- Last week we went to visit Robert and bought 6 old vehicles from him without much investigation. In this video we inspect all of the machines in detail to get an idea of their condition, and figure out whether or not we made a good deal.
Items purchased:
1990 Yamaha TW200
1975 Yamaha DT100
1986 Yamaha IT200
1983 Honda Aero 50
1997 Suzuki DR350
1982 Honda ATC250R

Brother... that 250r is worth $2500 with a good set of plastics running, I would definitely invest in some fix it parts and tires and clean it up good

remember that this is a aircooled first gen r. they arent worth big money at all. right now its worth like maybe 1000-800 bucks a basically perfect one would be 2500 or 3000
@@kollinspencer847 depends where you are I suppose, still huge market for Honda trikes here in Ohio and surrounding areas, see good rider examples go for 2k+ frequently
ATC first for sure! I'll be happy whatever you choose though because I learn something every time I watch you work on a machine.
ATC 250 has my vote for the first project.
Jacob, mate. I obviously can’t speak for all subscribers but when you guys drop a new video it’s always awesome to see. It’s not only the bike work that people enjoy viewing but also the everyday banter with camera girl & yourself and what you guys are generally getting upto that people want to see.
For my vote it has to be the 3 wheeler, they were banned for a reason and also why I want one in my garage 🤙

Finally other trike! The first high performance ATV ever built! 1st gens are so neat, I have an ‘82 as well. I bet you could sell it as is for $1000. But man I hope you keep it and fix it!!

That ATC 250r even locked up is an easy $1000 on its own. Even more just in parts. They have absolutely skyrocketed. The 86+ is worth a bit more. But never the less. There are very few left out there. Pretty much all of the 80s 2 stroke quads or Trikes have reached like a next level collectors item above all other normal tier bikes. Parts are hard to find and the bikes themselves are even harder to find in mostly complete condition. Having the engine alone is a huge win.

YT is such trash when it comes to notifications.
One thing that might help you is what I do, I installed a redirector, so that whenever it would send me to the YT home page, it instead sends me to my subscriptions tab.
Also set it up so that if I click a short, it instead opens in the normal YT player, cause I HATE the shorts player.
Robert is a gem and I'm excited for all these projects. I have a TW200 so I'm partial about seeing that restored. Shame about the DMV fees though. Thanks guys.
Imo fix the atc first. It looks the best and is somewhat desirable. Even though its slow ive always had a thing for the gen 1 atc 250r.

You could easily get $800-1000 for the 3 wheeler as I sits, locked up and all, where I live in Memphis TN.
I had a DR350. Could not start it without pulling it and when it did it back fired, would not go over 3k rpm under a load, and exhaust blew bright hot. After hours of research and checking, I found the stator wires were in poor condition inside the housing. I replaced it with a used one off eBay and it ran fantastic!

That 76 is sweet , fully restoring that could get you a nice profit .
The paint is still really nice , needs a few things but that is something worth putting some TLC into.

That atc 250r I would restore them things are crazy fun I’ve had a 84 250r and a 85 200m I think it was funnest machines ever and can go through anything

For sure. That early ATC 250R would be going for $1,500 in my area as it sits. People around here act like they have gold and ask insane prices for eveything.
Definitely the three-wheeler first. And definitely go and visit old boy and get a puppy. I've been watching you guys for quite some time and really enjoy your channel. My girlfriend passed away recently and we live the life just like the two of you. She had no health issues and was 40 years of age. The only reason I spewed that out is because tomorrow is not promised live everyday like it's your last. Absolutely love the both of you keep up the good work and God bless. ❤

That Aero 50 is a hidden gem.
You can get plastics for the ATC250R from Maier Plastics.
They're like gold here in Australia, with restored ones fetching AUD$10,000 (USD$6500) plus.

I recently picked up a 1990 DR250 and it’s my first 4 stroke project after a few 2 strokes. The 350 seems to be waaay more popular and parts are more common and cheaper so that should be a solid bike! They unfortunately seem not to resell for too much but are great for what they are.
Get the 3 wheeler done ✔️ first, then sir, the cheeky little scooter, then, go back, and get 2 puppy's.....they keep each other company......word....Great vlog 😀, massive respect 🙏

I'd suggest repair the easiest one to do first, and flog it asap.
Use that money for the most valuable bike that would be an easy sale. Then glide on your whims!👍

I was the same way about our dog. I don’t think you’ll regret getting a puppy. It will most likely bring a lot of love and joy to your life that will exceed the aggravation of puppyhood.

That IT200 is a beauty. Such an amazing aesthetic. Also, the crackheads in my area would be selling any of those for well over a grand. Especially the trike.

250R 3 wheeler... Those Things are BEAST!

I have that TREK Mt. Bike you have in the garage, (Marlin 7 I believe it is). That "modern bike" turns like a school bus compared to my retro 95 Nuke Proof Ti. bike, and the single chain ring gearing is pretty limited for the high and low gears. Great hydraulic disk brakes though. But the retro V-brakes are plenty strong. Strong enough to endo with a panic one finger pull. The head angles got even more slack for the later bikes than the Marlin 7, so they probably turn like a dump truck. "Now, where is that berm I need to turn a "modern" bike?" :)
As a quick fix I would do the Honda moped. From experience that Honda will run & with a small amount of time & money last another 10 years easily. Moped road trip with the wife ? I'd also be tempted to fix that TW200 even as a field bike. I'm sure the parts you need can be sourced. You could easily adapt MX plastic tank. Go for it. The ATC250 is a classic beast no doubt. But I'd get it running & sell to a collector or enthusiast that could restore it properly. For me the IT200 is The bike. I would fix up as best as possible. A true classic. Get the ATC going first, I agree with Camera Girl! 250R's are rare and certainly have a following. As the 250R sits in pieces not running it's worth an easy $1,000. Love your videos and your fun relationship, God Bless You Guys!!!

I have all the lights for the Yamaha DT 100. Excellent condition. Might keep them. Just saying. Cool Video. The motor is almost totally rebuilt.

Camera Girl is always the priority. Definitely fix the three wheeler first and as many puppies as she wants.
Deff the 250r. I agree on the low hours. Man if she runs, and runs good, no noises, it could be worth getting some maier fenders for it and a decent seat. U should get 2k for that machine by itself. Esp if u do some minor touch ups here n there. Some guys go nuts over oem paint and oem decals. Acquire u a title also. I think ur gonna make out better then u think. Always start high of course. List it for 2k and see what happens b4 u list for triple digit prices.
Could probably part it out on eBay and get 2k

I came off a Honda ATC in 1982 still got the scars. They are 'tricky' beasts.

Dang. I like the 250. Ive heard about the red motors either they were good or not as good either way love to see it man.
What year is it? For the older bikes, the model year was usually the last 2 digits of the serial number stamped on the head tube. I would bet that Yamaha DT100 enduro is closer to 1978. Hopefully, the head tube will tell you.

awesome to see you guys again, well, i didn't see camera girl but just to hear her laugh. my dogs have passed away and a new one has not found me yet, I have always had 1 dog, occasionally 2, my entire life. cats also by the way just 1, ya have to have to be the dog ruler. LOl i am out of touch with what these are bringing now, I have not ever paid over 75 bucks except for 4 exceptions. so I have at least 25 now, maybe I should start selling. LOL

That 250r could be worth more with some tlc. I vote full rebuild on a budget. So when you sell it. Guy or gal can have something they are proud of
