Hi Frederic. I've not personally ever used a Golden Mask machine (but I hear good things), so it's difficult to compare them. I would say that there are features such as the changeable software, EMI preview etc that are unique to the Atrex... if you are looking for your next machine then I think the Atrex is definitely worth a look!
What you think of the white coil? I asked what was the difference and they told me to get the black one caus the White is more nose heavy and didn't bring much pros with it. I don't understand caus I read somewhere the white version is more stable than the black one.
So, my understanding is that the white could is more stable in direct sunlight/hot weather because it's white, it's slightly bigger because so better ground coverage, personally not had an issue with size of it or balance BUT I've only tested it in field twice AND I normally use the 23cm DD coil that Rutus released a while back, a may well go back to that eventually as I found the coil was great for small items/coins etc
@@tcDetects yes, but I believe a 23cm coil would be a demotivation when youre on a huge field haha.. I believe the old Rutus coils including the 23cm are interchangeable right? I believe dealer has them in stock and gonna grab one direct with the Atrex itself. Hope it comes in tomorrow or Friday :).

@@TheInsox yep, could are interchangeable, and despite the 23cm coil being smaller, it's still (for now) my favourite Alter coil ;-)

Shame they didn't add higher frequencies ...18 is osolete 25 to 30 khz separates much better in heavy iron ...
