It’s called Mario odyssey and that you can “capture enemys” hope My Productions are correct
The way he jumps...
Could this be a new 64?... plus the hearts
Seems like it. The camera angle is the same as well.
Man hope so I've been waiting for a more open world design Mario game with a proper hub world since sunshine.
To be fair both Super Mario Galaxies had proper hubs. But yeah, although I do think 3D Land and World were both great games the lack of a hub and 2D-esque map layout were upsetting and made me nostalgic.
congratulations
you just received 64 likes, get the joke?
It's based on SM64
Zyxcba It's not the same though, in super Mario 64 and Sunshine the hub worlds were like one massive level with a bunch of stars and other stuff to find and collect. The galaxy games are great but they were just level by level pretty much and im kinda sick of that to be honest.
I also think your Cap theory has some good evidence as you can sorta see Mario's hat move a little bit when he lands from the jump, meaning it might not be rendered as completely attached to his body!
or maybe the cap store allows you to change carters like in the 3ds remake of sm64
Mario's hat has always been a separate model since Mario 64.
+toyguy119 but it never really moves separately unless it gets stolen or he takes it off for whatever reason
Super Mario *Switch*... as in switch hats?
Rey Tristan now mario cam be a sombre-bro ;)
Super Mario: Tropical Freeze

Everyone is talking about "frozen ice"...
Yet nobody has mentioned "cactuses"...
PedzRR cactuses is an optional plural form of cactus; it's still considered proper grammar.

and the heart is probably a spin heart from SM64

2. A Hub you can play in - I know, Galaxy and Sunshine had the same thing but it first appeared in SM64.
3. The Animations - Look closer at how he moves, his fist gets slightly bigger when he jumps and his cap has physics which makes me think it can be knocked off when hurt like on the desert level in 64.
4. His Moveset - Triple Jump and Long Jump are shown in the footage but what if there were more moves that haven't been shown yet (Punching, Diving, -and Spinning like the way in Sunshine.-)
5. How the NPCs and Enemies act - The NPCs don't turn their heads or look at Mario like how the Toads do in Sunshine or the characters in Galaxy. The only Enemy shown was the Bullet Bill which like they said acts like he did in 64
6. The Floating Heart - It would probably work the same as it was in SM64.

Music Proposition new metroid?
Rasmus Krogh-Jensen No, Retro studios is working on a new project
Dionys84 not talking about retro studios
Also probably a couple of other 1st party Nintendo games
maybe even a new Smash Bros.
One thing you missed Andre is that when Mario jumps and skids his hat bops up everytime.
+GeoshiTheRed Ha I actually did catch that. I was just getting tired and wanted to finish the video. Good catch though :)
Oh no worries man :)
Ah, real-life physics.
Actually, given the facts that Mario's hat follows real physics and that there is a hat store in this Mexico city, it's not far-fetched to think that hats might play a role in this game...
Super Mario Cap Switch
10:06 Folks are talking about possessing bullet bills to go through the rings. I'm focused more on the fact that you don't bounce on the power lines, but travel in them by turning into electricity. That electric box isn't a warning, but a welcome mat. =P
Maybe the cap has its own life and its name is Cappy and Cappy's sister was kidnapped by Bowser who tries to marry Peach, and Mario can swap out hands and ....
MARIO ODYSSEY HYPE!!!!
SteamRamSam good guess, better try next time ;)
Yeah, I don't believe any of this. Can't you see the footage is just a photo shopped Little Mac?
Damn ummm lemme try again..... OH I GOT IT! This is Hotel Mario 2! I'm sure of it.
YOU GUYS ARE STUPID
SUPER MARIO ODYSSEY
C.D. Riley lol
*I HOPE THIS IS THE SPIRITUAL SUCCESSOR TO MARIO 64!*
Maybe - but this seems to look very similar to 64.
not really a spiritual successor if mario still lives, you know...
Oh. I might be using the term wrong then, but I'm saying it since we didn't get a sequel or successor in ages.
