- It's not easy but very very usefull; the fake sweep! You can pass a ball with a fake movement, which leads to a wrong move of you opponent and a beautiful pass to your teammate. You can do it to the left and to the right side. Which one do you think is harder? Paul explains it very clear, so everyone can do it by training it a lot.

I've done that before at first I thought you meant then you angle your stick away from the receiver but then fling the ball to them it's hard to explain

Nice video guys! You can also fake slap it just past the left foot of a defender while shaping up straight at them, especially when entering the D. Highly effective!

For sweeping to the right side, how would you get more power for longer distance sweeps? Like for switching the ball as a defender. I find that I lose power on the right side.
Stay low and try to 'roll' the ball off your stick. If you get up to quick you'll lose power and won't be able to roll it off. It is a hard technique though, keep practicing! Cheers, Paul

for the 2nd fake sweep another way to make it look more convincing is if you let the ball roll off instead of sweep/hitting it

Is there a difference between a slap and a sweep shot? What do you call a shot where, instead of hitting the ball you actually get the ball to roll from the top of the stick almost to the edge and then release it. All this bending down and holding the stick almost flat on the ground.
It depends if you have your hands together or from apart. Together is a sweep or slap and outside is a drag flick.
Hockey Heroes TV Similar to a drag flick but here you are on the 25 yard line and you do a slapshot to get the ball into the D.
