It’d be awesome if in the future they start having creatures/aliens that you could fight in patrol. Give a more unique-to-planet aspect to the game. Example: a huge worm breaks out of the ground killing a couple dregs and that’s how the encounter begins.
Maybe they could have it an as announced public event kinda thing...... a certain day/time this event happens...... and make it different to kill, but not difficult to do.....
If you like a good story I would say playing again is not a bad idea. Also it is quite forgiving for casual play right now which is very nice for someone like me who doesn’t have a lot of time nowadays.

Letting you craft armour/weapons or even ornaments (preferably). I’d love that to be honest but that’s just me, obvious monster hunter fan xD
Like the others said already, Europa is genuinely like that. The icy terrain is just the surface of Europa. The ocean beneath it is heated by geothermal energy. Things very well could live down there, and I mean in real life. It's very possible.
I was practicing sparrow launching in the beyond section of Europa last night and was wondering why the hell theres so much empty area there, theres even a path leading far as hell to nothing?

I think it would've been really cool if there was a whole darkness themed city hidden like a mirage out in the Beyond. It really does seem like they were planning on doing something but maybe it got scrapped who knows.

The lore in Destiny is so deep. They could do a Silmarillion type book with it. I would definitely love to read that. Take all the lore and chapter it in chronological order.
I just wanted to say, that sometimes you can hear Children humming..and it has been confirmed children have been on Europa, thanks to the Penguin toys. And because it’s coming from the direction of the pyramid, I believe the darkness is echoing the sounds of children.
The Aphelion are probably just an older form of the taken. Seeing as they appear in large numbers, are related to the awoken, have a unique type of radiation, and can devastate large areas and then disappear. This happened on Phobos. Also the word aphelion refers to a point in a planets orbit when it is furthest from the sun. This could represent going away from the light, like what happens to the taken.
There is a lore page (I forget which one) about exploration of titan before humanity attempted to terraform it that described "magnetic waves in the form of communication" coming from that worm under the ice. Whatever it is, it is at least a similar creature to the Leviathan of Fundament, which had me scared for WEEKS that there were more worm gods.
It'd be cool but there wouldn't be much sense in going after an animal that ain't bothering anyone. I'm hoping we'll somehow still get a Europa dungeon, maybe with Eramis.

I think the Aphelion being something like a random encounter that's just extremely hard to survive, would be awesome. Then when you respawn they just, aren't there.
I honestly love the idea of giant monsters in games, I really like when you can hear ambience of distant monsters. Sadly though I doubt we'll get to see any of these huge monsters in game
I remember on Titan our Ghost will hack a terminal and mention something about a large object outside of The Rig below the surface of the methane. That was some spooky stuff, and you see the silhouette lurking by later on.
The amount of potential the Destiny universe has is insane. It just shows how uncreative Bungie is that they haven’t used/mentioned any of these creatures or events in game.
It’s worth mentioning that there are actual organisms under the ice on Europa IRL. They’re microorganisms, sure, but Destiny 1 takes place in 2631, and with all the space magic floating around the galaxy, I don’t think it’s unreasonable that something funky might have happened to those microscopic creatures.
Have you seen about the shadow of a creature on Europa that can be seen sometimes when you go to the place you face the Warrior? Its in that part where a lot of shanks come our of the walls, at the left, when you enter there theres a shadow of a creature that crawls on the wall. You can see it on Esoterickk's video about the location of the 9 penguins, at 9:12 on the left.
I remember one lorebook saying that once Humans were able to communicate with the creatures under the ice but after the Golden Age the Contact was lost.
Also the leviathan is talked about on the lore books: "regarding stasis: sloan" where sloan is on a ship with a lightless rookie pilot, she begins to warn the pilot not to fly so close to the methane surface in which the pilot back talks remarking that it's just water, sloan corrects him and tells him that its methane and it'd kill him in seconds and if he was even able to survive it the leviathan would get him.
You also potentially forgot the Leviathan of Torobatl, which is the creature that the ship was modeled after. Giant sand worm that liked to crunch on whole cities.
I hope in the witch queen dlc the "deciple worm" as I call it can get a raid where we go to the pyramid on the moon and while we're looking out we see something below and then it launches up and we have to run away and we have to fight it when we stun it
How awesome would it be if the light fall location is an abandoned ship with forests for oxygen and areas without artificial gravity and then it’s like in a slow orbit around a black hole or dying star
I saw a video speculating what D3 would be about and it said something about the Aphelion being the most dangerous threat we ever faced. So maybe the darkness is trying to prepare us for that.