Or Sunshine; Only Instead of Cleaning off Goop; This time He MAY need to Melt all the Ice that's surrounding the World of this game
Ibrahim Farooq
well, 3d world released in 2013... if the new mario releases in 2018, for example, it's still a pretty standard gap between titles for the franchise.
also a chance this could be Galaxy 3! like Mario travels to a desert town planet
doesn't look like galaxy however
RedAttorneyMember010
I doubt it. There's more to this game, but looking at how the game's designed, I'm not getting Galaxy vibes.
Everything they showed was flat level design. It doesn't look like a Galaxy game.
This look more Super Mario 64-ish than anything.
Hope not..
"Mexican like town"
Hopefully there's a level where you can build a wall or something, that'll be neat!
damn lol
Jonut WOW, that's the funniest thing I've ever HEARD! And I bet mentioning your age REALLY makes people look up to you and makes you feel smart.
"My, what a smart child for expressing his opinion in a space where nobody cares."
WWWOOOOOOOOW
Jesus Casey, savage.
Adam Haif Thanks Adam
Jonut I was joking, by the way. Sorta.
Dear people in the comments section, have you ever thought that an original mario game can be made instead of a sequel?
mr.bmc nope
UltimateSmasher [Mason Conrad] good to know :D
Look at all the franchises they own: nintendo.wikia.com/wiki/Nintendo_franchises
Now tell me that the only thing they ever do is put out reboots and sequels, and then explain to me how EVERY SINGLE OTHER GAMING COMPANY DOESN'T DO THAT EXACT THING. Seriously, how many assassin's creeds, CoDs, GTAs, etc. do we have now?
+Spinner891 Yeah, no. Both Sony and Microsoft have more IPs than Nintendo.
one thing that i noticed and im actually really excited about is that Mario's jumps seem to have a lot of weight to them.
LECKMICH Yeah i mean i know what you are saying i like the heavy mario from 64
Well you're lucky because THE DIVE IS RETURNING BOIII
and yes, I know this comment is unnecessary because you probably already know that
Mario put his arms out like that in SMB3 when running at top speed.
Forrest Hunter and world.
Forrest Hunter
So there could possibly be a run button in this game...
And 3D World
This Username was changed for the better no, Mario put his hands to his side's for that one, in an L position with fists. Not arms out like an airplane.
Galaxy isn't new anymore...and a simple animation being similar to something else isn't worth complaining over.
So a classic Spyro styled world system?
Gerbil Crab Actually, yeah that's pretty much what I'm thinking. Just without the load times. I think it'd be a cool direction to take 3D Mario. Because then the Mario 64/Sunshine fans get what they want while also appeasing the people who prefer linear Mario.
Gerbil Crab sounds more like Jak and Daxter to me. the first one, that had hub world that led seamlessly into separate levels
gmaster2647 good guess
That would be neat 😏
I am going to be spending so much money on this console... Well played Nintendo, well played
Why? It might be as bad as the Wii U?
zZiL341yRj736 Still spent a ton on that, because the Wii U is not a bad console
The Wii U was great, just poorly marketed and needed a different name
"each general world (the Desert World, the Water World, etc) might have a sprawling hub that serves as a 64-style level, and then smaller areas that segue into more linear Galaxy/3D World levels."
That'd be good, although it'd be quite structurally similar to Galaxy.
It might be something like Lego Star Wars TFA where each level has its own hub and you can travel between the hubs
Has everybody noticed how expressive Mario seems to be!?! He has Disney-esque movements, and it looks wonderful. I love how his hat bounces up and down as he runs.
You guys didnt even mention that Mario has hat physics now smh ;D
Thank god I wasn't the only one who noticed that.
Nintendriat just like in the beta of NSMB DS!
Nintendriat Yep. I noticed that and love that attention to detail.
It has hat physics, but... it doesn't fall off when he does the triple jump lol. Nintendo and their silly logic. cx
Maybe that means Mario's hat can be stolen again.
A 11 min video, for 6 secs of gameplay, you never cease to amaze me
Only GameXplain can make an 11 minute video about around 6 seconds of footage. Well done fam, well done
How the fuck did you guys get 11 minutes of analysis out of just a few seconds of footage?
Gamexplain is on fire again! :D
You must be new here
InfinityAlex
If you've been here as long as the rest of us, you should already know the answer.
DragonShade100 I been here since sticker star
InfinityAlex We found the new guy.
Wait a second...
Hearts?
Temples?
