Well I have totally given up on successfully growing by our black walnut tree....as the tree grew I lost more and more things to the juglone. So speaking from years experience don't count on those things growing so good......maybe they will for you, but for me in my yard they just do not. I decided to put it back to grass and let it be. I have lots of other places to grow so just makes sense for me. Maybe plant a mix of the things that you think should grow by them and see how it goes. Thanks for the reminder on soaking nuts!
IMO, you are doing a lot of work for nothing. Phytates are antioxidants that can help reduce inflammation and reduce cancer growth and have numerous other health advantages. Yes, phytates can also bind to certain minerals and prevent your body from absorbing those nutrients in full quantities, but that usually isn't a problem if you are eating a healthy diet. If you want to counter the nutrient binding affects of the phytates you can just make sure you eat your seeds and nuts with some vitamin c. You don't have to go through all this crazy soaking and drying. Nuts are perfect the way they are and phytates can be very good for you. Always do your research. Hopefully this helps someone.
I am on calcium and vitamin D supplements as it was discovered I have osteoporosis in my spine with several fractures. I notice on the instructions it says not to have them within 2 hours of whole grains and nuts and seeds so if I soak and dry my nuts and seeds I’ll be able to consume them with the supplements without any problem. Thanks for the info!
There's so much trickiness to eating properly and thinking that you're great and then finding out that it's sabotaging something else in your body. Soaking whole wheat and sprouting it and then dehydrating it and then using it is my next step but obviously you see how labor intensive that is. I will do a video on it and see if I can get it down to a quick science. But by soaking and dehydrating the nuts you're removing the phytate so you should be able to eat those whenever you want to
Missy should continue to produce milk as long as you milk her. Justin Rhodes milks up until 2 (or 3?) months before the cow calves. Of course, thats assuming you WANT her to continue producing milk. From what I understand drying off your cow can be problematic if you don't do it correctly. Think mastitis, etc.
Her production has been low and seems to be decreasing. She does not let down without Brisket trying to nurse first so we may have a tussle preventing mastitis. Day at a time.
Jim I need you to follow me around and prompt the words thats in my head but won't come out!🤣 you guys crack me up. Another thing...I watch all your videos did I miss the one about the other cows you had? Last question...if I soak my nuts and dehydrate do they turn a hard crunchy? Hubbie and I lack a few teeth. Thank you ~Pam ~
I'm not sure when Jim was talking about with other cows but we used to have a three other cows on the property when we first moved back a year ago that belonged to the people who had been in our home the two years we were gone. We kept them for several months here.

@@HeartinessApproach thanks Rhenda. Trying to separate the supple from whole grains is the trickiest bit for me as we eat whole grains at most meals.

What temp do you dehydrate nuts?
Her production has been low and seems to be decreasing. She does not let down without Brisket trying to nurse first so we may have a tussle preventing mastitis. Day at a time.
We dehydrate the nuts at 135 degrees

The nuts do not get harder in fact I find them much easier to chew because there's no moisture in them.

Those are the cows...so they went to thier owners. I'm guessing I didn't miss a video then.
