    Bruhhhhhhh😆😆😆😆😆 thank you so much for this video. I have a 2005 gsxr 750 is my baby lol. So after Trying to do rolling burnout for my first time ever after my 3rd time notice my clutch handle had a lot of play on it so i took off home rite after lol. So I'm going up a hill and I noticed my clutch slipping on high rpm only. I tried adjusting it from the handle like 10 times and no luck at ALL . BUT after watching your video I notice I was doing everything wrong so I did exactly what you did on your video on my bike and man I tell you this my clutch handle and clutch grip couldn't feel any better my bike is actually running 100% better than what it was thank you so much for this upload. Clutch it's gripping 100%

    I have a 2002 GSXR 1000 I bought it brand new December of 2001 I opened the box it came in . until recently I have never had any issues with it other than new tires about every six months or so I've been pretty good to it but it's 2020 and father time is starting to catch up! recently I had to replace my chain and sprockets, and now my fork seals are leaking and as you all know motorcycle repairs can be very costly .The new mechanic I've been dealing with has been pretty cool and Fair on his prices but they always try to recoup it one way or the other he noticed my clutch cable had a lot of Slack an adjusted it but he also mentioned I would be needing a new clutch soon which worried me. I also never take anybody on their word I'm very skeptical so I did some research and purchased a new clutch cable hoping that would be the issue the same day after buying the cable I ran across this video and illustration on cable adjustment I followed your instructions word by word and to my surprise not only did I not need a new clutch but I now need to return the new cable I bought because my bike works like the day I bought it . thank you very much for your help and advice👍 truly grateful fellow motorcyclist

The last guy said he put new plates in it and it still doesn't work, when I got it from him the lever just bounced around like it wasn't even connected.

    The book says screw in till you feel resistance, then, 1 and a 1/4 turn out..

    Hi mate my cable is fully adjusted out on the leaver and the bottom nut all the way out can I still do this I think or do I need change the cable, just bought the bike and noticed it, it's under warranty or should I just take bike back n get them to change it

    • @tracksidesolution
      @tracksidesolution  7 лет назад

      If its under warranty and you are unsure, I'd say take it in. It could be an issue of the cable not running down the right path the way it should be.

  • @DmanGuitar327

    after all of this did you spin the lever out a bit to achieve ur release point, i found when i dial mine out it releases higher

    • @tracksidesolution
      @tracksidesolution  6 лет назад

      The clutch lever, i believe, is suppose to have 5-10 mm of free play. Thats the last step you do.

    • @DmanGuitar327
      @DmanGuitar327 6 лет назад

      yeah i just did it on my gsxr 600Y i only had to turn lever dial out once. im at 0.5 inch free play, but i did dial the lower cable out quite a ways. cus before i made sure the inner part was on a good angle. but when i did thd screw n nut i stopped when i felt resistance, so i cant compare lol

    • @DmanGuitar327
      @DmanGuitar327 6 лет назад

      i did give the cable on the sprkt end some slack. now my dial is 2 spins out n has the free play. only thing... i turned the work screw out at tension 1/8 turn, is that ok? 1/4 seems alot n you would have barely any cable in sprocket??

    • @tracksidesolution
      @tracksidesolution  6 лет назад

      It’s been a while since I did this. I just went my the service manual

    • @DmanGuitar327
      @DmanGuitar327 6 лет назад

      yeah to achieve it its all in the sprocket cover side and 1/8 or so turn out on worm gear. the manual says 1/4 but youd have to dial lots out on sprkt side lol

    Hey have a question what is the difference between the top cable and bottom cable for the throttle cable

    • @tracksidesolution
      @tracksidesolution  4 года назад

      One cable is the throttle cable that “pulls” the slide open on the carbs. The other is used to close/return and snap back your throttle on the handle bar.

    • @chucky-zr6dz
      @chucky-zr6dz 4 года назад

      I adjusted the top one do I need to adjust the bottom one too

    • @tracksidesolution

      chucky 7923 yes. Adjust it to the point where it is not tight with just a little bit of free play.

    • @leombayard

      The point of the other cable is incase the return spring on the throttle breaks, that way you're not stuck with an open throttle. It's a safety feature.

      I would check to see that the bottom adjustment were the push rod "pushes" toward the clutch. Thats where all your return pressure is coming from. Sorry for late reply.
