    Your letters are MBC, at least you can make something up to suit your letters. I'm in NZ and they gave our little apiary the letters and numbers G0200..... what the heck are we supposed to do with those.....haha 🤣🤣. Thanks for the great videos.

    this is a great video, very helpful, so let me get this right, you put the 2 frames of nurse bees, brood lavae and eggs, 2 frames of honey and pollen in a nuc and close it up for 10 days before you open the entrance? seems to make sense as they have everything they need without leaving until the queens are well on their way to emerging.
    cheers Rob

    I know zero about 🐝 keeping, but I just love you as a character who loves his bee ladies, and Aussie sense of humour, I'm also learning so much about our precious bee friends ❤️ 👌👏👏

    Funny you should talk about Queen mating flights. First time I took my drone out for a flight and on returning home I noticed a swarm of bees attacking it. Must have accidentally flown through a mating swarm or a swarm looking for a new home. The drone was covered in bee guts and I couldn't see the swarm from the ground.
    MBC = Mark's Bee Company. Pretty obvious.

    Can you split with capped swarm cells in the brood box?

    • @apveening
      @apveening 2 года назад +1

      That is another way, taking the queen away to a another box/hive, simulating a natural swarm situation.

    Nicotine honey sounds like the old Yahoo Serious movie about nicotine in eggs. Not an original idea.

    I'm looking to start up next spring, will be purchasing a good queen. Plan is to start up a queen rearing business, artificially inseminate them, end up with about 60 hives by the end of 2023.
    2024, is to make about 6 or 7 batches of queens and keep my hives no more than 75 hives. Should get some good honey as well.