Videos like this really makes me see how cool the Destiny world is. It is soo unfortunate tho that Bungie doesn’t take advantage of this, we have all these awesome creatures, stories, species and we really never see them. They need to add stuff that doesn’t resolve around the current world, let us be a guardian in a new way. Let us see these mysterious and new creatures, worlds etc, even just a strike or quest where we fight along or against these creatures is enough, even rescuing a mining crew that is stuck in the Europa cliff thing would be amazing. Let us experience those creatures in that way
Go to the deep stone crypt OOB and stay in the entrance of the DSC, dont go inside. If you stay outside of it, you can hear a very strange noise, almost like a monster underneath the ice
If there's a Worm like Eir or Ur on Europa, we best be fighting that thing in Beyond, place is massive and completely useless aside from seeing Elsie vibing in the snow
A Fallen dungeon would be awesome on Europa with a few surprises showing us that we have to fight something like a monster that isn't any of the 5 races we currently have! Going back to Titan to see what we'll be doing with that giant worm god or leviathan creature would be nice, if it is Oryx's worm then we could use it's power to take the Taken away from Savathun as like a new Darkness subclass for Taken 😏
That’s one thing I’ve never noticed until now. There is no other life on any planets, besides the ones that we fight. Though there is some of the creatures like the ones on Titan. There is no other passive life forms residing on other planets. You’d think a sci-fi game would be littered with aliens species everywhere.
Would be cool if there was a secret spot on europa where if you jumped down you'd sink for a while and see some weird ass creatures and after you hit the bottom you find something that turns into a quest for some sorta exotic
All of this and we still only see Hive, Vex, Eliksni and Cabal (Taken and Scorn are just variants). The wealth of lore that they can’t be assed to explore is insane. I’d love to see Earth transported to a new star system by the traveller as an Arc. An evacuation. Starting in a new quadrant of the galaxy, new shit to explore, all new enemies, new allies and finally that white tiger guy companion! I also want a sparrow with guns. I also want to fly my ship.
The aphelion may be the same creatures that killed drifters team when they were out in a different solar system exploring different planets. Apparently you can't see them very well but they have the power to permanently kill a guardian if you die within a certain radius of their presence. You may not even know one is around and then die but your ghost gets its light drained. The awoken being incarnates of light and dark could give off a certain attraction to these creatures vs regular humans. I'm not saying its the same species drifter encountered, but its pretty close. Also, bungie needs to put these kinds of terrors in the game and give is some thrill. How cool would it be to visit a completely alien planet outside our galaxy and fight new species. Destiny has been very rooted in defending Earth but I think its time for "the young wolf" to venture out a bit. How cool would it be at the start of a DLC to immediately be met with a cutscene that shows everyone going about their business in the tower and all of a sudden the sky goes black (or some phenomena), Radio chatter goes quiet and Zavala races outside and says, "what is going on?" Ikora says, "all radio feeds have been cut, no electricity is working either. We're either encountering a solar flare, or something worse." Suddenly, a transmission comes over tv static and is audio of a creature that don't recognize. Ikora says, "what the hell is that?" The drifter pops up and says, "i've heard that sound before.. you don't want to know, lady." Ikora says, "tell us what you know." Drifter says, "Its a creature that wiped my entire fireteam and drove them to insanity on a planet far out of our system. the rest of them, I shot myself because they