Crazy Caps?
A Giant Moon?
Purple Arrows?
...
The Legend of Peach: Wajora's Cap
Coming March 2017
I thought the same about the ice.
I think this is kinda bringing back the mechanics of Sunshine.
Another thing to point out....What if there's no HUB?
I mean, what if you need to walk from a level to another while making side quest before entering temples....kind of like Zelda.
#GloriousSwitchMasterrace
LOL
Phoenix Wright - #NintendoSwitchMasterrace Heh, your description still saids #WiiUmasterrace :p
Nicely done on changing the user name to reflect the newest console from Nintendo.
yes!
I finally found you! Yes, SWITCH MASTERRACE!
So hyped for the Switch!! Great analysis as always!! 😁👍
Red Dead Redemption port looks cool in Nintendo Switch.
lol
Reiuji Arukanjeru X they're not making one
Reiuji Arukanjeru X and no nba 2k16
It was a joke about the town looking like it's in the wild west. Also how do you know there won't be one? They're in the list of 3rd party supporters.
Reiuji Arukanjeru X yes skyrim is going to be great
Came back two weeks before the game's launch to see how much the analysis machine actually got right. You guys were surprisingly close at some points, and completely dead-on at others. Color me impressed.
Have a look at 9:00, you can see the power moon in the top left of the screen. If only he saw it back then.
Yes! Gamexplain and Andre doing what they do best - taking seconds of footage and blowing it up into an over ten minutes of analysis.
ugh I wish it was sunshine 2
Sunshine? The worst 3d Mario ever?!?
Sunshine is the best. Ever.
Sunshine IS okay. Still the worst 3d Mario, though. That fucking watergun BS gimmick, ugh. Never again.
Super Mario Sunset. :D
Sunshine is not the worst. 3D World is definitely the worst console 3D Mario game.
I hope we can punch and kick again in this new mario game.
yes! I wanna be able to beat the shit out of some goombas again
Diane Tayler, what are you even talking about lol. Did you even play the first 3D Mario game? Mario can punch and do a jump kick.
Diane Tayler Lol what? In Super Mario 64, Mario could kick and punch, which is the only thing missing from this new Mario game to make me confirm that this is basically a Mario 64 sequel.
*****
Hey man long time no see how have you been?
*****
Sorry about your grandma may she rest in peace.
Leave it to GameXplain to do a 10 minute analysis of a mere 6 seconds of footage. Keep up the good work guys! We are proud of you!
You missed something. At about 10:48, when the girl picks up the screen, you can see some sort of brown pillar emerging on the right. Most likely it has to do with the ruckus that seemed to be taking place earlier in the clip, when something appeared to be 'emerging' from underground.
+Spinner891 Wow, i didn't saw that, keep up the good work!
Excellent analysis. Very detailed and intriguing! Well-done!! I've never seen someone take a few seconds of video and make it so fascinating for over 11 minutes! Can't WAIT for this game!!!!
Super Mario Fire and Ice? Eh.
you beat me to it
Super Mario - Winter is Coming
Super Mario Desert Freeze

Let it go, MeatNinja!
It's like saying "stupid American", lol!
It's fun looking back at these type of videos.
Who else came here a couple weeks before Super Mario Odyssey is released?
Clever Noodles me
Me!!! It's interesting what he predicted.
So is princess daisy in this game? Nintendo could make use of Sarasaland.. it's been over 2 years guys, come on..
"20 years" I think you meant..
I hope they bring back her N64 design if they do. :(
Supertron but it has been more than 2 years. 20 is more than 2.
Adambalm I'll say...
Hope not. Daisy sucks.
The Legend of Mario: Tropical Freeze
The Game after Sunshine:
Super Mario Moonlight!
Evan Lefavor so Mario maker
Evan Lefavor well there's an alternative that means you don't have to buy amiibo. Super smash bros
dude this is Mario oddessy we know now
Have I got the game for you........
you're forgetting one thing,,, Nintendo never supplies amiibo
I can’t wait til this game comes out
Same
It looks amazing I hope mario has some new abilities
Gordon Ramsay : "So how is the water here ?"
Nintendo : "Honestly sir, it's frozen."
Gordon Ramsay : "Fuck me..."
