Your water clarity discussed is much clearer than I routinely fish. Clear water for me is 2.5 ft, stained 1-2ft muddy you can cut with a knife. However, I find that your color selection based on water and sky conditions, time of year, and presence of grass apply and work for me. Our definitions with respect to clarity are definitely different. Congratulations on 25K and keep em coming.
True and good info Randy. I have experimented A lot with colors especially in the trick worms and found that during the post spawn when they are guarding fry, try a pink or bubblegum with both ends dipped in chartreuse. Makes a crazy looking worm they can't resist.
Fantastic video! So true, I never thought of it that way but teaching people where to start and why is huge. It’s most of the battle for many of us. Thanks again Randy. Great stuff.
Good series, very informational. I'll be trying the wacky rig this year just on that information. I've never had much luck on it in the past. A series I would love to see is a brush hog series. I've caught more bass on a baby brush hog than any other bait. I'd love to hear your thoughts on sizes, which hook sizes to use, and colors. I watched your video on modifications and will be using those mods this year. Thanks for the great content.
Thanks Randy for the Videos. Been a follower since the beginning. I'm 55 myself and haven't been able to fish since the 90's due to work. Old school tricks still work for sure. Thanks again.
Always very informative Randy! Probably one of the best channels out there for little tips and tricks. We appreciate all the experience that you share. God bless!
Video Idea: Examples when you changed techniques and caught them and why the successful technique worked. I think many anglers struggle with throwing what they want to throw instead of letting the fish dictate what to throw.
Hey Randy, one tip I have found over the years is in the early summer months when the water temp is really starting to warm like 60-70 degree water. I have had real good success on the cotton candy finesse worm and I will dip one tip in chartreuse and I love to skip it around docks in the heat of the day and my go too is to put it on a VMC flick shake 1/16th oz head for a bit more action.
Keep them coming and we will watch them.. Like the "on the water" videos as well. Just need to make sure your go-pro is pointed toward the water. Last video was a nature show of trees and shoreline. All good just wanted to make sure you knew.
I’ve had several big bites throwing watermelon candy on Table Rock during Spring and Summer. Just rolled up to my Lake Taneycomo home yesterday and will probably give it a try this week on TR?
2.5-3ft visibility is definitely not marginal for a wacky rig. That’s considered fairly clear in most places. I’ve done well many times in less than a foot visibility
Great video. Could you do a video about polarized sunglasses and colors? I never used them and someone told me I need to start using them, but am unsure on which color or colors to use.
Randy do you use the zoom centipede? I like it wacky rigged on a drop shot in cold water, but I'm sure it would be a killer sight fishing bait. Wish they made it in more colors.
Sometimes you can’t combine the two. Floating worms are designed to be finished higher in the water column in the fish come up to bite them, while wacky worms are designed to be fished close to the bottom. Although I have caught fish on a wacky rig bubble gum worm before. You just have to experiment to see what the fish want
Could you do a video on how you judge water clarity? Other than just looking at the surface, how can you tell how many feet of clarity you are dealing with?

I like how in depth you get with what a lot of people tend to overlook. I like your analytical approach. You always give me something new to ponder.
The force is strong with this one!

Thank you for the knowledge.
Thanks randy ! The info will be used when our season opens up here in the northeast.

Thank you for all the great videos.
You left-off my favorite wacky worm the "Wave worm Sweet Potato Pie". My go to worm by a long ways.
Wacky rig has been very good to me.... thanks for the color tips!
I found last year I had really good luck with a cranberry color in dirtier water.
Thanks Randy, im learning alot from yiur great videos

BIG TY for all your help!!!

Watched your video, went to the store and bought a pack of June bug senkos on your recommendation and out to the pond, caught 5 bass in 30 minutes lol
my home lake is lake mead most days its 15 feet visibility. thanks for the tips.
Tks Randy
Thanks alot...you just answered a big question for me!
2.5-3ft visibility is definitely not marginal for a wacky rig. That’s considered fairly clear in most places. I’ve done well many times in less than a foot visibility
Yeah, agreed
I can understand his reasoning. Visibility in most of our lakes is 20+'. Stretches those categories out a bit
Thanks so much ! Mark south of
Always good info! Can you talk more about fishing gin clear water please.
I like green pumpkin/pearl on wacky.
My favorite color is a secret. Way over looked. Caught multiple PBs.
Jerk! Randy shares his secrets, why not you?😂🤣
Thanks Randy the. Colors was what I needed
Great info Randy. Keep it coming! 👍
Great information and great insight.
Great video. I love these tips.
Do you have a video on summer time colors for wacky worms?
Great video, I really enjoyed the live stream last night!
Great video
It would be nice to post a video of you fishing those wacky rogs.
Thanks... you're videos are great
Another great vid keep it up man
Great video. Could you do a video about polarized sunglasses and colors? I never used them and someone told me I need to start using them, but am unsure on which color or colors to use.
Thanks Randy good stuff! Question, do you ever use the zoom red bug color if so what conditions do you use it?
The red bug is good for stained water from my experience. I still prefer the white ones or the baby bass colored ones.
Yes red bug is also good in off colored or tanic water
Nice thanks for the info
Good stuff. Keep it coming Need to improve my drop shot technique
Thanks for the tips

Thanks Randy. So how do we combine this information with what you shared regarding the floating worm technique and the wild bright colors?
Sometimes you can’t combine the two. Floating worms are designed to be finished higher in the water column in the fish come up to bite them, while wacky worms are designed to be fished close to the bottom. Although I have caught fish on a wacky rig bubble gum worm before. You just have to experiment to see what the fish want
I'm probably doing it wrong, but I will toss a wacky rig in muddy water sometimes. I stick to dark colors.
I saw something about a jerkbait only tournament on LOZ this weekend, sounds perfect for you, will you be competing in that?
👍
Awesome 😎😎 you da man
👍👍👍
Thanks very much for sharing
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
No docks and Gin clear water in the BALTIMORE RESERVOIRS...i need to move....
Could you do a video on how you judge water clarity? Other than just looking at the surface, how can you tell how many feet of clarity you are dealing with?
Stick your rod down in there friend. You’ll get a great visual quickly
What MATT said... Also throw a chatterbait and see at what deprh you lose sight...or can no longer see it...
