I feel so bad for her. She had a controlling husband who was a bad example to his sons about how to treat a woman. They were disrespectful to her all the time, and Chad even called her lazy in his autobiography. Poor lady has been belittled her whole life, and now she has to go through the pain of having an adulterer and murderer for a son.
I do not know if she was in denial when her son Matt tried talking to her about CHAD's SINS the mom flipped the script and told Matt *Let's Talk About Your Imperfect Wife* Talking about his wife Heather Daybell the one the Father, Mother and Chad called a Pot Stirrer because she stir up trouble in their minds
If people make waves by not being quiet and ask questions about their faith and if they are being lied to and deceived seems like a reason to challenge the belief system in place..
I had a son pass away 20 years ago and people always say that is the worse thing a parent can go through but in MY head my inner response is aways that i would much rather have a dead child than to have given birth to someone who could murder and/or abuse a child. This woman birthed a multi muderer who killed her DIL of 30 years and killed 2 children and is a likely sexual predator of Julie Rowe is to be beliebed. I would would MUCH rather be in my situation than to be this woman.
What is scary to me and I hope I am wrong - I get this vibe Chad Daybell groomed his kids about the Dark and Light spirit of people and the Dark Spirit people were Zombies who need to pass over to the afterlife to correct their sins or whatever the weird fact is ...basically grooming them to be killers ......I tell you his adult kids creep me out that interview they did all 5 of them...... now weirds me out since Chad's Daybell trial started and the video clip of Emma (his daughter) and Chad talking while Chad was handcuffed in back of the Police Car......... what threw me for a loop Emma said kind of irritated
"(Dad, I'm not Colby)"... out of the blue......when they were discussing about the money and what needed to be paid and what not .......On the Interview they all claimed they did not know anything about Lori having kids or anything until after Dad was arrested and sitting in jail........but on this particular Day ...Chad had not been arrested yet and was just being detained because they did not want him to flee and she brings up Colby Ryan name.........Lori had been sending Colby money to help him out because he had lost his job before she got arrested and extradited back to Idaho ...if they did not know about Tylee and JJ then who faces were spattered all across America ...how did she know about COLBY .......... something ain't right

Ty east idaho news for doing these full testimony clips. I catch up every evening with the amazing Nate Eaton. This gives me the opportunity to watch back just what I want to without going into the trial if I missed something! Great job!
State was very kind with Mama Daybell. They've gotten their point across without going for the juggler thus far. Mr Prior has one heck of a job to do. People taking jabs at him is so unkind. I'm sure he's gone into this keeping in mind his career choice is not going to put HIM in the best of light. Unfortunately we live in a world where some people are horrible but still deserve fair representation. Not every lawyer is cut out to be a defense attorney. I applaud Mr Prior for being a defense lawyer. But yeeesh Chad didn't give him much to work with. Just because we hear Chad was always soft spoken doesn't mean he didn't do what he's accused of. It's the quiet ones that need watching most of the time. Sorry for the long post but being a mom as well I think mom daybell was questioned by both sides appropriately. In turn she responded with short simple answers. I'm sure that's what she was instructed to do by council. Have a wonderful day everyone. Stay safe
How could he be struggling with the loss of his partner, when he's already planning to be married in two weeks.
I can't imagine Chad any other way than with the wooden, expressionless face & demeaner he has publicly displayed.
This whole argument that Chad was a good boy and Lori made him go astray is just bonkers that anybody actually thinks this is an excuse. I don't believe it for a second, but even if it was true, he's a grown man with a free will. Even if she had thrown herself naked on his bed HE is still responsible to God and his wife to say NO! God holds us responsible for our own actions! He chose to sin, not only once but many times that led to these murders of the innocent people in their way. No excuses for Chad.

They were 2 sick puppies creating the perfect storm. It was pure lust and greed for the money they got from their heinous acts. He deserves the DP and I hope AZ gives it to Lori in her next trial

He isn't a good lawyer, but thats ok, Chad chose him and paid for him. At least hes not a public defender on taxpayer's dime.
You’re allowed to ask leading questions on cross. Prosecution has the opportunity for redirect if they need it

Why would her attorney advise against it? She's stuck with 3 consecutive life sentences. It wouldn't affect her case

Even if Lori knows or knew she likely agreed to it as conviction would mean the death penalty for him. They never attempted it for her because not only is there no insanity defense everyone felt the risk of an appeal with death was too big a risk with Lori. As far as I know her delusion continues and so she would definitely do whatever to preserve this loons life.
I wish the prosecutor asked if Lori said how her daughter died. And, I wish they objected more on Prior’s leading questions like… Chad was stoic, intovert, not worldly… and all the other questions he asked followed by, “isn’t that right?”. Like what?!!!!
Maddening.... and no objections.
The only one who objects to him very often is Blake, and she hasn't been doing it too often in this trial

And we don't hear her being asked that and she never says she is proud.
What makes you think she's proud of him? She gave no indication that she was proud of what he did

Idk, in a lengthy interview on Hidden True Crime YT channel, Heather Daybell, Sheila Daybell’s daughter in law, said that Sheila was kind of the family doormat. That her husband and boys were rather disrespectful towards her. That it was a very patriarchal family. I suspect that Sheila doesn’t have much self confidence. She comes off very timid. Plus, I think she’s ashamed of Chad and what he’s done, not proud at all.

Oh and the fact she did not like the way Chad Married Lori so fast after Tammy's death - she did say she thought it was too soon - but Prior the Attorney was trying to make her justify that the LDS Faith do marry quick after a spouse passes away or they get divorced and she said not within 2 weeks

In the US, every defendant charged in a criminal case are by law entitled to a defense by an attorney. That is a good thing. Chad's attorney is supposed to by law give the best defense he can. Don't be mad at his attorney. That is what by law he is supposed to do. As it is, Pryor does not have much to work with.
@@florencehaber9847 *The house thing irritates Pryor* - he tried to say Chad House is a one story house and he could not have told Tammy's little cousin that Tammy was upstairs at first before she died .........However 4 other people have come forward and said there is an addition built to the house when Chad and Tammy bought it which has an upstairs ....the Sister In Law Heather Daybell, the Friend who lived down the street Alice Gilbert, the Real Estate Agent Man, and the FBI Agent who came to investigate.......
Shelia minimiized everything relationship to her son Chad. The inflection in her voice sounded rehearsed. The last time she saw Tammy was at a baby christening where Chad and Tammy were grandparents for the first time I believe. When the prosecutor asked Sheila how Tammy seemed to be on that October 13, 2019 and she said "Fine." I'd bet Tammy was more than fine, she was probably over the moon happy to be a grandmother to Emma's new little baby. I saw a picture of her holding a newborn and that must be a blessing to Tammy back then she had no reason to think she was if all people about to be murdered for life insurance she supposedly "signed off" on. What insurance company even insures a person for $300,000 from one insurance company and then $130,000 on another policy on a 49 year old librarian who was said to have earned $16,000 a year with holidays and summer's off school probably snow days too. Anyway it's very odd Shelia seems very robotic like in her answers. Wonder why Jack didn't testify? What is Chad's relationship like with his mom, dad and siblings growing up. Is he the oldest of 4 children?

My question is just when the h was it that "killing the kids" was part of their conversations? Just how was it manifested? Did Alex tell Chad " I can make them disappear and you'll never know a thing?" Cuz that's what lori and chud acted like afterward.

She doesn't project that in the least. Maybe you were being sarcastic? She's just a dutiful religious woman providing the only info that could possibly be used in defense; that her son wasn't worldly and lori was persuasive. Give me a break.
