There are literally a gazillion continuity errors in Halloween II, especially with regards to where it continues from where the original Halloween left off. Loomis firing seven shots from a six shot revolver. Laurie's dialogue to Tommy and Lindsey being an alternate take and not the same one that is seen in the original movie. Michael falling from above the front porch and onto the front lawn, instead of falling from the bedroom balcony onto the lawn on the left side of the house. Loomis not looking down at the lawn from the bedroom window as he did in the original and instead running out of the front door. And of course, the revelation that Laurie is Michael's sister, which is completely inconsistent with the first film. Michael is established as being 21 years old, which makes him four years older than Laurie, who would've been two years old when a six year old Michael killed his older sister, Judith, in 1963. There is simply no way that she could be his sister without anyone knowing about it. Also, if Michael escaped from Smith's Grove to kill Laurie because she's his younger sister, then why does he spend most of the night stalking Annie and Lynda in the Wallace house when Laurie is right across the street in the Doyle house? Even John Carpenter admitted that was a dumb plot twist.
Those are all good! I always thought it was weird Loomis acts confused by Laurie being his sister, since he was Michael’s doctor and seemed to know EVERYTHING about him. He also acts like he hasn’t seen Marion in years, even though they were attacked together the night before when Michael escaped. I don’t include them all or I’d be going through the entire movie😂, but some of those you listed I never noticed/thought of. Thanks for pointing them out!

I kinda thought that all of those continuity errors were ridiculous considering that Halloween II was produced by Universal Pictures and had a budget of over $2 million, while the original Halloween was produced by an independent studio, Compass International, with a budget of only $300,000. The sound editors having seven shots fire from Loomis' revolver when only six shots are heard in the original movie was unforgivable.
I remember seeing this in theaters when it came out and aside from the mask not looking like the mask from H78, when they pull the sheet down to show Annie with her throat a bloody gory mess from being slashed, in the original when Laurie discovers her laid out on the bed at the foot of the headstone, you can clearly see there is no gore, just a red line across her throat and her white button down shirt doesn't have a single drop of blood on it.
That’s true! I noticed new blood on Laurie but didn’t even think about Annie not being bloody in bed at the end of part 1. That’s cool you saw it in theaters! My first Halloween in theaters was H20, but I was able to see the original Scream in theaters in 6th grade- lol.
A movie mistake that I found was when Michael went into Alice’s house, he was not holding the knife but he killed her with it and stole it from the el rods house.
Right! Because he runs downstairs and acts confused instead of seeing it from upstairs? It’s the balcony for me… Why not just use the same footage?! lol. Show part 1 and then start with Loomis running outside knowing he’s already missing.
Love me some Chucky, so I’m definitely planning on it! My videos should start back in the next 2 weeks, it’s pretty high on my list to at least do the first one. Look out for it!
The part when Loomis shot him, he literally fell off a PLATFORM. That was so fake. Even as a kid I knew it was FAKE. They could've at least had a stuntman stumble and fall professionally! That was the corniest part of the movie. Was he walking on air?! That had to be the WORST scene ever. I love Halloween but that scene was lame. It looked like he was walking on air right off the balcony.
I've watched this movie for 30 years and thought I knew all the goofs. But wow! I missed alot. Good eye, cutie!