wouldn't shut up." Ikora says, "what?! You shot your own fireteam?!" Drifter says calmly, "oh c'mon, they weren't even themselves and they were compromising my life - I did what I had to." Ikora looks down in disgrace and disbelief and says, "well, can they be killed and what do they want?!" Drifter says firmly, "Easy now, they can be killed, but your nova bomb is doing anything except making a racket" then chuckles, "you see, I'd recruit your Young Wolf and [his/her] knowledge on stasis for some proper fireworks." Ikors says, "Do you know where they came from or what they want?" Zavala seething with anger at this point slams his fists on the table and says, "YOU BROUGHT THEM HERE. I KNEW YOU WERE HIDING SOMETHING. YOU PERHAPS JUST COMPROMISED HUMANITY" -Drifter and Ikora go silent and look at Zavala. Drifters blank face goes to a disgusted look and says sharply, "I'd be careful who I point the fingers at, if it wasn't for me and the two misfits, you'd have frozen fallen climbing up these walls with intentions of having your head on a pike. Plus, I want whats best for humanity regardless if I do things a bit _differently_ " Zavala growls and says, "Enough. I'm not here to have a conversation. Give us the coordinates of where you encountered these...things and i'll consider not throwing you off this tower." Drifter smiles mischievously and says, "If I give you the coordinates, you have to let me go with the Wolf so I can settle the score." [Ikora looks at Zavala with distress] [Zavala inhales and exhales sharply] and says, "Fine. Don't think about doing what you did to your last team or I'll make sure its your grave." [Drifter staring at Zavala begrudgingly hands Amanda Holliday an info card and she puts it in a navigation computer] Amanda says, "there's no way". Ikora looks at the map and says, "where is that?" Amanda stutters and says, "I-I don't know. This isn't even our galaxy." Ikora says, "How do we plan on fighting this thing if we can't even get there?" Amanda says, "I have a Vex tech engine that has the capability of intergalactic travel but it needs parts to fully operate." [She looks at _The Young Wolf_ and smiles] Ghost chimes in and says, "...Oh come on, its always us!" Amanda says, "There's a huge Vex operation on Ganymede and they have most of their high tech parts and crafts stationed there. I'd make a pit stop there and then come back to base." Drifter says, "Yeah, and hurry because if I know these things any better, they're only out for one thing... you're light. We're not safe here." Zavala says, "i'm putting the city on lockdown and having guardian patrols in the last city." Ikora turns to the _The Young Wolf_ and says, "Go get that hyperdrive." [Cut scene ends] The next mission is much like the beginning of Taken King from Destiny 1. Instead of adding Ganymede as a whole new destination, its just a story mission. You spawn in on Ganymede and start fighting vex and go through their installments until fighting a boss and getting the parts for the hyperdrive." Long story short you return to the tower and give the parts to Amanda. She upgrades your ship and you're tasked to go to this planet that is called "Unkown planet" in the director. Upon landing you are met with super high wind and snowstorm. Ghost immediately chimes in and says, "Guardian, remember how I didn't feel well when we first met the darkness on Europa, well I'm feeling the exact way now. Whatever these things are are pure darkness. I have a feeling we're both not alone and alone. Keep your eyes open." Sprint has been disabled since its so windy and the snow is so deep. You're just walking slowly with your gun pointed with no real sense of direction. [Strange noise like a high pitched scream] Ghost chimes in, "I don't like this. I don't like this one bit." Drifter comes over the comm and says, "Quit your whining and keep your gun close. I had to fight 5 of these things. They're like fallen, except not as stupid." I would keep on going with the story but my hands are done typing. You get the idea. New planet, new species called "The Aphelion."

