The only thing I dislike about these videos is the length! We need 10 to 15 min vids! And part 2 of the RC car tour!! I just bought my first real rc car besides Tyco stuff in the mid 90s. I got a 4tec 2.0 with a castle brushless motor and vxl3s speed controller. Slid it around some, gonna take some getting used to. Crazy quick on 3s. Looking at a team associated short course or Traxxas revo next.

I've owned the predecessor model to that cheapo for years! Absolutely indestructible, and just freakin sends like a champ! I've bashed on it like a basher truck, drove it almost exclusively outdoors, tried killing it several times, and it still freakin goes! I don't know about it after they swapped from AAA battery power to that LiPo, and changed the controller, if they changed anything else or not though. But if it's otherwise the same as mine, it's an absolute beast for the money! 1000% worth it, even if you're into the hobby at a higher level than its roots.

Not always true. I have 2 small RCs that are brushless (stock) with the all-in-one electronics.
Hey Kev. The 2WD has four different Gyro Settings. Off - Slight help - advanced help - full help.

I bought the cheap one a few days ago (before watching this video). It is so good. I paid £19 and it drifts round the geound floor of my house (all waxed wood flooring). So much fun.

You can remove the white part on the middle of the toy grade but it will only do left and right but the sterring angle will improve. Use to own one like that when o was little

If you think that toy grade one is bad, a long long time ago I got an r/c car for Christmas. It only went forward and backwards and didn't steer at all, what happened was when you reversed, the front axle angled to the left, then when you go forward it would go straight. So in order to turn, you had to reverse and you couldn't turn right.

dont take offense to people saying that RWD is real drifting. That's because it is. AWD isn't drifting it's powersliding its not the same. These are toy cars and everyone should use whichever one they think is best for them. Thats the best part about RC is that YOU pick which one YOU want! you dont have to get what everyone else gets.

I have about 6 kyosho mini-z. The awd is my favorite for drifting simply because its much faster in drift. 2wd look more realistic to scale but scale speed is slow and boring imo.
Do you suggest a Jeep mini-z?

For the scale, the toy one is the more fun to play, well it's a toy. I modify the tx so it won't travel much in the turning wheel and you have a snappy easy turning.
