I have had a Burgman 650 since 2008. Bought it from a BMW dealer who had traded it in with 4000kms on the clock in Johannesburg South Africa. I am fortunate to own a few other motorcycles as well as a Vespa. In all my years of riding (50+ now) other than my first mandatory Suzuki 50cc i have never loved two wheels more! Its as comfy as a car with outstanding weather protection. Its as reliable as anything. No matter what kind of riding you do it accommodates that. Obviously 'filtering' is an issue.... Its fast, very fast for a scooter. Two up you may as well be on a Goldwing, BMW RT or any other tourer. Its easy to ride to the shops or for 400kms. There is more space in this thing that the crappy little things they call 'cars' these days (nearly!) What i most like about it is the practicality, the enjoyment factor, the smile factor & how bloody easy to ride it is. You use your right hand - period! Every time i ride it i get people pulling up & gawking or asking questions. I get way more attention on this than my HD or a customised Triumph Bobber Black. Bizarre. Get one! If you Love motorcycles this Scoot will make you grin like Jack Nicholson!!!! Its a bitch to service because of the tupperware!
I have one. I'm 6'3. It fits me perfect. You may be a little cramped but I think you can remove the butt cushion for more room. The Burgman 650 fits tall riders better than any maxi scooter!.