In the collector's edition, they detail the creature in the ocean and it sounds pretty amazing. Big, slow starfish/octopus kinda thing.
I think they need to make the location's feel more alive with wildlife

I think the Aphelion being something like a random encounter that's just extremely hard to survive, would be awesome. Then when you respawn they just, aren't there.
I honestly love the idea of giant monsters in games, I really like when you can hear ambience of distant monsters. Sadly though I doubt we'll get to see any of these huge monsters in game

I remember on Titan our Ghost will hack a terminal and mention something about a large object outside of The Rig below the surface of the methane. That was some spooky stuff, and you see the silhouette lurking by later on.

Bungie missed the boat not having the creature from Europa Report show up somewhere. Would have been amazing to see that.
The amount of potential the Destiny universe has is insane. It just shows how uncreative Bungie is that they haven’t used/mentioned any of these creatures or events in game.

It’s worth mentioning that there are actual organisms under the ice on Europa IRL. They’re microorganisms, sure, but Destiny 1 takes place in 2631, and with all the space magic floating around the galaxy, I don’t think it’s unreasonable that something funky might have happened to those microscopic creatures.
Have you seen about the shadow of a creature on Europa that can be seen sometimes when you go to the place you face the Warrior? Its in that part where a lot of shanks come our of the walls, at the left, when you enter there theres a shadow of a creature that crawls on the wall.

Here I thought on europa it was ice particles falling within and making odd noises.
Also the leviathan is talked about on the lore books: "regarding stasis: sloan" where sloan is on a ship with a lightless rookie pilot, she begins to warn the pilot not to fly so close to the methane surface in which the pilot back talks remarking that it's just water, sloan corrects him and tells him that its methane and it'd kill him in seconds and if he was even able to survive it the leviathan would get him.
Imagine getting another exotic quest on the aphelion with the witch queen that would be cool
You also potentially forgot the Leviathan of Torobatl, which is the creature that the ship was modeled after. Giant sand worm that liked to crunch on whole cities.

I saw a video speculating what D3 would be about and it said something about the Aphelion being the most dangerous threat we ever faced. So maybe the darkness is trying to prepare us for that.

Videos like this really makes me see how cool the Destiny world is. It is soo unfortunate tho that Bungie doesn’t take advantage of this, we have all these awesome creatures, stories, species and we really never see them. They need to add stuff that doesn’t resolve around the current world, let us be a guardian in a new way. Let us see these mysterious and new creatures, worlds etc, even just a strike or quest where we fight along or against these creatures is enough, even rescuing a mining crew that is stuck in the Europa cliff thing would be amazing. Let us experience those creatures in that way
Go to the deep stone crypt OOB and stay in the entrance of the DSC, dont go inside. If you stay outside of it, you can hear a very strange noise, almost like a monster underneath the ice

A Fallen dungeon would be awesome on Europa with a few surprises showing us that we have to fight something like a monster that isn't any of the 5 races we currently have! Going back to Titan to see what we'll be doing with that giant worm god or leviathan creature would be nice, if it is Oryx's worm then we could use it's power to take the Taken away from Savathun as like a new Darkness subclass for Taken 😏
That’s one thing I’ve never noticed until now. There is no other life on any planets, besides the ones that we fight.
Though there is some of the creatures like the ones on Titan.
There is no other passive life forms residing on other planets. You’d think a sci-fi game would be littered with aliens species everywhere.
In their "beneath the ice" trailer for NTTE and cloud strike, they have some sounds similar to the space laser sounds created by mountain lakes
Would be cool if there was a secret spot on europa where if you jumped down you'd sink for a while and see some weird ass creatures and after you hit the bottom you find something that turns into a quest for some sorta exotic
It wouldn't surprise me anymore if the Aphelion came with the 'The Witch Queen' expansion, which is said to be Hive focussed.

The wealth of lore that they can’t be assed to explore is insane.
I’d love to see Earth transported to a new star system by the traveller as an Arc. An evacuation. Starting in a new quadrant of the galaxy, new shit to explore, all new enemies, new allies and finally that white tiger guy companion!
I also want a sparrow with guns.

