This series is like the grand tour: you once discovered it because you like cars, but you keep watching it because the presenters have that chemistry and you know they just love doing this format together. May you never run out of cars and houses to showcase.

My wife’s cousin, Edie Yeomans, once asked me “how would you best present your Mazda, MX 5 for sale”? My response; “I would have Donald Osborne photographed sitting in the car”! She let out such a laugh!

Wow. A TR5. Never heard of it. My favorite roadster is a TR6 since childhood. Surry top. Cool. Now I know you two like Triumphs. 57 conv. Beautiful red. Nice. Right hand drive Delahaye. Wow didn't know these were like this. Stunning interior. Beautiful French car for once. Like this episode best. Thanks gents. ❤❤👍😘🤑😎

Regarding Donald’s comment about the one & a half lane roads in England - I was there a few years ago and when I saw these tiny country lanes encompassed by hedgerows, my first thought was that head-on accidents must happen all the time. But no, the British drivers just seem to know how to handle it! They look down the road for approaching traffic and there are little pullover spots where they yield to the other driver. And wave more often than not. I was quite impressed.

The cotal gearbox in the delahaye is definitely a strange box to get used to. Its an electromagnetic planetary. It has more in common with a model t box, than a conventional gearbox. Fun to drive though!

Another fun ride with the gentrified Laurel and Hardy of style in cars and homes. I have to mention that I only recently realized that the TR4A had irs with leaf springs, which probably explains why it wasn't so good.

As I recall, being 77 and actually there at the time, the IRS Triumphs had a reputation of being squirrelly in corners. There were fixes though. A stabilizing transverse leaf spring I think.

Good evening Gentlemen ! Jay. I'm slightly surprised you seemed to be be slightly underwhelmed by the TR5 , a sub 8 second 0 to 60 motor , and for me a beautifully smooth straight 6 . The fastest accelerating car of all the TR's . Today, I had to carefully explain to a number of classic car fans that not all TR4' A 's were l.R.S due to there dislike in North America . And by definition this was a house that you genuinely showed true interest in . Thankyou Jay , and Donald , your patience is admirable !

If you ever do videos with Jay Leno again, you must insist that he put on a suit. You’re such a sharp dresser, it looks like you’re driving a real bum around! I’m sure you can give him some pointers before he leaves. California. He shouldn’t mimic you, naturally, he should do his own style but not how he dresses in the other videos. Cheers!
