Aoa. Today my net meter is installed by GEPCO sialkot. How will I know that it is active for export now.? Should I visit the GEPCO office after 2 to 3 days or should I wait for the next bill. As a safer time, I am using electricity from the 2nd meter
@@cognitiveacademy6601 I will rephrase my Question. An Agreement for NetMetering (which I called NOC) between consumer and DISCO is valid for 3 years, can the DISCO opt to not renew it this Agreement/NOC once first 3 years lapse?
@@SardarNDaman Agreement between disco and consumer is for 7 years. Only buy back rates can be changed within this period. After 7 years it can be changed to gross metering or whatever govt will decide.
@@cognitiveacademy6601 NEPRA rules say that agreement will be for 3 years and it will be renewed automatically after 3 years. Since you mentioned it is valid for 7 years do we have any proof of this (notification, circular or law?)
@@cognitiveacademy6601 in some area DISCO is not approving net metering license and the reason they gave is that the transformer on which you want to install green meter has already reached its capacity.
Yes it's true. If the transformer is loaded to its 80% capacity due to already installed DG facilities then the transformer should be upgraded. The cost would be borne by the consumer asking for approval.
@@cognitiveacademy6601 Thank you for your guidance, Transformer upgradation is a hectic process and costly as well, for residential consumer who wants to install green meter this is almost impossible for him to bear the cost of new transformer.
Process maximum 15 days leta ha.....aur 25kw se nechy agr system ha to 50 to 60k me ho jana chaiye.....ab new AMI meters lag rhy...wo expensive hain 52k ka sirf meter ha....

Can you tell me the make of the meter? Is it green one or AMI totally white?
if we increase scantion load 5kw then we increase our solar system to 12 kw then we need again to apply for load extension?
Yes..with 5 kw sanctioned you can have maximum PV capacity of 7.5kw...if you want 12kw PV then you need to extend load upto 8kw..
are they going to discontinue green/net meter at the end of this year?
Green meters will be replaced by AMI meters which are also bi-directional
I believe NOC is the final document issued by DISCO before Green Meter is intsalled, how long is this NOC valid for?
NOC is given to the consumer to buy green meter. Then the same meter will be checked by the M&T. Then meter will be installed.
There is no validation for that NOC.

Is the 30% transformer exceed rule also important?
Are you asking about loading position due to already installed DG facilities?