The aphelion may be the same creatures that killed drifters team when they were out in a different solar system exploring different planets. Apparently you can't see them very well but they have the power to permanently kill a guardian if you die within a certain radius of their presence. You may not even know one is around and then die but your ghost gets its light drained. The awoken being incarnates of light and dark could give off a certain attraction to these creatures vs regular humans.
I'm not saying its the same species drifter encountered, but its pretty close. Also, bungie needs to put these kinds of terrors in the game and give is some thrill. How cool would it be to visit a completely alien planet outside our galaxy and fight new species. Destiny has been very rooted in defending Earth but I think its time for "the young wolf" to venture out a bit.
How cool would it be at the start of a DLC to immediately be met with a cutscene that shows everyone going about their business in the tower and all of a sudden the sky goes black (or some phenomena), Radio chatter goes quiet and Zavala races outside and says, "what is going on?" Ikora says, "all radio feeds have been cut, no electricity is working either. We're either encountering a solar flare, or something worse." Suddenly, a transmission comes over tv static and is audio of a creature that don't recognize. Ikora says, "what the hell is that?" The drifter pops up and says, "i've heard that sound before.. you don't want to know, lady." Ikora says, "tell us what you know." Drifter says, "Its a creature that wiped my entire fireteam and drove them to insanity on a planet far out of our system. the rest of them, I shot myself because they wouldn't shut up." Ikora says, "what?! You shot your own fireteam?!" Drifter says calmly, "oh c'mon, they weren't even themselves and they were compromising my life - I did what I had to." Ikora looks down in disgrace and disbelief and says, "well, can they be killed and what do they want?!" Drifter says firmly, "Easy now, they can be killed, but your nova bomb is doing anything except making a racket" then chuckles, "you see, I'd recruit your Young Wolf and [his/her] knowledge on stasis for some proper fireworks." Ikors says, "Do you know where they came from or what they want?" Zavala seething with anger at this point slams his fists on the table and says, "YOU BROUGHT THEM HERE. I KNEW YOU WERE HIDING SOMETHING. YOU PERHAPS JUST COMPROMISED HUMANITY" -Drifter and Ikora go silent and look at Zavala. Drifters blank face goes to a disgusted look and says sharply, "I'd be careful who I point the fingers at, if it wasn't for me and the two misfits, you'd have frozen fallen climbing up these walls with intentions of having your head on a pike. Plus, I want whats best for humanity regardless if I do things a bit _differently_ " Zavala growls and says, "Enough. I'm not here to have a conversation. Give us the coordinates of where you encountered these...things and i'll consider not throwing you off this tower." Drifter smiles mischievously and says, "If I give you the coordinates, you have to let me go with the Wolf so I can settle the score." [Ikora looks at Zavala with distress] [Zavala inhales and exhales sharply] and says, "Fine. Don't think about doing what you did to your last team or I'll make sure its your grave."
[Drifter staring at Zavala begrudgingly hands Amanda Holliday an info card and she puts it in a navigation computer] Amanda says, "there's no way". Ikora looks at the map and says, "where is that?" Amanda stutters and says, "I-I don't know. This isn't even our galaxy." Ikora says, "How do we plan on fighting this thing if we can't even get there?" Amanda says, "I have a Vex tech engine that has the capability of intergalactic travel but it needs parts to fully operate." [She looks at _The Young Wolf_ and smiles] Ghost chimes in and says, "...Oh come on, its always us!" Amanda says, "There's a huge Vex operation on Ganymede and they have most of their high tech parts and crafts stationed there. I'd make a pit stop there and then come back to base." Drifter says, "Yeah, and hurry because if I know these things any better, they're only out for one thing... you're light. We're not safe here." Zavala says, "i'm putting the city on lockdown and having guardian patrols in the last city." Ikora turns to the _The Young Wolf_ and says, "Go get that hyperdrive." [Cut scene ends]
The next mission is much like the beginning of Taken King from Destiny 1. Instead of adding Ganymede as a whole new destination, its just a story mission. You spawn in on Ganymede and start fighting vex and go through their installments until fighting a boss and getting the parts for the hyperdrive."
Long story short you return to the tower and give the parts to Amanda. She upgrades your ship and you're tasked to go to this planet that is called "Unkown planet" in the director. Upon landing you are met with super high wind and snowstorm. Ghost immediately chimes in and says, "Guardian, remember how I didn't feel well when we first met the darkness on Europa, well I'm feeling the exact way now. Whatever these things are are pure darkness. I have a feeling we're both not alone and alone. Keep your eyes open."
Sprint has been disabled since its so windy and the snow is so deep. You're just walking slowly with your gun pointed with no real sense of direction.
[Strange noise like a high pitched scream]
Ghost chimes in, "I don't like this. I don't like this one bit."
Drifter comes over the comm and says, "Quit your whining and keep your gun close. I had to fight 5 of these things. They're like fallen, except not as stupid."
I would keep on going with the story but my hands are done typing. You get the idea. New planet, new species called "The Aphelion."
Lightfall might be the last thing you talked about. If so that would be awesome!

for the titan worm i feel that it is Oryx’s worm that left his body after he exploded when we killed him in the taken king raid. i feel that it left his body very quickly and got to titan
