From what I understand, the Husky 501 is the same weight as the 450 but you have to replace the CPU. How do you think it would compare to the 450 after the new CPU?
Timbersled would have sold me a new riot if it would have came with a belt drive. I was really expecting it being that timbersled is owned by Polaris which almost every machine they make runs on a belt drive. Hopefully next year!
Kevin Cyr I doubt you’ll ever see it from them. Their moto is timbersled tough. And though I’ve heard of main chains breaking in the past, I’ve never heard of a chain case chain breaking, so they’ll keep it... but I wouldn’t mind if they didn’t. How hard is it to carry an extra belt just in case?! I don’t hear of too many belt failures. Yes, they happen, but not that often.
I've seen the chain in the case fail after one ride out of adjustment. I'm packing a spare chain on my rides so I would gladly carry a spare belt. The rotating mass is the only flaw I see in timbersled.. the noise is noticable on brockstar36 new Alta snowbike.
Hey - I make a Cameo appearance! Great review. I thought my track is a 17' 120. but I definitely had to stay in your rut to make it.
Oh ya, it is a 17'!
Look into cmx I just bought a 129 and it's unbelievable more playful than any kit I've rode and climbs way better than anything of same length
if I get you right , you'd go for the Husky + yeti 137' ...
It's a great setup, yes. For deep stuff, I'd be all over it. I'm a "short track" kinda guy for most my riding though.
