    I like the noise, I have no problem with that. This is a lovely car to drive.

    Come on man, Mazda makes everyday cars for driving enthusiasts. I'm grateful they added the paddle shifters and I'm considering this car because of it. There's nothing wrong with differentiating yourself in the industry with a few extra touches like that. That auto trans shifts pretty fast too, so it's a lot of fun to use the paddles. I'd be praising it in a world where most modern cars are sterile and boring to drive. Most manufacturers go for aggressive mediocrity at this price level.

      We agree that this CX-3 is enjoyable to drive. We just question the need for paddle shifters in it, but that's just us. We appreciate your comments, IronicTonic. Thanks for watching!

    Excellent review. Concise with all major points covered. One of the best reviews of this car I have watched. I bought one a month ago (downsized from an Acura MDX) and enjoy driving it. As another commented, the LDW can be adjusted to make it far less annoying.

      Thank you very much for the kind words, ctranger. We truly appreciate it. We have a couple more Mazda crossovers in the works so we'll look into adjusting the LDW. If you haven't done so already, please consider subscribing to our channel so you'll know first hand when we post those vehicles. Either way, stay tuned and thanks for watching!

    Great review overall. One small note - the lane departure sensitivity can be adjusted, not just shut off. Also, you can change that annoying beep to a (also volume adjustable) rumble strip sound. The default setting for lane departure is "Predictive" which is annoying. I downsized from a 6 to this for AWD, and I'm glad I did. Perfect for people with no kids!

      Thank you for sharing, Ginkoje. We always appreciate info from actual owners. We try to push every button and adjust every adjustment in the time that we have the vehicle, but sometimes there are things that slip past us, so we appreciate you letting us, as well as our viewers, know. Thanks for watching!

    Should I buy this car in 2024 if it has 155k mileage and the price is around 10k?

      While Mazdas are fairly reliable cars, that is a difficult question to answer without seeing the car in person. We recommend you take it for a test drive and if you do not know about the mechanical aspects of a car, bring someone with you who can help, such as a friend, family member or even a mechanic. Sorry we can't help any further, but good luck and happy car shopping!

    Hi I would like to know does 2016 cx3 gt have timing chain inside the engine? Cuz my 2007 cx7 gt had timing chain and turbocharged quit annoying to repair in mechanic repair shop and expansive to repair. Also thx you introducing the 2016 cx3 reviews I can get more to understand about it. I am looking forward buy one this summer man!
    I wonder does Canada have white/red leathers seat? Every country is different.

    Great review, Chris.....I see licorice whips in your future! I really love this vehicle, but the lack of a manual transmission option is disappointing.

    • @AutoAcademics
      @AutoAcademics  8 лет назад +1

      Ha! We'll be the judge of that, aquateen77723. We can't be passing those Twizzlers around like it's Halloween now, can we? Although, we'd exchange a couple for a good old fashioned stick shift on certain cars. The selection is definitely getting smaller. RIP, Viper.

    looks great, I have a 05 Durango 124k paid off of course. I love the size of bigger SUV's like the Tahoe or expeditions. crossover's hasn't won my heart yet

    • @AutoAcademics
      @AutoAcademics  8 лет назад +1

      +Contane 21 Yeah, the CX-3 is a small crossover, Contane 21. So if you're used to that Durango, you'd definitely feel a bit cramped. However, if size were not a concern, the CX-3 is really an enjoyable vehicle to drive. And we think it looks good, too. Until next time!

      Maybe you know the answer to this question: Is LEATHERETTE available in all trims? Or is only real leather available in the Grand Touring? I want a moonroof with leatherette, not leather. Thanks.

    • @AutoAcademics
      @AutoAcademics  7 лет назад

      Sorry for the delay in our response, Michael Self. As far as we know, the Grand Touring only comes with the real leather with lux suede inserts. Hope this helps!

    Feels underpowered when I test drove it. I'm not sure why they couldn't use the Mazda 3 engine in it.

    • @AutoAcademics
      @AutoAcademics  8 лет назад

      +sportsMike87 Surprisingly, the CX-3 doesn't weigh much different than the Mazda3, yet a little extra pep under the hood would have been nice, sportsMike87. Thank you for your comment and thanks for watching, too!

      It is a good car, Sahil Sahota, and while all of these cars are getting expensive, we think the CX-3 is a good car for sub-$30k. Thank you for your comments and for watching, too!
