Salut D'Amour,Op.12- E.Elgar (Piano)/ Love's Greeting / Libesgruss

It was this 'Love's Greeting' which was composed and presented to his wife, Carolyn Alice Roberts, by the English-loving romantic composer Edward Elgar (1857-1934).
At the time, Alice was eight years older than Elgar and a Christian believer in a wealthy family environment with an army chief, but Elgar was opposed because she was a poor Catholic. But their love was firm, and they both promised to marry. In the summer of 1888, Carolyn presented her love poem, Love's Grace, to Elgar in return.
Elgar and Alice married in Kensington, London, in May 1899. But Alice felt sad that Elgar's musical talent was unknown. Her active invitation led Elgar to compose.Thanks to his wife's active support and support for 13 years, he became a composer who made his name known to the world. Famous for his music at age 42, he received honorary doctorate degrees from Cambridge, Oxford, Yale University, and Sir. Received a merit medal and mansion from the state, Elgar is a British musician and national pride. Despite opposition from the family, Elgar eventually gained love and lived the life of a successful musician with riches and honor.
When Ellis died in 1920, he returned to his hometown and spent seclusion. He did not work as usual during his 14 years after his wife left.

Elgar died on February 23, 1934, at age 77.
Elgar loved only his wife, so his music and life seem to shine even better. The behind-the-scenes story of this song, which I thought was just beautiful melody, is more beautiful.
