Each person has a different role - Marie is in charge of cocktails, Michael Potts is on entertainment, Nati and Philip are laying the table, Selmar is decorating the Grand Salon, and Ruth and I are in charge of the main course. Nick’s Marie seems like such a delightful & fun soul. I’m glad we get a bit of her again. I love the energy Michael Potts brings when he’s there as well. Such a lovely bunch of people to ring the new year in with.
I admire about Stephanie that although she loves to glam up to the max, she is also quite happy to appear in scragged-up hair and unglamorous clothes. Good on her for that confidence and naturalness. 🇦🇺

@@valeriethompson3584 His mother and his father are caring for him just like they do wherever he is. They all has covid tests before they came and are negative. Stephanie and Co have been in lockdown so have been hardly anywhere. They are only there on holiday and he enjoys himself there.

you really need to collect the red wood it costs a fortune to buy , and get a tree surgion to see if the rest of the tree is rescuable or if it needs to come down too , they are how ever pretty sturdy trees , collect all the wood thats only fallen because of storm , its free wood and free is my favourite price , lol

It is lovely to see these four residents return, esp. for these 🥂special celebrations🍾. Marie & Antoine are the sweetest, and the gentlemen add a nice touch too. We got spoiled bcos we saw so much of them earlier in the year.

Yes, pigs in blankets are either sausages wrapped in pastry or wrapped in bacon.
In the Midwest USA, pigs in a blanket are hot dogs or sausages wrapped in crescent roll dough.
Where I’m from that is sausage and rice wrapped in cabbage leaves and baked. Disgusting stuff.

It is fantastic that Limoges still manufactures porcelain in France! Sadly, all the Northern European brand have relocated their production to Asia. The craftsmanship of the manufacture of ceramics is lost. It is very short-sighted; Hurrah to France! Happy New Year to you all, and thank you for your entertainment. My college friends Italian grandmother put cheese and ham in holiday bread. My mother, who left us yesterday at 98yrs10months 10 days, made homemade bread with fresh butter, and homemade wine jelly one Holiday.

You might consider leaving some of those fallen trees as long poles for the old boat house restoration, if you can drag them to the wood shed. It looks like you will still have more than enough wood to cut for firewood. Happy New Year and thanks for making this strange year not a complete loss.

New glasses with a touch of gold are simply exquisite. Can imagine using them upside down in several ways. The top could be used to show an individual flower with a short stem & underneath glass could even have a message in it or place setting names. Easter, the top could be used to showcase a colored egg & the underside glass could showcase miniature figurines such as Peter Rabbit. Lastly, these glasses used upside down could add unobtrusive height to a center table arrangement with added flowers or greens. What a great find. Happy New Year everyone, 2021. Hopefully I can visit Chateau LaLande.

Hi Stephanie, I know this comment on your vlog is over a year late! But we have just watched your vlog (which we missed as we did not start watching your vlogs till towards the end of January!) and with the way you are going to cook the turkey crown for New Year. Because there are normally just myself, Nick and our son, Mark for Christmas Lunch we have had a turkey crown for the last few years from M&S and they are sooo 'moist' and tender, it comes with a chestnut stuffing. We add pork and sage stuffing balls and chipolata sausages round the turkey crown in the roasting tin. No wastage and afterwards we have turkey cold and I make a Turkey Cacciatora with Penne pasta, tomatoes, herbs etc etc., which has become a tradition. I prepare the crown the same way as you did and just make sure it is constantly being basted during cooking. So I am sure yours will have been greatly enjoyed too as has your vlog as usual!
