Hayley said it best on the last album (which by the way was excellent.) "Some of us have to grow up sometimes." Paramore since the beginning has made good music. The sad part of this all is that, music fans always expect their favorite artists to be the same as when they came out, or a certain album. Is life that way? do we just stay kids forever? What if we ate the same food? or wore the same clothes everyday? Life wouldn't be fun if we didn't take any chances or try new things. So in a nutshell (& no offense to because I love this side of them too.) Riot, All we know is.., and BNE fans? that's what youre asking from them, to stay the same. Paramore is one of my favorite bands, but I really didn’t like this album when it came out. But over the years, it’s grown on me so much, and now I love it. This is one of my favorite Paramore songs, and an awesome opening track. I still prefer their punk sound, but After Laughter is still such a great listen that I play in the car with friends constantly. And I’m glad they’re not afraid to experiment and try new things. That’s part of what makes them so cool.
I love it when my favorite bands try new sounds, i love it because its like every album is different from the other so i have variety so when i feel in an specific mood i can listen to the album that best matches it, i love paramore and i love their new sound
Actually that's where you're wrong. A lot of people like Linkin Parks new sound. You really expect them to do the same thing over and over? Of course you did otherwise you wouldn't be complaining about it. People get bored it's part of being human. Doing the same thing over and over is boring. As people we have the urge to explore and do new things, otherwise we become restless. Plus you honestly think they care if a few fans leave just because they have new sound? No they don't because they gain more fans with the new sound and the true fans stick with them.
From 2:57 the only line I can hear is: Somebody is gettin’ fired Beyoncé did it so we can too And I can’t wait to speak with you It’s the third time you’ve done that shit to us😂
I know what you mean! I feel like I'm more addicted to the video than the actual song but it's growing on me. I love all the movement, color, and energy from Hayley.
Wow, I don't think I've ever seen someone try this desperately to troll people in a small subsection of the RUclips comments, and I mean, this is RUclips. Does the little baby really need attention? Awww, it's okay, go ahead and yell in all caps all you want, and we can maybe pretend to be angry for you if it helps.
You can enjoy this during hard times or even after hard times. Hayley’s voice is just amazing. Paramores music has always had a way of touching me or making me feel something. I can’t say the same for most artists but Paramore is definitely a gem
I grew up loving this band. Many has changed but that's what made them truly exceptional and stronger. From punk rock to alternative funky-techno-new wave rock, Paramore doesn't disappoint! I'm excited for their new album! And, welcome back to my favorite drummer, Zac Farro! :D
Man, it's been six years already? Hard times is still a banger! I just read that Hayley came down with a lung infection and had to cancel the remaining dates of the recent NA tour. Take all the time you need, Hayley. Your true fans understand and will be waiting for your next release. Get well soon!
Got here from David Byrne. I get why he did this tune. It's the kind of thing he might have written. I'm only twenty years late getting to this band. Well, I'm here now.
Man I hated After Laughter but the further into depression I get the more I love it. She makes depression so relatable, but manages to make you want to feel better again even when you feel like there’s so hope in sight. This is one of those songs and honestly the whole album is like this.
I mean everyone is entitled to feel however they feel about their style, you can't really force people to be fans. I'm just pumped that they are back and hopefully they come down to Australia..

I still prefer their punk sound, but After Laughter is still such a great listen that I play in the car with friends constantly. And I’m glad they’re not afraid to experiment and try new things. That’s part of what makes them so cool.
thank you the dog from raditude
This really got me out of hard times, so thank you. Forever love this song
I love it when my favorite bands try new sounds, i love it because its like every album is different from the other so i have variety so when i feel in an specific mood i can listen to the album that best matches it, i love paramore and i love their new sound
Except if that band is Linkin Park
Linkin Park has a good new sound.
The only person who agrees with you is Chester himself.
Suddenly my life just got better , i can't wait to hear whole album

I can't explain it but everything about the song and video just feels right??? Like it's very pleasing to the ears and eyes for me idk man
Yes! I agree with you!
Zoosmell Egbert accurate I keep listening to it and I just realized how many times I've actually come back to this video XD
Zoosmell Egbert this new era is very aesthetically pleasing.
I know what you mean! I feel like I'm more addicted to the video than the actual song but it's growing on me. I love all the movement, color, and energy from Hayley.
Zoosmell Egbert oh yeah.
I love Paramore's After Laughter era so much. This album deserve more attention;(
That "deverse" though....it fucked me up for a minute lmao

dijaydep This comment deserves an edit.
dijaydep no it doesn’t.
One of the best music videos ever
Man have I been sleeping on Paramore all these years this is tops

Limey Lassen for real
Don't forget Ain't It Fun
Wow, I don't think I've ever seen someone try this desperately to troll people in a small subsection of the RUclips comments, and I mean, this is RUclips. Does the little baby really need attention? Awww, it's okay, go ahead and yell in all caps all you want, and we can maybe pretend to be angry for you if it helps.
You can enjoy this during hard times or even after hard times. Hayley’s voice is just amazing. Paramores music has always had a way of touching me or making me feel something. I can’t say the same for most artists but Paramore is definitely a gem
Yeah the vibe of this song really reminds me of reminiscing about being in a worse place and being able to look back on it and laugh/cry
Same
@@wubbie4 So maybe it’s a song you can enjoy even when you’re back to going through good times ❤️
As someone who has experienced major depression, these lyrics are awesome and therapeutic
Love this song 😍
I realize this is supposed to have a deep meaning but the beat just makes you so happy and want to dance
Cookie 101 you obviously haven’t heard Semi charmed life or Hey Ya
This song makes Depression sound fun
When it is most definitely fucking not when you’re at rock bottom and you see no light at the end... but could also just be hormonal so knows
Its crawzyy
I find the music video oddly satisfying. All the colors and expressions make me feel so chill??
everything is satisfying the video, the lyrics and the music

Irony is a bubbly, energetic, unbeat song lyrically being about a depressing subject.
we stan
That’s kinda Paramore’s thing. Almost every song is like that.
@@Lipbuzz Is it tho, their old stuff...
it's about depressed people who questions life
Like pumped up kicks
god that era of "drawing over music videos with offensively bright colours in pastel and chalk" was super creative and nice i loved it
2024 and still a HIT! love paramore, their work since 2004! Its been 21 years with amazing group.
I love how every single Paramore song has these three qualities
- absolutely slap
- age like a fine cheese
- have a banging music video
Exactly like a beautifully well crafted block a cheese
Me thinking cheese doesn’t age well: 🤨
@@mikaasav1193 Cheese ages pretty well under certain conditions. This is why we have different types of cheese
@@vasilikikakara3092 Oooh, alright thanks!
Brooo...ages like fine wine is more like it
It’s amazing how much this band has transformed over the years yet still manages to make each new album better then the last
No lies here
Man I hated After Laughter but the further into depression I get the more I love it. She makes depression so relatable, but manages to make you want to feel better again even when you feel like there’s so hope in sight. This is one of those songs and honestly the whole album is like this.
I honestly don't care if their music style has changed. The fact that they are still around and making music, is good enough for me.
Yeah I think people need to appreciate that especially because Hayley said herself that after self titled she was about ready to quit :/
I mean everyone is entitled to feel however they feel about their style, you can't really force people to be fans. I'm just pumped that they are back and hopefully they come down to Australia..
Michelle Kiriama ikr? Like this is way better than pulling an mcr
Michelle Kiriama same tbh