Anyone else comeback in 2019 to see how accurate the analysis was?
I’ll one up u, 2020
best analysis yet guys, I loved it
I love going back to these switch analysis videos
0:56 a Mexican type theme. *donald trump clicks off video*
I bet the boss of the Mexican level is Donald Trump...
Nintendo Boy Ultra yess
lmao
Nintendo Boy Ultra I spit my drink lmao
I ship it
Nintendo Boy Ultra
Trump Bowser...?
Based on the amiibos in these scenes, Luigi, Peach and Yoshi are all playable :P
Dionys84 u forgot Bowser
or maby the switch supports amibos
August Season it'd be fun to have playable Bowser, yeah
If he was he better be broken
Or maybe Nintendo is gonna make levels that are only gonna be accesible with amiibos like total jerks
1:07 When Mario Holds His Arms Out Like That Its A Reference Of How He Ran In Super Mario World Snes
There are two details I am loving about this game. 1: the way Mario holds his arms out as he runs, and 2: as he jumps etc, his hat comes off a little bit. I love these details because they remind me of Super Mario World, one of my favorite Mario games.
11 minutes to talk about a 10 second scene. Yep. GameXplain.
Guys I'm here from the future, THE HAT HAS EYES NOW
Funny going back seeing what we got right and what we got wrong.
This is always fun to look back at
Neat touch to Mario's animations where his hat kind of lifts off his head when falling.
Maybe there's no "stages", but a giant open world?
Grupo Karate Bugman
Like Zelda Breathe of the Wild but Mario!
Grupo Karate Bugman Like Jak and Daxter?
That would be the worst possible thing for a platformer.
Supertron Your point is: ...?
Grupo Karate Bugman Mario at it's core is a game about jumping on platforms and reaching a goal at the end of a level, whether it's actually a goal post, a star, or a defeating a boss. An open world gives no sense of direction for a platformer.
Maybe Mario travels to different parts of the world in this game.
They could call it like, Super Mario "World"... or something.
There's already a Super Mario World...
James Cody super Mario planet maybe
+Mikee Flores
yesss that's a good one
Mikee Flores I hope it's a Mario Galaxy 3
or some sort of Mario 64 for the Switch
Could this Mario be open world?
Words & Games, I think they'll pull off a Mario Sunshine kind of thing here
Ah Dimentio, i am actually a big fan of the big N. i even rebought both Galaxy on my wii u.i have been a Mario fan since the 80's big time. i just wanted to have NIntendo put out a new flavor of Mario, just because they are so good at developing such unique characters, rich and colorful worlds.
Danny Quin yep
Its amazing to see older predictions videos of the switch! Its fun to see how much people have failed predicting exc... THIS IS DA FUTURE
I find it amusing to look back at these kind of videos after playing the actual game
Maybe Mario can control the bullet bill with his hat?!
I don't think so...
How far we've come...
LOLMan yes....
MARIO GALAXY 3!!!!!
taher hassani PLEASE GOD!!!
nope
Please let it be so!
Fingers crossed!
Highly doubt it.
Its amazing how much details you can get with a few seconds of trailer
good work :)
Wow, man this is just crazy, 11 minutes analysis from 6 seconds of gameplay! Amazing as always!!
marios hat flies off when he jumps, that new.
could it be

"Like Super Mario 64, or Super Mario Galaxy", um, Andre, why do you always leave out Sunshine? If anything, Sunshine was more open-ended than Galaxy.
I'm so hyped for this game
You forgot when Mario does his last triple jump, his hat kind of tips over a bit. I love the attention to detail in this game.
Really hope this one has a proper hubworld rather than a world map.
Why do people talk about GameXplain ridiculous, long analysis if they WANT to make a 24 HOUR discussion and analysis Hell, that's their problem.
dennisscipio most people are making jokes they love their long analyses :)
Watching in 2018 just to see how close GameExplain got.
5:55 "Purple Arrows" XD
Later in the video (at 6:40), Andre said that they appear to be collectables and that they might be used as a form of currency. He was right!
no red circle surrounding anything, no arrow pointing a something strange, that means it's a good video!
I've watched a lot of Game Xplain videos. This one convinced me to subscribe to the channel. Great work, GX Team!
