Good morning and a happy Monday to all. Hope everyone has a pleasant week. That booklet is almost a - LOL, just as I was about to type the word "magazine," you said, "It's kind of like a little magazine..." Good to see we're on the same page (pun totally intended). I paused the video (I know, what a shock) to take a peek at that hot chocolate recipe. That is *exactly* the recipe that I use, and I think you're going to really like it. The yarn colors are just beautiful; getting two different colors is quite nice. It looks very squishy & elastic, both excellent traits in a yarn. Of the three projects, my favorite is the pot holder, although with such a loose stitch I'd use it as a trivet. Stork scissors are just the best; sadly I've lost every single pair of mine (although one actually got confiscated at the airport years ago, but oddly they didn't say a word about the far more dangerous 12" long US13 rosewood knitting needles that were in the same carrier...) This box seems just as complete and high-quality as the first one, and you can't beat the price for everything that you get. I'm very impressed with the company so far, and am excited to see what's in store for next month. Alas, I probably won't have any pictures to send you for the "from the community" segment this time around. I've started working on Christmas gifts, and because my cell phone is stupid and won't communicate with my laptop, the only way I have to post photos is to upload them from the phone to Instagram, then screenshot the pictures. Since at least two of the people I'm sewing for follow me on Insta, well, those aren't gonna get posted for several months. I *might* have some pics I didn't send you yet; I'll have to check.
Good Morning and Happy Tuesday! I'd call it a trivet too, I've been working on it because it is a new stitch I wanted to experiment with it but to me, it feels like it's going to be a bit stiff but also loose, if that makes sense. Maybe to take a kettle off the burner but I don't think I'd use it to carry pots around. Definitely great to be a trivet though. But we'll see, I haven't actually made it yet. Just currently playing with the stitches. Good to know about the scissors, I was contemplating taking them with me, but maybe I'll bring a cheap pair of snips I don't care about. It's so weird TSA doesn't thinking knitting needles can be weapons. I'm impressed too, but time will tell 😊 You are far more proactive than I. I should be switching over to Christmas projects, but Halloween fabric is on sale at Joann and they had singer fat quarters with dressed up dogs for 60% off, and I seem to have no impulse control, so.... long story short, I may still be in my Halloween phase and will be scrambling when I get back in October. You can also send photos Instagram if it's easier, but I'm sure you want to keep your gifts to yourself for a little while longer ❤️
@@fredmakesthings I *should* be in Halloween mode more - we are so far behind on the yard haunt, and poor Mr O is doing 99% of the work - but I think doing Midsummer Scream kinda burned up that energy (a thing I didn't realize was even possible.) I'm just in more of a stitchy mood than a witchy one, LOL!
@@veronesegianna they look like they are located in the Netherlands so my guess would be yes but I am sure you can either message them or try ordering a box for yourself to see what happens.
@@alannahawkins I just took a look at the listed contents of the box and it doesn't say anything about a hook. The instructions say "using the hook from a previous box..." so maybe it's supposed to be a bonus item. The first box that came was a starter box which held a hook, which makes me think everybody gets a hook in their first box. We'll have to wait and see if we get another one down the road. 😊

That’s a pretty purple
It’s so pretty! I almost don’t want to use it.
Question: Did you not get hooks this month? I thought you were supposed to get hooks every month?? Thanks! Love the purple yarn!
