I just RE bought my CUBASE and home studio gears days ago. This really was beneficial to my increasing knowledge 🔥🔥. People really sleep on CUBASE tho 🥲 BUT I LOVE CUBASE 💯💯💯💯
I have also just brought a new set up. I brought a steinberg ur44c and that came with the cubase 12 AI software plus the basic suite halion and retrolouge.. I had a long break from making music because of financial problems.. but I'm definitely upgrading to cubase 12 pro as I personally think it is easy to understand and the best DAW for me. I recommend the ur44c as well for many good reasons I won't go into. Anyway I think the stock plugins are amazing. EQ and basic compression in the channel strip on every channel. Now I'm just a happy bedroom cubase user glad to see others think the same way... peace and make greatness happen
Thank you very much for this video brother!
Thanx for making this. Subscribed. 😊
Good showcase of the stock Cubase plugins with some gems thrown in!
I find that the 3rd party plugin version at 2:57 sounds brighter and more compressed vs the stock version at 41:35
No doubt the stock plugins can match with a bit more tweaking.
Yup for sure everything to taste. I may do a full video from beginning to end just stock including the master bus
Yep
@@KeefKeyzproductions please do, I will be needing that. Thank you in advance.
Good job bruh 😮
This is a very good video for beginner like myself. I like the way things are explained and the illustrations. The step by step guide on the main vocal chain is very helpful and you can bet I will be using it. Do you have a video on how to add the background vocals?
Good job on this work bro!!!
lovely tutorial thanks
I can't wait to buy the pro version of cubase 12. I'm using AI at the moment to make beats with and I have to say its pretty good considering it came free with the steinberg ur44c I brought. Great video it was what I needed to hear right now. Also the ur44c comes with a channel strip plugin that is good for a bit of compression and EQ. I used only what came free basically to make a few tracks and they sound good. Definitely upgrading ASAP....
Upgrading will make a great difference for you. Some of the biggest features that I use in the pro version or the control room that gives you dedicated output, metering as well as recording functionality if you have a booth and also allows you to do a lot as if you had a physical consul in front of you. There’s so many other features that are great in the pro version of ours
When mixing… does it matter to use Sends for EQ and Compression? Or use them as inserts?
Good question. In this digital world the blanket answer is you can do what you want but just know how inserts and sends operate. EQ and Compression most of the time is always as an insert because that is the direct contact to the original signal. But also you can send the audio to a compressor to do parallel compression. The basic answer you can do what you want but if your starting to mix just put them on the inserts that’s a very safe place.
@@KeefKeyzproductions thank you 🔥🔥🔥💯 I’ll try this out for sure !
Nice 👍
Even tho the song is very SHIT, the guide is absolutely REMARKABLE, (for beginners at least).
Thank you! :)
Thanks for watching long enough to form an opinion!
And why add multiple EQs and Compressors? Can’t they all be done at once on a single one instead of 2?
Good question. Not all EQ’s are made the same. Some EQ’s are transparent meaning when using it, it does what you expect it to do. Some EQ’s have color, meaning that they add tone to your signal as well. You can also use multiple plugins in a chain to effect just the low end or the high end. Every plugin you add may add some new tone and frequencies, and since they do this might mean you need to compress the newly added frequencies.
Can’t wait for my day off work to have a full day to experiment with CUBASE seems fun and challenging 💯lol
When mixing a song, do you send your effects from the mono channel or you send them through the group track.
Thank you for doing this I swear the cubase videos don’t actually help where you break it down and speak like a human and not a computer lol
No problem at all!
