I've been listening to this album since its release, but I only just now realized that this song, more than any other on the album, hinted that they were in their final stretches as a band. Jake wanted to start saying something more profound with their music, and he saw Bren was struggling, but he didn't want Bren to leave. He wanted to build something bigger and better together.

@@thehamierocket2412 they broke up in 2017 due to the stress the band put on all of them. Brendan’s struggle with mental illness didn’t help either.
